Thank you so much! Didn’t major in anything in university. Our system is a little different here in Quebec. We have a two year pre-uni program after high school and then you can go straight into law school!

    • @aichatohry3348

I do! I just think you need to take the time to find a way to practice law that fits with how you want to live life. Also, people tend to decide to go into law based on certain expectations of how the profession is and those expectations don’t always turn out to match the truth.

Practicing would be fine I suppose without the clients, opposing counsel, and judges. I would never recommend the practice to anyone and would never support anyone choosing to go to law school. The 90s turned it corporate, and the boomers refused to provide mentorship. The rules don’t apply until they do, and post-2001/2002 recession flooded the market with lawyers. You don’t make never enough to compensate for the stress and monotony. Status is garbage. Frankly, I don’t find much positive with the practice. Being great at something terrible doesn’t go a long way to making the practice worth it. Avoid the law.

At least you care I have a first cousin who apparently will not return my phone call and he is the I'll just say these he's the assistant City attorney for a very large city and his mother was part of thievery and stealing money from my mom and it's in the will that she was supposed to get a certain amount and it is just totally ignored and she never got it and she was sweet enough not to push push push and end up doing a lot of good things with her life and sadly she recently died and I'm just horrified that people could steal and really change my mother's whole life and our family because of the thievery and at least you care unlike my first cousin at least you actually care enough to

I feel like it will help your motivation in the long run if you decide from early which area you’d want to practice in. But i know that is tough knowing which you’d want seeing you dont have any work experience as a secretary or paralegal I assume. My advice is go be a legal secretary or paralegal first for a year or more. See if you really like it, then take the step to law school. Cheers!
