I have enjoyed going to the library since I was about five years old. My mother took my brothers and sisters to the local library each week and that has carried on for me these past 60 years. My local library here actually delivers books you pick on their web page. You can also suggest a title for them to order and send to you once it arrives. They have approved about 90 percent of the books I have requested. I think they are fair too and have a wide range of books for just about everyone. It's sad to see libraries go political but such are the times.

Uuuuu they found a mirror and came to the 'rainbow' conclusion. I can only lift an eyebrown at that, because yes men AND females used it back in the day to pamper themselfs up (as another commenter said peacock attitude) i can only guess that, that mirror was there to help sailors freshen up (like shaving, present themself neatly, maybe style their haircut like clip it or style it so its not in the way of work) like used it like a normal mirror were used for. Plus to my understanding back in the day like henrys time and forward the 'queens' / rainbow talk happent behind closed doors and were not spoken about openly like we can today, kind of like a hush hush topic. So yeah i have a ? mark for that kind of speculation.

The answer is surely, yes there may well have been, but we will never know.
A mirror does not signify queer, long hair does not signify queer, indeed throughout history men have grown long hair and tied it back.
It is wrong that historical facts get rewritten into fiction as the facts don't back up the ideology of the few today.
I don't think there is one part of history that we can now go to a museum and 100% trust what we read and hear them talk about.
Museums are no longer the true educational establishments they once were.
