Serious question though. Was the train already malfunctioning due to natural cause or did someone intentionally damage the brakes of the train because they knew the player was going to use it. It seems someone surprised poppy right before the voice transmission cut off, and then the train went off rails. Looks like somebody carefully planned this incident and I'd love to know who did it. It certainly wasn't Poppy, because she wanted us to safely reach another part of the factory.

No the creators just didn't want to extend the tunnel on the correct railway to the exit because it wasn't going to be utilized and seen by the players anyway. They just wanted to save time creating the map.
actually if your train goes to the left you will come out of the toy industry, but in the gameplay, poppy changes the route of the train line so that the train that we drive does not leave the industry but goes deeper
I don't know if anyone else has thought about this, but when poppy was suddenly taken away by mommy long legs, after when you next meet poppy, its as if she has changed from what she was like before as her tone of voice gives it away, however that could just be her anger from what mommy long legs did to her, but the final part of the chapter when poppy decides to keep you in the factory, it seems as if she's like a whole different person or maybe poppy has two sides to her that we don't know about or one other way to look at it, is that it could just be her true colours- Who knows? 🤷🏽♂️

Main reason I clicked on this was because I was curious about the playcare sign. I was thinking in the game, if the train fell over, how come the sign is facing the window the correct way? It shouldn't be able to be seen if the train fell over. Guess they got stuck for an idea of alluding to what chapter 3 will be about so they just stuck a floating none making sense sign saying exactly where it will take place. Lol. The problem with this is, either chapter 3 will have us climb out of the train and that sign is just... missing. Or, the train will be positioned facing up again despite us all seeing it fall over in chapter 2. Finally, they might just make us skip ahead and confuse us as to what happened with the train crash scene here.
I think another out of bounds video went forward to a door, so at least the skipping ahead part could include looking back at the train as you enter the Playcare.
So someone was putting that playcare sign for real at the sealing? Too well planned incident. If I was the character, I would just walk back to the other rail which goes to the exit

Her voice transmission was interrupted by something or someone. She also changed plans to achieve some other goal in the factory. Essentially, you could say she betrayed us at the last minute, but i think she wants to keep us alive and protect us until she achieves something.
Bruh, it's very simple theory. Remember, poppy said "I can't let you LEAVE". It means the way to leave from the toy factory is from the left side. That's why she turned the lever of rail to the right side. On the right side, there is the way to playcare where the Catnap lives. I hope this helps😊.
