I lived in Tasmania and this made me homesick for Hobart. I used to spend quite a bit of time on the Tasman Penisula. It is strange that such a beautiful place has seen such ugly events. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It is one of my favourite places in the world.
So much stuff in this vlog!! I love reading those history signs too! My partner's family and I drove down to New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and PEI last July, and I kept holding up our touring process from taking the time and reading every information sign lol. Same as visiting Quebec in October, read all the information signs!! xx
Welcome to our little slice of heaven Tasmania. The place where you stopped off to each and place on the swings called Dunalley actually caught on fire in 2013 and wiped out most of the house, camping land and farm properties it was one of the worst fires that has happened here in Tas, it also happened just before christmas during school holidays and let a lot of people strander in the area. The only way in or out of there was by boat and at points even that was not safe. I am so glad you enjoyed looking around what we have to offer.
I am in love with your Tassie vlogs! I just moved to Townsville, QLD in February to study, and used to live in Hobart. I'm so happy you loved it as much as I did! I've loved seeing my home in these videos! Thank you for sharing! Xx
It's so awesome how you just drove around and saw so many cool and amazing things like lavender fields and kangaroos and historic sites. It's honestly so amazing. I wish there were things like that were I'm from
I went to Tasmania when I was about 8. I remember parts of the trip, but seeing port Aurtur in your video just bought back so many memories. Being only 8 but reading what happened to everyone was so gut wrenching Definitely want to go back
breaks my heart reading about how our people were treated & to this day were still treated badly. so many our native woman/girls gone missing. im an aboriginal/ native from waaaay up north & i love watching your videos & vlogs, sucha down girl 😍 cant wait til the next. 😘
Oh that bit at Port Arthur in that dark punishment room...I literally waited outside because I was terrified to go in...can see why!! Tassie is beautiful hey!!
Swings are awesome! That round one! (does dat also make me like 5 years old?... lol) You say how cruel people WERE, but I think nothing much has changed, unfortunately. It is only coated with a very, very thin layer of civilization...
oh my gosh.. !!!! its so freaken nice that you get the chance to be THAT close to those kangaroos !! AND that they enjoy getting scrached like this its so cutie !! :) What a nice trip :)
Haha that's so funny. Where are you from? :) I'm from aus qld and I literally have kangaroos in my yard all the time! Such a normal every day animal here.
Pretty sure you're my spirit animal 👌🏼😂❤️ "Karissa is 5 years old. Anytime we see swings we have to stop." Hahaha me too! Also "there's so much to read, I love it." I always have to stop and read the historical/cultural information signs too ☺️
You uploaded all your Tasmania vlogs while I was there, time to binge watch them haha. Tasmania is so amazingly beautiful. Can't wait to go back. I didn't see a Tassie Devil ! luckyyy you Would've loved to go to Port Arthur too
Ahhh such a happy positive flog, with a bit of history added in. I enjoyed that you shared the museums amd zoo. considering I am all the way in North East England and will never travel that far. I live by Alnwick castle. Harry potter was filmed there, you can feel the pain amd torture inflicted in that castle. the dungeons were awful and they had the sound effects and dummies added in. so you really felt you were looking down into a bed sitting in a cold dark wet dungeon waiting for his death. anyhow ha ha can't wait for your nect vlogs ...waiting patiently 😀😁😂😀😁😊😙😙💖💖
love you guys. .always looking forward to your vlogs since right now in my life i can't travel. .thank you so much for sharing your videos with us . at least I can see the world through your camera. ❤💖💚💛
Your vlogs has quickly become one of my favorites! You guys are such an awesome amazing couple :) Two kids trying to adult and going on adventures love it ♥
Seeing the kangaroos made me so emotional. They are so beautiful! I can't wait to hopefully cuddle some one day😍😍 also tasmania is such a wonderful place!! It looks amazing❤️
AARGH! Can't believe you were in Tasmania and I didn't know! Hobart is my home. We have a shack at port Arthur. So glad you got to experience this beautiful state.. Loved every second of this vlog :) xx
Seriously so cute that you love playgrounds still, I adore that you are such a fun-loving free spirit! You just seem to radiate the coolest energy, hope you do a meetup in Kelowna or Vancouver eventually now that you're back in Canada so I could meet you guys! :)
Besides my obsession with kangaroos (thank you for indulging that one today !) I also have a crazy obsession with "ruin" type buildings, like I seen in the Port Arthur portion of this video. To walk through the actual space, the actual bricked rooms of something so old, no matter what it is, just thrills me beyond delight. A lot of the historical buildings in southern Ontario are great to tour through, but many have been updated and fixed up to a point so it's "safe" for the tourists. You kinda miss out on the whole authentic feeling
How am I just now finding out about this seconds channel of yours?!?!! I wish there was a love button!! The more I watch your videos, the more I love you! Is it weird to say that? So glad you got to go on some adventures before you left for Canada. I can't wait to start seeing the adventures you get into there!
I'm from tassie! It was so cool to see it through fresh eyes with you guys, it really is beautiful and sometimes I forget that because its home. I'm from launceston but love travelling around the state, port Arthur is pretty incredible X love your vlogs ❤️
I wish you were my teacher in highschool, when you speak about information I actually listen and it's so informative!! And I love your passion too!! Defs love this vlog. Maybe when you get to Canada you should give us some information and take us on tour!! Xx would love to hear all the cool things over in Canada x love from New Zealand x
Ugh when I went to Port Arthur, I couldn't stay in that solitary confinement cell. Such intense energies in there, it was overwhelming! Soo cool to learn about all the history though. I think I remember reading about one kid who was sent there because he stole a handkerchief, it's nuts
Wow, those are seriously tame kangaroos. I'm going to have to check out that un-zoo next time I'm down south.I'm actually descended from a first-fleet convict who was transported for stealing a silk handerkief. After serving his time at Norfolk Island, he became a police constable in Tasmania.
Aww Karissa you should of stayed for the port author ghost tour I've been on it twice and it's just amazing!! So creepy being there of a night especially the old surgery room
I am so stoked you came to Tassie! This video came up in my 'you should watch' section. I'd heard of you from collabs but never subscribed. I just proudly subbed, and will be sharing your video. I live in the town you visited and am so stoked that you got to see the beauty of the place. Sending you all my love 😙😙😙

you looked like you had such a good time !! i absolutely love the fact you acknowledge that the infrastructure were built at the aboriginals expensense because not many people realise how detrimental it was to their lifestyle. enjoyed all aspect of your vlog, especially you kindness and loving energy
Great vlog!!!! I went to Tasmania last Christmas, it was literally worst time to go because everywhere was closed, we literally drove around for hours and never got to do anything so we stayed in our hotels for most of the time haha

Ahhh such a happy positive vlog with abit if history and zoo added in. I loved it as I won't ever get to visit such a beautiful place, considering I live in North East England. I live by Alnwick castle. Harry potter was filmed there. you can actually feel the pain and misery within the walls of the castle. the evilness and torture...just awful. they have the sound effects amd the dummies amd also people dress up too. you of course can buy a Harry potter broom stick too and take flying lessons 😀😁😂😆 waiting patiently for another fab vlog 😆😀😁😙💖💖💖
SO happy to see that a new video is up!! :D Found your channels about a month ago and I have been binge watching all your videos ever since haha! Love you Karissa, you're the best!
Oh my god can't believe you're in Tassie! If you guys are staying any longer you should check out MONA you guys would love it! they also have events on and little markets through out the week so you should check those out!! Ahhhhh can't believe you are in Hobart of all place hahahah

Oooh, that lavender must have smelled divine!
