I had a heart attack 3 weeks ago. My whole life I never really considered a heart healthy diet because I was mostly fit and active. In my late 40's I realized I was 30 lbs over weight. I went on the Paleo diet and lost it all. Then I started eating crap again and gained it all back. Did the paleo diet again and lost 30lbs (180 down to 150lbs) and felt great. Then over 3 years, gained it all again. Back on the paleo diet starting on December 3, this time vowing to never go off of it again. On January 19, while riding my bike, I experienced sudden "indigestion". I never stopped riding. Didn't go to the ER until January 21. My Troponin was 2000. Got a shiny stent in my LAD. Because I had already started my paleo diet 7 weeks earlier, I was in the hospital with a total cholesterol of 136, weighing 160 lbs (I'm 5'9") with a BMI of 23. Two years ago however during one of my "fat periods" my cholesterol was 270. This entire event is sad to me because clearly I could have kept my self healthy but didn't because I was using food and drink as entertainment. Right now I weigh 154 lbs. I swear I will never put that weight back on. While the Paleo diet did work for me and actually did improve my lipid profile, because I now have a stent, I am going to do a combination Paleo-Mediterranean diet just to be a little safer. No pork or beef, more fish. I will eat whole grains but not too much bread. I can't stress strongly enough, get your weight down and keep it there, get your lipid panel checked and do something about it.

Whom does he remind you of ? "MAN, YOU CAN NOT BE SERIOUS !' as he flailed his tennis bat. lol John Mc Enroe ? I hope doc when you are inserting my stent/s and some complication arises - you don't scream, 'Mennnn, you ken nat be seriiuss !' lol ONLY KIDDING. I do believe I need one of those. Seriously. Being investigated. But at present in UK - the NHS whom I worked for in past - has gone to hell in a handbasket. I've resigned myself to karking it - hopefully quickly. I don't want left with a CVA (Stroke).

It's perfectly normal. I had a heart attack on july 15 2018, I got a stent and I feel better than before that lifechanging incident. Quit smoking(if you were),improve your diet and exercise for at least 30 min. a day. Yesterday I went to see my doc for a full exam, and the verdict was PERFECT. So,yes ,it's all up to you. Good luck!

I can't watch these stent videos. Two years ago at age 62 I was shocked to have had a heart attack and made it to the horse pistol where they put in 2 stents. 5 minutes later I was ready to jump up and tackle the world. But nooooo...... I'm a"heart attack victim" now. I could have another one any day. Totally stinks. I can't watch this stuff. If I stand on one foot and touch my nose from behind my back while juggling 3 watermelons while riding a unicycle on a tightrope, I MIGHT not have another one. In fact this kind of stuff is enough to worry me into having another one. No thanks.

Apparently doctors deliberately don't tell us that the efficacy rate for all the drugs afterwards is only oing to reduce our risk of another attack by like 3 to 5%. So, we risk DEATH and other, less severe outcomes from these drugs.. all to reduce the risk by a tiny bit. Total bullshit, and total bullshit that they don't tell us. It's all a scam to put money into big pharma.

0:47 - This is "atherosclerosis"? NO!!! This is Cholesteric cylindrical plaque!!!
1:02-The stent can not expand the atherosclerotic plaque!!! The stent is able to stretch a soft cylindrical cholesteric plaque !!!
