Yes!! I didn't know until looking into the Barbie and the Nutcracker what a big deal all the graphics were for the time! And oh that's such a great recommendation - I actually never got to see Leap so I'll have to add it to my movies to watch list. Thanks for watching!! 🩰✨️
I still watch this movie even 20 years later! Despite the animation being so outdated, it's charming. To this day, I still watch it along with the other Barbie movies, too (Rapunzel, The Princess and the Pauper, etc.)! You are also right about the movie being an introduction to the ballet itself and to classic music, which I have listened to ever since. ❤ One fact that I just learned recently is that this is actually the second ballet animation that was made in a computer, and the first one bring 3D-animated with human-like features (the first are just one line figures, made in the 70s).
@theabsolutenobodyguy5702 Wow! Thanks so much for sharing that cool fact, love to hear it! And it's also awesome to hear how these movies introduced you to ballet/classical musicia as well. The movies are so nostalgic, I'm thinking of doing a marathon of them over holiday break haha! Thanks for tuning in!
I remember this! But wow, the advance CG work and details.👏 Another ballet animation movie I really liked is “Leap!”

I love all the Barbie series. I religiously binge watched them growing up. 🥰 ❤
Omg yes!! They're all so good haha! I need to do a marathon again honestly, maybe over Christmas break 😂 Thanks for tuning in!! ❤

Ooooh I never heard of this movie but I love when movies go the extra mile with mocap for those less robotic animations!
For sure! When I saw the tech they used for this film, I was so impressed!
