I had the same talk with myself a year ago. Just got sick and tired of being sick and tired with two boys.. felt like my unhealed wounds created a raging mom. It took a breakdown... an eval... and a good therapist with a morning rx dose to help me see what's in and what's out... told the family there'll be some changes yall come curiously or you may be dragged through the process.. no takeout unless we are celebrating.. more exercise.. more mindfulness... no spanking..no consequences for telling the truth.. less vitural leveling up more real world skill building ..❤❤❤way to go .. one day we'll all get there even years later
your marital dynamic is a lot like mine.. my husband was navy ..normal upbringing, and although there were drugs, it was nothing compared to mine ... my husband is the one who picks up what I struggle with.. he said whatever it takes to get you better .. do the things they tell you to.. spend the money for co-pays and meds and therapy. Just try to heal so you can be the mom and wife. No one ever invested in me.. the abusers just took ... that's what made me want to chage❤😊
..feels like worlds away and struggling through thousands of lifetimes .. you Will make it 😊

I understand your night-time brain. I have one that I can't shut off. I have found audio books are helping me. I put it on a timer and turn off the lights. Sometimes, I need to set the timer a second time, but it is helping. Just a suggestion. These plans for 2024 sound great! We are all on this planet for a reason. You mean something, and you are important to lots of people.
Thank you for spending time with us on here.

I think you will find the EMDR very helpful. I have been doing therapy regularly for some time and found the EMDR to be the most helpful for some of my issues. I'm glad you are focusing on taking care of yourself and I'm so appreciative of you sharing your journey. Mental health issues are more common than people realize and your courage in sharing your journey may spark others to get help for themselves. I'm a heavy girl and focusing on the number on the scale has done my head in. I have been working on having a better relationship with food and focusing on hunger cues and when I eat why am I eating? What am I feeling? You are absolutely not alone. So many people will relate to your journey. Thank you for your transparency and inspiration! 💗

OMG, I loved this video so much, Becky. This approach to "goals" is so practical and sets us up for success and less self-criticism. Your honesty is so inspiring and frankly shows courage and strength. A few things you said really struck me to my core and are so relatable, it almost felt like we sitting together and you were speaking to me, encouraging me. hugs

I really feel like you are a real life friend Becky ! I resonate with a lot you said . This year will be a huge year for me career / education wise and I do have goals for that but I stopped setting goals for things like books and weight . I just made general outlines of reading more and losing at least 2 kgs and going from there . I also want to focus on forming habits - even though I suck at keeping up with a habit tracker it’s a good way to see where you stand at with a habit

Becky I am a psy nurse and I have done emdr. It is very very effective. But it is very hard. Make sure you see someone that knows what they are doing. They should not just do the emdr without the therapy. You will need to process it. I went for an incident when my dtr choked and almost died. It “ opened” up other trauma. It was so hard but so so effective. It really helped me. Good luck with it honey. Keep us posted.

@@Whoopsididitagainco I actually have the same thing! The more I learn about you the more similarities I find.
I know healthcare is way different in the UK than USA (where I am), but personally, I’ve run into issues with providers trying to treat me like I’m bipolar instead of having BPD which it can be super dangerous (especially when they tried to put me on lithium).

You are a million times correct Becky!!! I was on tik toc for hours and it kept me from doing a lot so I deleted it, I think that’s the purpose is to distract me from spending time with my family, cleaning, date nights, me time all spent on a app then it’s time for bed then I do it all over again, it made me lazy and unproductive!!! We have to get back to enjoying our family and get off the phones and it’s not hard.

I suffered (and I mean suffered) from chronic ptsd, and emdr gave me my life back. To be honest, it bloody saved my life. I really hope it will help you take away some of the suffering.
And, thank you so much for this video. You said so many things I really needed to hear. I need to be kinder to myself. I'm doing my best. Some days, my best is to be able to get out of bed. But I still did my best. I can't compare my bad days with my good days.

Great idea! Thank you for sharing and love listening to you talk about your ins and outs, It feels like you are a friend sitting in the living room having a chat. It's fascinating to me how deep down a LOT of us feel so similar all around the world! the ins-outs sounds way more manageable than a 12 years plan ahead andvsuch. I have adhd so planning for the "future" as never been my forte XD Im going to get working on my list hopefully soon. Feeling so tired today.
I can also totally relate to the Head spinning everything and nothing at once thing, I listen to audiobooks(curently listening The Mantram Handbook by Eknat Easwaran, hopefully that can help my brain lol) Though I never went on tiktok really because my husband is on it quite frequently and the super fast-pace videos really triggers me in a bad way. Even the short on youtubes, I wish could be turned off.Like we have no control anymore over what is shoved in our heads. I have this impression it's steeling our brain space somehow, all this information that as to be processed, especially if you already get overwhelmed easily and have tendency to addictive behavior like with adhd-trauma etc

Hi. I have been hesitant to share the following information with you. But in the last year, I have not felt right, physically and mentally. I started watching and listening to Dr. Anthony Chaffee and Metabolic Mind and Dr. Berry. It’s on the carnivore life style. It has helped me, I have been in tremendous back pain, constantly feeling tired and dealing with suicidal thoughts. Listen and see if this lifestyle may help you.

I love this in and out. I do level 10 to do my goals. It’s just one thing per thing in my life.
Spirituality - going for a hike and communing with nature
Marriage - one date night a month
Friendships - one check in FaceTime call with a friend monthly (min 1 hr)
Children - reading with them every night
Environment - once a month declutter and organize
I have made sure to use my future log to block off the time. All February is all planned already.
Family meeting is a great idea. Friday with a takeaway with a sack ball.
    So excited for you.

Hi Becky! Thanks for sharing! We have had a very similar past because I have the exact same mental issues. I have adopted your ins and outs. I have been wanting to start a RUclips channel for a few years now and haven’t because of the fear no one will like it and worried that it won’t be pretty enough or I won’t be doing the right things. Also, because of my sensitivity to what people think of me, I’m terrified of the comments… anyway, I love your channel and I relate to you on so many levels! It’s refreshing when people are transparent and real instead of trying to be perfect. Although I know you struggle with perfectionism because you have such a hard time placing stickers sometimes. But that’s a different kind of being perfect which can plague you. I know because I deal with it also! I’m not sure why I’m rambling 🥴😋 it’s just nice to find someone like me 🥰 sorry if I offended you in any way, just trying to relate and stuff 🤦‍♀️ I’m socially awkward 😅 ❤

I don't know why but I got so emotional listening to you in this video... Maybe its because i literally felt every single thing you said. I feel all those things and more. Its really tough dealing with anxiety and PTSD, trauma, self hate and all that... I knew i related to you the first video i ever watched of yours... So thank you, for being SO raw, so honest, so real... That is SO RARE on youtube so i dont relate to a lot of them. I hope you can look back on this video and be proud of the woman and mom you are becoming... Its an everyday struggle but as long as you do the best you can and love those kids and love yourself... You, and I, will be ok. I honestly hate social media... Its ruined relationships, community, everything. No one speaks anymore... And if they do its something negative or judgey online and thats not good for anyone. Anyways, thank you for this video. Definitely doing ins and outs! Youre amazing - never forget that!
