Not sure if you have checked out aespa SMCU ep 1 & 2 but it basically explains the storyline. They are extremely well done and quite cinematic! Also I feel like I really appreciate what SM is doing with the whole Kwangya concept and the risk they are taking with it, as I feel like literally every damn kpop song is about love or having a crush. I understand for many the storyline is a lot to take in and you can definitely lose some people there lol, but for me it makes me extra curious as to where the story is going and how their music with develop along with it. SM really went balls to the wall with the concept/story so you can tell they really believe in the vision they have for Aespa. But I do also like that they have releases that aren't solely about their universe! They can do it all!

Thus a very sad fact we won't see an MV for it unless someone Kickstarted a couple million bitcoins to funnel towards the label's creative directors just to make time for countless hours of CGI editing...... Girls was definitely an instant love for me. Black Mamba was a like, and Next Level and Savage were growers for me. I'm so happy to finally get a title track that I got hooked on immediately.
Dreams Come True is a remake of S.E.S so the bridge is a callback. They did sing Life’s too Short last. However, everyone wanted them to do Dreams Come True but they didn’t change the set list. They said Illusion was way better song than Girls during the tour. Girls was regretted NCT song but since it’s SMUniverse and they are a connected group it makes sense to use the song for aespa. Also it reminds me of Kick it which is the consensus.
I still prefer the original Dreams Come True, it is iconic, like it reminds me of a Barbie magical movie or something like that hahaha. Aespa's wasn't my jam until a couple of weeks ago tbh and now I like it more

Yay! I'm so happy you posted a new video! As soon as I saw Aespa had a comeback, I thought about your reaction! I enjoyed the mini album and liked this comeback, but I did find it underwhelming. I felt like it wasn't as catchy or memorable compared to their other releases. I think so far my two favorites from Aespa have been Black Mamba and Next Level. I also did enjoy their cover of Dreams Come True and I liked the ethereal vibe it had!
I've missed your video style! you do a lot of editing and audio gags/memes that I really enjoy but it's not overdone. some people do it over the top and it makes it feel ungrounded and all over the place, but you get the right balance! thank you for posting again!
I like Aespa, but their songs confuse me in the same way you explained. I like (most) of their songs but their lyrics don't make any sense because of the story. I like songs with meaning. Still, Aespa are stunning and very talented. Will continue to follow their career but I kind of want the story telling to stop lol
