It's crazy to me how different the pricing can be just like 20 minutes away from one store. The researcher in me honestly wants to know what pricing strategy makes them more money, keeping things affordable and moving in and out of the store quick, or pricing super high....
Yes I agree! They did just start a sale here until the end of the month, 50% off all shoes so I'm thinking they might have priced with the upcoming sale in mind.
Goodwill was designed to help low income people in the first place and if they will keep setting those prices they won't stay in business for a long time. Goodwill started raising prices once they noticed the trend for resellers. I'd honestly go to ross, tjmaxx, or marshalls and find a greater deal than at a goodwill (being that all clothes will be new there)

Are they women's or men's? I felt like I had a little better luck selling activewear sneakers on Mercari, and the dressier brands and styles on Poshmark, but that was in 2020 so I'm not sure if it's changed at all.
so as I was reading a couple mercari reviews, many people claim to have been scammed by both sellers and buyers. have you experienced this at all on mercari? im scared of selling my cloths and being scammed. 😣
Good question! I’ve done 200 sales so far on Mercari and have never encountered a scammer. I’ve also made about 3 purchases on the app and each has gone well (two were used electronics so I was super happy they worked and were in great shape.) **However** it should be said that the items I sell here are generally inexpensive and not necessarily a target for scammers. If you are selling high-end, luxury clothes over $100 you might need to be more careful and perhaps investigate all your options and other platforms.
