You could have traded the roach for a newer one. This way, the old roach spreads stories of the big hairy monster, and they can all enjoy good campfire stories. The little roaches love that.

Yep, so good too the mother & father team of all these babies! Also love how they don’t advertise for sponsors, like tarantula collective/tarantula Kat. Also he just has spiders! More scientific then fancy. And basic low fee housing. No fancy cribs for spiders.
Love how much Dave appreciates the ugly ones like the jap funnel webs!!!❤

Hopefully, you were able to find our adventurous fellow without any issues. I'm so sad to see we've lost so many. No wonder their abdomens are so fat, lol 😅 I wonder if that's how it happens in the wild as well. Only the strongest survive before leaving home. Hopefully, mom wasn't picking them off, too 😬

Thanks for the slings tutorial! Good to reassure new breeders that animals producing scads of offspring usually do that because only a very small percentage survive to adulthood, so it's not their fault if they lose slings. Your advice - be kind, be gentle, and love your spider - still gets the best results and always will. Also good to see the E. mrinus slings' survival tactics (jumping, speed, seeking shelter) so you're prepared for that when you rehouse them.

I had it's enclosure next to one of my rose hair tarantulas and noticed the drumming between the two but didn't know they were sending signals to each other at that time. I wish I could get another one. They are such a beautiful tarantula.
