at this point in the show it didn't really matter. if they could have a tie #1, they both deserved it. such talent in each of these two young women. there are times when i couldn't tell which one is "better" than the other. love them both.
Both did really well and deserved to win. I can't say one does more because they are both amazing. Yes lee hi is more popular but thinks down to yg promoting her better than jyp does to jimin. Looking at them vocally I can honestly say I cannot chose one who is better even if it was by a small percentage

it was actually a surprise that jimin won. if you've been checking, hai had been winning all the phone votes and had come first for every single live shows until now. even when her scores from the judges were far from being the best, she always came first because of the phone votes. i think what made the difference this time was that it was the final show, so many people who didn't tune in before tuned in and voted - and among the new people who voted, more voted for jimin than for hayi.
i don't think the tears were because she did not accept the result. it's the final letting go of the emotion that had built up over the past several months. can you imagine what kind of pressure these young girls must have been under? i think that's why when they approached the final stage, they were holding hands so tightly, because at that moment, only they could understand each other - nobody else could... when hayi hugs jimin to congratulate her, u can see that she does it from her heart...
I think jimin deserve to win she moved hearts with her last performance and lee hi did good job but I prefer jimin last performance more and jimin could have chosen YG but she didn't my personal opinion I think it was mistake and another mistake was for JYP to delay her debut and then debut her in deut it killed some of the popularity she have , but I respect that JYP is making her live her age and not force her to be product for selling and making her enjoy her carrier she is still only 15

Giving one my last comments about season 1, let's all remember, The song "Mercy" dominated the first battle audition, and it won the overall competition. Im gonna miss Season 1, and am looking forward to buying it on dvd or blue-ray. Thank you KPOPSTAR for letting us experience an awesome, yet questionable, competition. Season 2 is coming in November, im ready for the next great fan war....

Lee hayi was the only reason why I watched Kpopstar. I fell in love with her eversince "Bust your Window' And I will forever be her fan. I hope YG cast her. She always does an amazing job when casted under YG. I'm sure she herself loves YG too. I mean there's T.O.P there so of course!^^
Jimin has the singer quality while Hayi has the star quality...which means Hayi will shine much longer than Jimin. I'm not saying this as a Hayi fan but forget the singing and just look at them when they stand side by side - who has more charisma and who's got the aura? For me Hayi has both. So, I strongly believe her music career will stretch farther than Jimin's.

I think that it's cute, that both Ji Min and Ha Yi won very nice cars from Hyundai (i40 and i30), but neither one of them is old enough to drive yet (South Korea). In the meantime, I suppose that their parents can "chauffeur" them, and help "scrub" in the tires!!! I've absolutely enjoyed every aspect of this opening season of "K-pop star". The level of direct interaction and instruction between the judges and contestants cannot even remotely be rivaled by any other talent show. EXCELLENT!!!
why do you feel sorry for lee hayi? i was so proud of the way she handled herself. both girls performed like a champion under unimaginable amount of pressure, though there can only be one winner. but this is just one contest. both girls' lives and careers are only just beginning. the most exciting part of their lives are yet to come for both girls. after many years when they've both had illustrious careers, who actually won this competition will only be a small footnote in kpop history. ^_^
Though Hayi's voice is very unique, there's still missing. I'm not saying Hayi's not good in fact she's exceptionally great. On the other hand Jimin's voice is a little common; Tone, diction, and high notes that she could hit. But that became her own style the cleanliness of her voice when she sings. Great job Park Jimin! I knew you'd win from the moment I heard your Rolling in the deep version. =)
Agreed. Hayi captivated me from the start to the end. This is just my opinion, but I feel that it would have been better if she won because she would bring something new to the kpop industry. Ji Min, on the other hand, is not too bad, however, I feel that she will blend into the kpop industry too easily

Lee Hayi deserved to win, but sometimes votes go one way, and the show's producers go the other. it's one thing to say "to me Park Ji Min deserves to be the winner" and expressing love is one thing, but to talk as if the one who should've won as "so and so", actualliy reflects badly on your bias :-(....... :-)

it's easily explained. hayi has "fans" short for " fanatics" who listen to her all the time.
jimin won by public vote, because for the final show, more people tuned in and more *regular* people actually voted - and not just "fans" of a particular singer :)

hm... i don't think it's very sportsman like of the fans to claim that so and so is the TRUE winner... they both conducted themselves with dignty, friendship and integrity. they both deserve to win, but sometimes votes go one way, and not the other.
its one thing to say "to me lee hayi will always be a winner" and expressing love is one thing, but to talk as if the one who won is not the *true* winner actually reflects badly on your bias :-(
