It is not the python spirit, it is witchcraft/divination, seducing spirits, the spirit of deception through the spirit of anti-Christ. Divination in the Greek is pythos.
This new practice of giving names to spirits from the Old Testament, is false doctrine, it is not supported in scripture. The New Testament gives us the spirits to deal with, read it, study it, learn. This started approximately 12-15 years ago, never heard of it before that.
I love Pastor Jentezen Franklin's teachings. Sound biblical teaching is what the churches today need more of.

The biggest problem with our churches today is that they have become Entertainment Centers . The focus is on the gifts and not the Giver . If you want to see Holy Spirit move do what has always worked and don't offer God strange fire . Don't try to replace the moving of God in the service with Feel Good preaching services . I have been an outcast in places where I point out what God is saying as correction in the assembly. Right now the streets are wide open for evangelism and we are short of workers. The church is not about a building but rather a people who are dedicated to carrying out the great commission. It's like the 80's all over again where we saw miracles in the streets. Lydia is right on with her observations .

It is not the python spirit, it is the spirit of anti-Christ using deception, witchcraft, divination which is pythos in the Greek. I've been a Christian 44 years and a student of the Bible, only in the past 12-15 years has this practice of naming spirits from the Old Testament; Leviathan, Jezebel, Absolom, etc. been taught, it is false doctrine. The types of evil spirits are throughout the New Testament. However, one must study to show themselves approved...

Great message... I had to look up cessationism I had no idea what it meant. I love these messages where you can learn so much. I am going to get the Counterfeit Christianity, sounds like a great book. People are always telling me to tone down my talk of sin, and repentance, and the Blood of Jesus. But sin 2000 years ago, is still sin today. We don't can't change Christianity because of the "times".
Keep preaching against sin be strong and you shall wear a crown in Heaven when Jesus welcomes you home. Don't let them shut you up. Don't change your righteous indignation for them. Let them change and turn from their sinful degradation.
Above all, read the Word of God, you will not be prepared to meet Jesus without it. Ephesians 5:25-27

Oh so glad to hear someone else talking about discernment….that same topic has been on my mind so much past few months. I see people in church that have no discernment and just going along with the crowd….Saying how good a person is and that person is nothing more than a snake…I wonder where is there discernment, they apparently do not have any if they think that person is a good person of God.

The leadership says that you cannot preach the gospel only they can or that you must bring people to church to be saved.
Horrible things are consistently done to congregation members or other people and are swept under the rug and not dealt with.
These things will keep me or any discerning person out of a church.

As a single mother things are so hard on me. Both of my sons are autistic I’m overwhelmed. God please hear my prayers. I’m constantly struggling to buy groceries and constantly struggling to pay rent I’m ashamed and overwhelmed. But I choose to have faith over fear as christians that’s all we can do. No matter your struggle, we can turn to God. He knows us personally and can give us strength to overcome our challenges.
