Having to ride the very same line now must probably awake some traumatising thoughts, I know I had those when returning to places I used to despise. Part of me thinks that Nina also wanted to just escape Kumamoto in general because of it all, something that has a new scenery that doesn't remind her of the past. It's good her father is finally acknowledging the problems at school, but to her it's probably too late at this point. "Why do you suddenly care?" It's very sweet to see Subaru and Tomo worry about her though ❤
Possibly an unpopular opinion but I actually LOVE Nina's dad as a character. He's clearly not happy with how she acts and how her life turned out and he's also very emotionally distant which makes patching things up with her extremely challenging..... BUT! At least he's trying! He's very reluctantly meeting her halfway, but meeting her halfway and helping her all the same
