Music and creating are so symbiotic in my practice - it has opened up many genres of music for me. Thanks for sharing your process and inspiring videos.
Wonderful grouping of your favorite approaches. You were in an amazing location. Thank you for sharing! Is it ok if l paint some of the landscape you were in? It’s a perfect day for me to settle in and paint.
thanks Heidi! And for sure, it's one of my favourite spots 😊 Please do, I'd love that! I've also just shared some images on Patreon that we'll be using in the meet-ups this month, incase they are helpful ahead of time 💫
Her accent suggests Orla is Scottish. And Scottish is *also* British, as the country of Scotland is part of an Island called Great Britain - which is also the largest island in Europe... You may be confusing sounding 'British' with sounding 'English'... 😉 (from a know-it-all English person).
I know many artists listen to music while they work, but I need silence. I have a very hard time listening to you because the music bed disturbs my focus. My mind can not do two things at once. Do you ever post videos without?
ah I am sorry to hear that; currently, no, but I do write quite a bit on my substack blog and patreon blog too. Thanks for letting me know, I'll keep that in mind for future videos ☀️
@@OrlaStevensMaybe a compromise might be using interludes of music in the bits when you’re not speaking? The music is so lovely, but this way it wouldn’t distract from your words x

You sound more Scottish than British, says this know-it-all New Yorker 🇺🇸😬

Scottish accent yes! 🏴 Although it is a fairly gentle one as I have grown up surrounded by accents from all over the UK :)

@@OrlaStevens thanks, I will check out your writing.
Yes, I feel without music would be better as it helps bring more focus on words and thoughts.
