    Answer to the drug dosage calculation:
    2% lidocaine means 20mg / ml
    Therefore a 2.2ml cartridge contains 44mg of lidocaine
    So max number of cartridges = 500 / 44 = 11.36
    Therefore max number of cartridges is 11
    Well done if you got it right this is actually one of the harder types of drug dosage calculations!

      @cerenkoc.c 3 года назад +3

      Why is it 20mg / ml? Shouldn't it be 10mg / ml since 2% of 500 is 10? Sorry I'm asking this so that I can learn and understand where I went wrong. Thank you!

    • @RohanYesudian

      @@cerenkoc.c no worries I also got this wrong first time! If you google "how to convert percentage in concentration", you get the formula % = parts per hundred or grams/100 ml. This should help you work it out :)

      Nadia you can only try your best at that point! Stay calm and try work it out from first principles and use common sense. If you are unsure where to start, just tell the interviewer and they might give you further guidance
      Hope this helps!
