Congrats on the 500 subscribers! And on doing videos for CoCoVid! It must be so exciting to see your hard work paying off!
As for the book, though I am but a newbie sewer I would love to be able to learn how to make medieval clothing. It's a time period and style that speaks to me. I didn't ebb know there was a book like that so it was exciting to see. 🙂

Hi, Kacy! I originally wanted that book because I don't know much about Medieval costuming, but it's fascinating to me! Your enthusiasm for the book really sold it for me and now I want it even more! I would love to learn more!

I started learning to sew in May while quarantining. This channel has been one of my favorite Costubing channels for light hearted fun with sewing, and have been so inspirational! My excitement has been transferred to my sons who both want to learn to sew too! This book sounds like so much fun to pour through! I would love to be able to make a medieval drees to wear at Renn Fest when the world goes back to normal one day. Or if not, I’ll wear it around my house and just pretend I’m there, LOL!

However, if that's too far to send, then no worries. I understand. Anyone would be lucky to get it. Take care of you.

I have always been fascinated with medieval period and clothing. I used to dress up like Maid Marian when I was in high school, many moons ago, as I had found a dress at a thrift store that looked like something from that time period. Not sure whatever became of that dress, come to think of it. I would love to learn more about the tailoring of that era. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.

I'm still figuring out my persona, and I'm much more familiar with Victorian clothes than medieval clothes, been feeling very lost, especially since I have no sewing books to reference. I found CoCoVid through Bernadette Banner's channel. It's so nice to be able to "associate" with other costumers. I've played in the SCA since 1975 but haven't been really active in the last decade. I actually really really love medieval clothes for their simplicity and I very much want to make a nice soft wool kirtle for my everyday wear in winter, or really the 8 months out of the year it's cold in MN. I would use it to sew my first medieval garb, as well as sew clothing for my friends and family. My brother is actually having a medieval themed birthday tomorrow, even though none of us have anything historically accurate besides our weapons 😂. Next year I know he'd like it a bit more accurate, so I'd use it to make him his own costume.

  • @ΣτυλιανήΚαρανάτσιου-τ5μ

First of all, congratulations for reaching 500 subscribers. Although I saw the video a few hours after it was posted, I hesitated to post a comment. Since then, I’ve been contemplating whether I should do it or not. The reason being the fact that I’m from Europe.
I would really love to get this book. I really love books, and I am from my nature a creature always seeking knowledge (about various subjects, maybe way too many). I have always been. And among them, history has always been one of my favorites. I really do love history. For some years now, I’ve been interested in the clothes people have been wearing throughout history (and throughout different places), among other things. The period in which I focus more, depends on the month-day-moment, and on my mood. But this does not mean that I forget the rest. It’s more like a continuously moving circle with various focuses at every moment. Apart from looking at these clothes and admiring them, and learning about them, I am also interested in making them, and wearing them myself. I’m interested in starting sewing myself, and I want to sew things which I genuinely like. I’ve always have had a love for long dresses (and skirts). But I don’t own any. But I have not sewn clothing before, apart from the occasional mending and sewing back buttons (mainly), and I have only practiced sewing on scraps of fabric using my grandmother’s sewing machine (last time I did was on March, I think), and making hand stitches for practice. I have been studying the medieval clothes (of many lands) more in recent years, and the medieval times as a whole. I intend to start my sewing journey with making clothing from the medieval era. In autumn of last year, I bought a cheap cotton fabric (of the natural fabrics I found, it was the cheapest) with which I intend to start experimenting with sewing. But I’m so anxious and hesitant on starting, especially cutting the fabric. I might make a mistake. I do intend to start from the undergarment dress-chemise, to go from inner, to outer clothing. This fabric may be for experimenting, and starting and learning to sew, but I want to use historical patterns and techniques, and slowly learn and evolve. I’m also interested in historical methods. Knowledge is hidden in them. Apart from the various ways of hand sewing, the most modern way of sewing I’ll ever use, will probably be my grandmother’s sewing machine. Originally hand powered when bought, it has become a treadle powered machine more than half a century ago. The many things we can do without electricity, with our hands directly or not, are remarkable. But many people nowadays forget them. I don’t want this to happen. I hope that if I get this book and read it, I’ll muster the courage to begin my sewing journey sooner, and learn more from it and with it. This book is a title I’ve seen before, and I have been interested in, but I am unable to buy it. I would love to get access to the knowledge it hides inside. To just read it and learn from it, study it, and to try and make myself (at least) some of the things it contains.

I would love to have this book in my arsenal because I have been working in the medieval era lately. My plans are to make a kirtle (in progress), a Lenberg bra, an overgrown inspired by st George slaying the dragon, and hose. After my outfit my mother has requested the undergarments and a historically accurate queen elinor. It would be a wonderful addition to my research.
