Phil is an absolute legend for his work involving Hillsborough.
I’m a United fan and I watched us play Sheffield Wednesday at hillsborough a couple of months before the disaster. I knew the state of the ground, especially the leppings lane end. You could see where problems could arise. So when the original verdict of accidental deaths was given at the first inquests I knew that was part of the cover up. The cover up started within 15 minutes of the disaster. It carried on for 27 years. And duckenfield still escaped justice.

Phil Scraton's book on the issue is the best book I have ever read in my life.
Without Phil his team plus the families hard fought work over the 30 years to get the verdicts turned is testament to the wonderful people they are,The establishment will never reveal to real truth to the wider world that's why on April 15th every year nobody should forget Hillsborough & remember those innocent fans went to watch our beloved LFC & never came home. I read Hillsborough The Truth when it first came out. Absolutely brilliant book. Same with the guy who wrote it. He’s a big reason why the myths of Hillsborough were dispelled.
If the recommendations of Bolton Wanderers Burden Park Disaster had been implemented, Hillsborough would never had happened. Great man and a great speaker Phil.
