    Nice video! Here a Spanish writing from Turku! I have the same bike since April ´23 and I´m very happy with it. Last year I went to Tuusula MTB, Cycli MTB in Seinäjoki and Finlandia MTB in Lähti and I have upgraded the fork for next season to a Fox 34 120mm, I´m 80kg rider and I didn´t feel comfortable with 32mm bars and only 100mm travel, so let´s see next season, but I think Im gonna enjoy more with 120mm. Regarding the dropper post, very nice hack mate! I couldn´t do it by myself and I brought it to Canyon (we have a service point here in Turku), they had to remove the BB to install the cable. Cheers!

      Thank you for the feedback! Seems that we have participated just the different races last season :) I was in Aulanko MTB Hämeenlinna, Laajavuori MTB Jyväskylä, Tahko MTB Nilsiä, Häähni MTB Hankasalmi, MTB Retki Multia and Halloween Hike Keuruu. I was thinking the Cycli MTB, but there was too much other activities, so I didn't manage to go there. Currently I think, I am going in the next season to the same events than last year, at least Aulanko, Laajavuori, Tahko and Halloween Hike. I have footage of Häähni MTB and I am planning to publish a video of that before the next season's event.
      I am just 70 kg and I was even a bit surprised how well the Halloween Hike event in the end of October went with that bike after the former Trek Fuel Ex. I am currently editing a video of that event, but I did shot the event with 4 cameras and there is about 23 hours of material, so I takes a lot of time to choose the best shots for the final version...
      Interesting to know that they removed the bottom bracket to get the dropper post cable routed in official service :)

    I have this model for 2 years now. Bearings in rear wheel were gone after about 5 months of summer riding. Headset bearings were not lubed from factory at all. Unfortunatelly if the bike get wet by rain or by washing, you need to dry a space between frame and headset. If you not do it the moisture stuck there And headset bearings could ne damaged realy quickly. Internal cable routing through headtube means that home change/lube of this bearing is more difficult (at least for me). Despite all of cons i have had with this bike i love it but if I have to go with it back to bike shop again I only like it😅

      Hello. Thank you for sharing your experiences. That was good information and I need to pay attention especially on hub bearings. I have ridden on that bike just about 300 km, because in winter time I have ridden on a fatbike. Now I am riding on my gravel, until the rest of the snow melts from the trails in the woods.
      IMO if the bearings were good quality, they should be sealed and they should be able to handle significant amount of moisture. The headset of my fatbike was in perfect condition, even after this video: ruclips.net/video/nUdDeobvG8M/видео.html So I have to say, there seems to be differences in bearing quality. Luckily the bearings are quite cheap to buy and at least I am able to replace them by myself.

    Weight and size ?

    • @activelifeinfinland
      @activelifeinfinland  5 месяцев назад

      The size is S. The original setup without pedals was 11,55 kg (see the chapter starting at 6:03). After seat post replacement and pedal installation the weight was 12,44 kg and after doing the tubeless setup with Vittoria Inserts and replacing the carbon handlebar, the final weight is 12,3 kg.

    Hi Mate, thanks for the Video. I tried to install my dropper Post on my lux.
    Now I kind of dont understand how you managed to reinstall the cap of the headset. It seemed to be just one little click.
    I'm afraid, I destroyed ist while lifting it a little to feed the cable through it...
    Do you have a suggestion to get ist back flush on ?

    • @activelifeinfinland
      @activelifeinfinland  7 месяцев назад

      I guess you mean the part where the cables goes through. Yeah, mine was easy to install back. If your's is not fitting easily, my guess is that some of the cables is not on its right place. You need also to ensure that the cables don't go straight from up to down, but more horizontal. I would also check that there are not any extra objects like cable cover cap or something like that under the headset cap.

      Yes I will. But I need to wait 1-2 months, because we have snow about that long. In the winter time I ride on a fatbike with studded tires :)

    Nice bike and they seem to have done a good job with the integrated headset cabling to prevent water and dust getting into the bearings. I was going to suggest fitting a Rockshox Ultimate Twistlock remote if you found a restriction with the dropper lever. I have done just that on my Scott Spark RC so needed the 3P version and also used the excellent Shimano dropper lever which has a return spring. I find the ergonomics of the Twistlock much better and the pull will be the same for the Fox fork.

    • @activelifeinfinland
      @activelifeinfinland  8 месяцев назад

      I ended to shimanon’s dropper post lever and the ergonomics is now enough good for me. But there seems to be a problem that the dropper post gets stuck if I push the lever full front. I need to find out if I can somehow limit the movement of the lever. I would like to get the dropper released with as small lever movement as possible.

    • @johnlesoudeur3653

      Strange, the Shimano levers only have a pull of 7mm for the SL-MT800-IL and 9mm for the cheaper version. I have a Fox Transfer Elite SL and there is only just enough pull to operate it properly. Hope you find a solution to the sticking problem.@@activelifeinfinland

      Thank you! I have ridden on this now about 300 km including one 50 km event. It has been worked very well. Currently we have real winter conditions and I am ridin on a Fatbike. But when the snow melts, then I start riding again on this Canyon. I have planned to participate at least 5-6 races on it on the next season.
