On the trees, that's lichen. It's a symbiotic relationship, from what I read it doesn't harm the trees. ❤️. So happy you're ok...lots of water wow!
I would think the stuff on the trees is lichen and not blight. Glad you are ok.
Yes I agree, it is lichen. It grows whenever the humidity is high. And is much more visible after a rain.
Those horses answered you lol. The first one pawed the ground and the other one turned it's head to show you 😂 You are so very blessed. Seeing the devastation elsewhere, you were definitely protected. Psalm 91 Kaye! I found out last night that during Monday nights tornado warning here, an F1 was on the ground within walking distance from my house. It destroyed a few buildings and threw some large vehicles around. But we have had 11 inches of rain in one week and the drought is over so I also am very blessed! 🙌🙌🙌
You and the garden will overcome! God will not have what he has created mocked. One day at a time. Hugs to you my friend!
Power of prayer. You definitely was blessed.
So glad your okay and the damage wasn't worse. Thank God.
I bought my home 21 years ago because of the trees. My block was a canapé of trees meeting directly over the streets. I literally went to work one morning (12 hour shifts), and came home, confused I missed my street. My God…in those 12 hours I was gone, the city took down every single tree on the blocks. It was so ugly…I was sick! Sick to my stomach, and furious. Found out they had that Elm Dz. Unbelievable….i pray that doesn’t Hampton you. I planted a beautiful Cherry Tree I just took down. I enjoyed that tree for 20 years
So glad you're ok!
One positive thing is it’s easier to pull weeds after a rain. I’ll bet your crops will mostly be ok after it dries up. Glad you’re safe. Nancy from Nebraska
Dear Kaye, You are in my thoughts and prayers.
We had elm trees die on our old farm in Vt when I was a teen. It was from Dutch Elm disease. So sad. Glad you are well. Praise Abba for His grace🙏🙏
I'm so glad you're alright 🙏
Wow. So grateful you are ok.
Yes, thank you
Thats Lichen Kaye, It is epic it shows you have zero chemicals in the air, as they are very sensitive! Its a sign you have very very clean air and the lichen photosynthesise for the tree too!
I've already forgotten what you are referring to, I will have to go back and watch. I made 4 videos in 3 days, haha.
I’m so glad you’re ok. It was crazy
That green on the trees is lichen. I'm not sure if I'm spelling it right, but look it up it's supposed to be good for you.
Yes, lichen grows on dying, rotting wood.
My husband is a certified arborist - lichen can grow on rocks, walls, healthy and unhealthy trees. It's harmless.
I thought I read somewhere that lichen is also known as a antibiotic in the herbal world
Grandfathers beard. Good as penicillin;)
And it's supposed to grow where the air is clean. I don't know if that's true because I live in a big city close to a busy street and it's growing on my apple tree.
Hi Kaye so happy you and your home are safe thanks be to the FATHER ABOVE . We had some storms come through here around 1:30 this morning until after 5 am but everything's ok , the thunder was so loud it rattled the canning jars in my pantry and vibrated the whole house. May GOD keep blessing you and keeping you safe ❤🙏
We got about 3 inches here in Chuckey yesterday and today. It finally quit. The duck and chicken pens are flooded. The garden didn't have any runoff but if I step in it I'll sink. That stuff coming up is some kind of grass. A stirrup hoe gets rid of it easily as long as you get to it now.
I’m glad you are safe and with minimal damage to your lovely gardens. It’ll take a few days, but your gardens will dry out enough for you to work them. Your cover crop looks like it did its job. When the tree crews show up, you might be able to score a load of free wood wood chips😁
I am so sorry Kate. All that hard work. But glad you and the cats are OK. I spent half the night in a closet due to 3 tornado warnings in a row. I got to bed a 3:oo AM only to have more storms at 5:30 AM again. My rain gage had 6 inches in it this morning. Nothing we can do but start again. The stuff in my raised beds faired better than ground plants. I lost a lot next years Blackberry canes. But in the end we will be ok. God bless.
OMG - So glad the storm did not take down anymore trees than just the three. Very sad about the garden washout but you have prepared somewhat for that happening. Might take some time to find someone to help take care of the downed trees but doesn't look like they are blocking anything critical. Going to be a while before things dry out to start again. Take care and try not to worry about it all..
Water will go where water wants to go! Your structures seem intact. But I am so sorry you will have to re-do. Take care and be good to yourself.
You can look up your town and/or county GIS map online, and it should have all the water courses marked, you will see where the water is flowing on, through, and off your property. (At least my town's GIS map shows them, even the smallest seasonal streams are marked.) Good luck! 🥰🥰🥰
Life can get pretty dicey where you are. I would rate tornadoes right along side of earthquakes when it comes to being dangerous. Hang in there Kaye. I will give you my blessings if that helps. 3.5 inches of rain........that is enough water to top off a swimming pool.
Thank you Lord that He protected you during the storms. Trees and plants can be replaced, lives cannot. Glad you’re safe. ❤
That swampy, walking, sound oh so familiar! Your place looks and sounds like mine ..tremendous amount of rainfall in a short period ..fortunate, though it could have been worse..! 💚
Kaye enjoyed the tour. Thanking God that He protected you and all your buildings and your home. I look forward to your plants when the sun comes up and they rise rejoicing. God Bless and Keep you friend
I am happy that you were blessed with safety and shelter. The rest will come. ❤
Your ok and the house 🏡 is still standing. That's Important 💕
So glad you made it through the storm without major damage. God Bless!
Dear Kaye, by God's grace, you and your home survived! Please take care on those wet leaves, they're slippery! Peace and Blessings 🌻
So blessed, God is good!
Kaye, you made it safely. Thanks for keeping us updated through the storm -- thumbs up!
Scary storm… so happy your safe 🙏🏼🌸🙏🏼
Sorry about the damage and that you are dealing with this by yourself... Beautiful bird song to work by though. Lichens are usually on the north facing side of trees, rocks etc that don't get a lot of sunlight and have dampness and darkness in the area... like in woods and deep woods. Much love. Glad you are safe! 🥰🥰🥰
So happy you are ok !! Beautiful horse are they the neighbors?? Don't think they are yours !! you are so blessed to be ok !!
The county road crew will take care of the big fallen limb, as it is totally on the area they keep mowed.
Sorry to see your place with the downed trees etc. Bless your heart and spirit. You’re a strong woman. Please be careful, Kaye. I hope you get help soon from your helpers.
God's protection is with you!🙏❤️
Thank the Lord you are safe!!!❤😊❤
So glad you're safe 🤗
Hello, bless you kaye, such a lot happening. Im so sorry about all the trees,im just so happy and grateful you are okay, such z huge blessing. Thankyou for showing all this today and still you are able to bring smiles 😃 xx,love, hugs and prayers 🙏, from me and my garden girls 🐔. Ukxx
When I first read your headline I thought it rather poetically said, "Tour of Poverty After the Storm". Perhaps you can rake up some of that good soil and put it back in the garden. All those twigs and sticks fallen will be great for a barbeque. I can smell the BBQ chicken now!
Might a call to your local “public works” department be the first call to determine if you have to clear that tree branch from your property just off the road? .. and pay for it? Maybe sweet talk the guy who comes out to assess things? Might prove advantageous, no? So glad to see you “weathered” the storm! ✌🏻
Nope too many trees down. After all they did cut it and get it out of the road. That was before 6 AM. But no I had my guy do it he was he did it in an hour didn’t cost that much
We’re those oyster mushrooms on that down tree branch ? Living on a hill can be tough when the rain is heavy. So much erosion . KEEPS YOU BUSY ! 💕🐝🪴
The lichen is common in Tennessee at least where I live. I have even dried the bigger pieces to use in craft projects.
That tree looks like it was hit by lightning, the way it's splintered.
It’s common for trees to splinter during tornadoes and high winds, which is what caused that tree to fall
Thank God you’re ok! I saw others I follow going thru th3 same. But everyone is ok. Just a thought Kaye. Check out those veggie garden raised beds
Kaye you need to get a (I think they call it a Bimi) for when you are walking it isn't making people dizzy. This gadget keeps the camera even and it is as if you are not walking. Real smooth footage. (not meant to be mean.) Love ya Loved the sounds of the birds. Tree's are dying everywhere. I lost them in N. Ga mountains...leaves on tree's actually had holes burned in them. (live tree's) Now in Wi on my property same thing. Healthy tree's dying for no reason. Well, I think we all know the reason.
It's a gimble. But anyway, I need a lot of stuff, you know?
Yes, we know the reason.
@@Latebloomershow Lol, yes that is it a gimble. I need lots of stuff too. lol but I can't afford it either. I need a storm shelter myself. I need a different car etc etc.
💓😱💓🙏💓FROM THE OHIO VALLEY...ALONG THE OHIO RIVER 💓
I'm glad I just found your channel.
Praise Abba Father you faired well thru the storm!
Looking forward to watching more...
Love the tree canopy over the road.
If I may ask, what area in TN are you?
We have friends in Summertown and Primm Springs. Would love to move there from FL, but prefer the east side of TN for the mountain views myself.
Blessings!
Hope all is ok....
Yes just been nursing my knee after four days on my knees planting and resetting what was uprooted.
Take care of yourself as much as you can. Gardening is hard and rewarding......hope you didn't lose much. I look forward to seeing your sweet face again soon! 😻
Good for firewood? Hopefully
Looks like it's almost time for a new roof?
That's not grass coming up. Grass is a monocot and you showed dicots coming up. My 1st guess since I didn't geta good look and based on colr I would say it's pigweed.
Ithink you’ve bit off more than you can chew. It’s to much for you even though you have help. I hate to see you working yourself to the bone. You don’t seem like it’s not a joy any more. Do what you did in California go small. And you will enjoy your yard. Just my opinion. Love 💕
