Had to capture one last wrap with this little boy before we head in to have my water broken. He said he wanted to give me a kiss and instead I got a few licks 🤣🤣 For those who don't know, we are heading in this evening to have my water broken due to a couple factors. Not going to lie, the 12 days straight of really intense prodromal labor is one of those! On top of having had contractions for so much of the pregnancy, it's been really hard to stay positive these last two weeks! It's just exhausting! There has also been a significant decline in movement which has been a bit concerning. During contractions I'm getting absolutely no movement, sometimes going on for 12 plus hours. Both my midwife and I would like to know that she's doing okay in there, but I haven't been able to get in for a stress test when I'm having the most intense contractions. Luckily during other non stress tests she has had great heartbeat, etc, but it has been a bit disconcerting to go from such consistent and intense movement to very long periods of time without any at all! I'm also still measuring significantly behind, which concerns the midwife even though I've always measured behind. Part of me thinks this is going to be the biggest baby I've had, so I'm so very curious to see what ends up being the case! I'm really hoping for an easy and short labor after all that has gone on in the last few weeks. At each appointment I have been further dilated and all of the other signs that labor is imminent have been there as well, so I'm hopeful things will go really smoothly. This is exactly what happened to me with my pregnancy last month! Baby boy gave me prodromal labor almost every night for 5 weeks until I was induced. He came out in just 5 hours from the start of pitocin. It was quick and easy, as I hope your labor will be!
