Love your vlogs thanks for it have lived in Thailand rural for many years and found Lao even more exiting but due to family i Thailand I'm very happy to be there but certainly Lao would easily be my next choice and since spoken language is very, very similar to Thai I can follow a lot what's been spoken with the help of my Thai love, keep making these vlog so nice to see.
Tonight's take away from the local Thai restaurant in Tier 4, UK - "khoi yak kin pu boh tai der". It's good to practice wow Thai Issan! Thanks for the Vid!

Your a brave man Todd. I ate the snails and deep fried chicken's feet only and avoided the other critters. Beware the Lao Lao - it can be like rocket fuel!
Totally agree with you on when visiting family, there are always lots of food and drinks. Our Hmong people are exactly the same! Heck we even pack even pack food for everyone when they leave our homes too. A fresh boiled chicken, rice and pepper. Hmmm!
Hello Todd, I enjoy your videos very much, thank you. I applaud you for trying different foods, that probably impressed the heck out of the locals as well. I’m pretty sure that Neenee is a good cook, after all, she runs a big restaurant. What are the of Farang’s dishes does she fix for you at home? Take care, and Happy holidays.
Hi Todd And Neenee I'm enjoying your videos , especially this food one ! I had planned on trying to get to Laos after Thailand , but had to cancel because of Uncle COVID. Will try again soon. Been to Australia twice , loved it. Is Patreon the only way of $ support since I really don't want monthly payments to keep track of ? Also , I know you are not a match maker and chances are slim that I would make it there soon , but maybe Neenee can pass on a message to the woman in the video wearing beige blouse with black spots that someone in USA thinks she is beautiful. I enjoy any of your videos with food , markets or the buildings especially the house you two were working on. Thanks Mate Frank H

Typically Lao. When family and friends get together, heaps of food and drink. Then everyone goes off to take a nap and then it starts all over again. Crickets were often on the menu when we lived in Laos, when we went out with our Lao friends. Crickets (Jii nyai) sautéed in kaffir lime leaves, garlic and chilli. Fantastic with a cold beer. Better than chips. Todd,, have you read 'Ant Egg Soup' by Natacha Du Pont De Bie? It's a travel log through Laos based on Laos' regional food. It's a really good read, heaps of fun stuff with good insight into Lao culture and food.
