hi finn, i live in angeles city and i spend a little bit more than you, 35k for my rent (nice condo with parking gym and pool), internet/cable 1750, electricity 1500, food (never cook at home, restaurant lunch and diner every day) probably around 25k, gasoline and tolls ( one 400cc scooter+big 900cc Kawasaki bike) around 5k...total of 70k per month on my own...whereas you live with sherlyn! before angeles city i've been living in makati for 4 years and my rent was around 50-55k a month so it's a lot cheaper for me here and very convenient with clark intl airport at 15mns from my place as i commute to europe every 6 weeks via doha with qatar airways or via dubai with emirates, i absolutely love it here! cheers mate.
Life in Canada is expensive. Just essentials like rent/food/transportation/fuel is difficult and the cause of much stress. It’s definitely more fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭 and I can’t wait to go back. Great job Finn.
Stephen I have known some retired, pendioners US that they have business in the ph( using their pension funds )& their satisfied they got their pensions doubled!!!
@FinnSnow We are so blessed to have been able to meet you and Sherlyn and to even have you actually spend time with us. This time with you was the cherry on top of our first trip here in Cebu. Time goes by so fast, from around 10K subs when i watched your First Philippine top 10 location when you had Coron as Number 9... How long ago was that? Now you have 300K... Wow Congratulations. You are a good man Finn that is why you get along with Filipinos so much... I will continue to support you. God Bless.
Im same as you. I subscribed around that time. I really loved how finn made those travel vlogs. Very cinematic with nice background music. The drone shots were amazing!
Hi Cody...nice to see you here... Do u know im the one who gave finn snow that yellow basketball jersey, that he's wearing in this video? If u like to have one, i can give u.. but on april next year for our 24th season
Finn it’s not all about the money 💵. What’s more important is your happy in Cebu doing the things you love. Also your contributions to the community you call home 🏡 Take Care! 😘🇵🇭🇺🇸
Finn, last year in February, I was in Cebu, 1/2 block from Ayala mall at Avalon Condos for 10 days and did my groceries shopping at the same supermarket. That is good budget for you guys. Have a nice weekend.
Finn, great videos. I am living in Dauin (abt 20km outside Dumaguete). I have a fully furnished beach house, with hot water, aircon, 2 washing machines for clothes, free water, free WiFi, free cable all for 13,000php. Electricity (and I run it 24/7) cost about 4000php. There's several different food stores in Dumaguete and my food bill this month is about 10,000php. Fruits and veggies I usually buy from the markets and is very cheap. My wife's parents have a lot of mango trees, coconut trees, and papaya trees so we never have to pay for those. A loaf of bread costs 40pesos, and the Dauin market has really good veggies for low prices. We usually buy fish from Bacong market (they have a great selection). It's very close to us, and I can get enough fish for my wife, and her family for around 300php. We have a shrimp farm in Dauin and can grab 1kg or 2.2lbs of shrimp for 250php. There's plenty of housing for rent in this area. I like being outside the city because it's quiet, less traffic, less pollution, and the temp is much cooler than in Dumaguete. Still close enough to town that I can get there on the scooter in about 20-30mins depending on traffic. Oh, currently fuel is 49peso a liter on average. Where I live we have a clear view of Apo Island, and Siquijor Island. My total expenses (and I live very comfortsbly) for just the necessities is about 40,000php ($800/USD) a month.
Is it expensive to live in the Philippines? Yes and No. It really depends on what kind of lifestyle you chooses to live by. Living a simple life in the province is the cheapest way, the cost of living is cheap, the cost of acquiring your own house and lot is cheaper compared in Manila or the city proper. The food is cheaper too (specially in the local food market). Living in the city like Manila is different, it costs a lot. To have a descent place to stay is expensive. The food is expensive, transportation can be expensive. It's crowded, it's hot, but it is where all the modern world conveniences can be found, lavish life style, branded goods. Work and etc. It's just up to you.
Harvest Moon i work and live in the US but I do my lab works in the Philippines every year because it’s way cheaper despite having my health insurance.
I stay in Manila even though my wife has a home in province. Takes a hour to get real butter in the country. Plus it gets boring . The city is just more convenient. I stay in tondo it has a bad reputation but honestly I don't know why I have not had any more issues here than other places. I actually had more problems with people In Province
Thanks Finn....I have been to Cebu a couple of times and have a wonderful fiancee there. I'm from Ohio in the states and love the Philippines like you do. I'm returning in January and I I'm already counting the days I just can't wait. I've been following you and your lady for a while now and appreciate all your info. God bless take care in all your travels
Next big cost will be a car for all your equipment , underwaterhouse and lights for your camera ( or better get a videocamera ? ) ...can.t wait to see how you work your magic with the underwaterfootage Finn !!!
Hello Finn, when look back at your memories and videos when your 50 yrs old. You will need another 5-10 years to watch it all ha ha. Long live Finn Snow !
It’s still by far cheaper in the Philippines than most places in the USA. I spend like $600 a month just for myself in food. My cell phone bill is almost $60. I need unlimited data so I don’t miss any Finn and Sherlyn videos.
I am Filipina who live in the US, foods here are way cheaper than Philippines believe me, I cooked everyday so, $600 were enought for 4 adults in my household a month.
Love the honest authenticity..”I do it for me. I share it with you and I love your comments and input, but I do this for me.” Truly to be good at anything, one must love it. And its hard to love it when you are doing it for others. Even a work of charity (for others) must come from the heart, one’s own heart, heart felt. And your videos are among the most exceptional in how you capture the beauty of a place or thing or vent. By the way, my family’s roots are in Mindanao and Dumaguete. My grandmother was one of the first students at Silliman University in Dumaguete, when they only had one building. That building is now a museum and said to be haunted. It is eerie to stand at the bottom of the steps while looking to the upper flloors, which are always dark. We now have many generations of family members that have since attended there. But no, not me. I live in Northern California, where I grew up. And as a rebellious teen with an American mentality, I knew I would only get into trouble in Silliman’s conservative environment.
Our apartment in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental is approximately 11000 pesos per month. Electric bill is around 4000 pesos with aircon running 24/7. The water bill is 250 pesos per month. Grocery bill is another 12000 pesos per month. The cost of living is very reasonable compared to when I lived in Cebu City. Compared to living in the USA it’s very low.
city life is always expensive, if you have a budget then it's OK but for me i prefer province but near to the main city which will cost you almost half of that 50k
Thanks for this info - very interesting. I am a homeowner in Oregon - about $1500 a month for mortgage and property tax. Probably double that for all our food and utility expenses, and car insurance. I would definitely retire in the Philippines - love the water and the people.
I think any countries that has a higher exchange rate will be the best place to retire. $1 is Php 42+++ here. Coz last week I converted $170.00 and I got Php 3,400 and some change. But that was through Paypal. Exchange rate goes up and down. Living in the provinces is cheaper compared to living in Manila or any major cities or business centers. The farther in the city the cheaper the cost of living. The cheaper the land prices or house.
@@michaeljaysonbanua4870 Actually the exchange rate as of today is 50.95 so you SHOULD have got around 8,661 pesos DAMN!!! You need to switch from using PayPal!! I think it was even higher 6 months ago when you posted because rates have been going down. I know because I check daily as I have been living here for 3 and a half years now.
Nice insight 😊 You mentioned Dumaguete...I love that place, more laid back....a province and a city at the same time. I love the boulevard. One day, I'll go back there. 😊
As most travelers know, it's never really about how much you make, it's about how much you need. Some expats arrive and are flying back a year later because they eat out constantly and spend $$$ for western foods they miss and well...that adds up fast. In addition, while the Philippines is much less taxing on the wallet than the United States, prices have been rising and it's not nearly the bargain it once was unless one really enjoys getting off the grid. Thanks to videos like yours Finn, it gives prospective expats and others a real glimpse into the true cost of living there and to an even greater degree, the VALUE of one's life when living there. I will say this much, for most westerners, you're going to need more patience than money. lol
Maxx61: 100% correct. Like 30 minutes waiting in line at a grocery store to pay, and watching the clerk counting your money four times in front of you (?), waiting in a long line at SM to pay for your items and watching others cut in line in front of you (very common), 30 plus minutes waiting at a bank, the whole day at a government office or 2 hours to travel 5 miles in traffic (yes, it would be faster to walk...I’ve done it in an hour and a half. But the heat). Patience is a valuable asset in the Philippines especially if your from the states.
i like this info about the cost of living , it helps a lot of us on budgeting and financial literacy. thanks finn.... investing on priorities and what makes you happy. thanks finn....
most cost in the Philippines is only 1 peso if compare a 1 dollar is 52 pesos so all things is just a low cost so you can living for a long time in Cebu
Shaka brah !! Yahoo, the mosquito is alive once again. Yes, it is expensive in Cebu. Everywhere around the world the cost of living has gotten expensive. And they call it progress. Keep the videos coming in and people help the Viking King and the Princess Sherlyn, they are an amazing pair. Keep the sun in your hair, God bless. Aloha nui loa
If you buy your fish, beef, pork and vegetables in the public market, you can get them 1/2 to 1/3 cheaper compared to supermarkets. Price of dressed chicken is almost the same except if you buy less branded or supermarket branded chicken which is a lot cheaper. Also if you eat at a local carinderia, you save a lot conpared to restaurants. Here in Makati monthly food expense is around P15,000 to P20,000.
But if your time is worth more money than wasting hours shopping, cooking, cleaning, etc. Finn is doing it right for this stage of his life and career.
Well thanks for the info from your life around the expenses you have for living in the Philippines making awesome videos! As your subscriber base grow and more views you will get bigger revenues into the future. As you are now still young and the the day of retirement seems a long way off you must save from your earnings now in a pension fond. As while living abroad you will loose out when retirement comes. If you are paying your income taxes to your homeland you will be able to obtain your pension when that time comes. Also as your hobby is your business it's a good idea to get done an accounting of your expenses and investment in filming equipments. By doing this you will get an overview of your hard work and see the results in figures as it all comes down to Pesos or Dollars. You probably have used and invested thousands of Dollars in this activity and at the end of the year you can look back and see if the work has given you an economy that is acceptable. While you are earning Dollars from abroad in the Philippines it seems much more money because of it's value in Pesos. But, if you were living in a western country it wouldn't be the same as the cost of living is many times much higher. Just my 5 cents!
I like your outlook in life. It boggles my mind that you've choosen here to live in Cebu and do your adventures in this country. Anyway, you should get and Landers card for grocery. haha
I'm always watching your blog and also your friend kulas the Canadian who really inspire us as a Filipino, no worries you inspire us too. I'm happy that you look like a real Filipino, on how you appreciate good and a little bit bad things in our country. As long as you love what you want to do, do for it we will support you, as what Filipino spirit is.
exactly right ...... I know someone who rented a 1 br apartment for $1600 plus utilities, not bcuz she & her family want to live like rich & famous but bcuz everything in the u.s are expensive now ...... @ walmart they just raised the price of tang orange @ $2.58 now,it used to be like $2 last year ........ mabuhay !!!!!!
johnnie hotrod I know right.. this is not a land of milk and honey. People work hard to make ends meet.Taxes will eat you up lol Luckily our 🏡 and 🚗 are paid off 🙏 You are right, commodities prices are going up. I know for a fact because I work at Walmart. Gas price in our area is $2.45 a gallon.
I don’t know if you believe this, living in Silicon Valley, California is very expensive. $5,000 more or less a month for mortgage, utilities, gas, car repairs & maintenance, groceries and insurances is how much we spend. Our jobs are here in the area & we are not ready to move yet. Just FYI.
Strictly no skipping of adds. A little help for you finn. Also, spreading to my co worker about subscribing on ur channel. I talk a lot about u and ur videos. And there kinda curious about it. I let them watch on my phone and I like it when they say it's awesome. A one of a kind vlog. Kudos.
Finn, thank you for sharing your personal expenses. I'm a foreigner too... I am from Hawaii and have been living here almost 3 years now. I have been a fan subscriber over a year now and I really appreciate & enjoy your vlogs!
Yes, Rustan’s is high end. Maybe you can try and check out Metro Ayala Supermarket at the ground floor of Ayala Mall. It is affordable and still within the mall area. They also have imported goods section for your western items needs. 😀
Annette14cdo L Metro isn’t cheap. If you want really cheap goods, Gaisano, La Nueva, Prince and Colonnade supermarkets are the best bets. Metro supermarket in Ayala is only a lil bit cheaper than Rustan’s. Metro price is midrange. Rustan’s and Robinson’s Selection in Galleria Cebu have more product choices than most regular supermarkets. But if Finn really likes to splurge on imported goods from Europe, Australia and USA, membership-only Landers Superstore is the best option. S&R stocks mostly American goods.
Hello Finn👋, saw u have coke Zero, try if u can avoid Zeros as they use sucralose which is from GMO poop of E.Coli, it is not recognize by body hence it doesnt break it down and puts it aside as Stored fat. I have messaged Coca-cola Company and they said they will be planning to use Corn syrup instead of regular cane sugar on Regular Coke drinks
This is pretty accurate for the most part. I have been living in the Philippines for the past three years with my Filipina wife. It is very safe here and immigration is very easy. I live on Mactan Island near Cebu City. I would say I’m living very comfortably but not extravagantly. Here is my monthly budget: Rent for two Bedroom new house : $290 Electric running AC 15hrs a day :$100 Food + Daily Necessities Budget (quality food no alcohol):$300 Entertainment eating out 3 times a week, malls, coffee etc $300 Internet (slowish) $40 Cell phone $20 Immigration visa extension $75 (average and varies) can extend tourist visa up to 3 years the SRRV is not necessary imo. Miscellaneous (medical, short trips, taxis, clothes) $200 Summary: realistic budget is $1000-$1300 a month
Cebu(Visayas) is where its at. lol Living in NYC( Queens ) for 27 years, its great to be back in Cebu and experience the laid back atmosphere is great! Haha
Hey guys Finn and Sherlyn...going to little markets like "palengke" is more cheaper to buy fruits and veggies, fish and meats rather going to Rustans..not only helping locals in their own small business....you can also create a "good suki" that will give you some discounts"ask Sherlyn about this if you are regular on their markets besides its fresh...and ask Sherlyn to learn to cook as Filipinas do for their lovelife...😍😍,"there's a saying ...A way to a men's heart is through his stomach"besides its your choice to be healthy in your food...its cheaper too ...compared eating everyday on restaurants..which is expensive...Finn getting so mature man now..you grown up so quickly...you work so hard so you deserve a beautiful life in PH...congratulations and THANK you for what you do...Pls. stay humble and don't Change...all God's blessings will shower back with you..😇😇😇😇😇👍👍👍👍👍
Cheaper in the province. Its even free food just look around you can pick some vegetables (organic) like okra, saluyot, egg plants etc etc. If yr not lazy to plant .....
Im liveing about 40 minuts south of olongapo built my house when i was still working and i live on 480.00 dollors a month gym membership pretty awsome. 😃
Maraming salamat kuya Pin for sharing your videos, yes i know your doing it for yourself, but now its is different,ur video is a channel for inspirstion.Just enjoy urself. We love your sincerity...Godbless and ingat ka lagi.
Hi Finn Snow your cost of living in the Philippines is your personal choice. You're fortunate of having the capability of the essentials and luxuries that you're enjoying day after day. You choose Cebu as your home-base for some valid reasons. Summarizing your expenditures, I also can say as the song goes you're truly a "big spender" great help in Philippine economy by keeping the currency in circulation and no dormancy of your bank accounts. You also is a great instrument of a foundation being created. Stay healthy and more power to your life's success and for helping others !!! Have a great vacation in your Iceland with Sherlyn soon. Thank you for choosing Philippines in your journey and life's adventure meeting also your special partner Sherlyn.
You can buy a condo unit Finn. There are lot of units which only costs you Php 10k or less per month. Go look online for condo listings in Cebu. And you can also rent out the unit.
Hi Finn, let me introduce you ourselves, , Adelaida & Dionisio Ilao, immigrated to Canada 50 years ago, before we retired we've ben traveling almost everywhere, been watching your blog, after this world problem, it is very good what your doing to our country, environment, in case we visit Philippines, were going to contact you in the future, Good luck to you & your wife. We love your video, keep up the good work
Thank you so much, Finn, for sharing your life in the Philippines. We are thinking of retiring there. It's very expensive here abroad for retired seniors. The snow is heavy and freezing in the wintertime. The only thing good here in Canada is the health care system. If you get sick, the doctor and the hospital are free. Some meds are also covered by OHIP. The Ontario Health Insurance Plan. The weather is nice during Spring, Summer, and Fall. But if you love warm weather, the Philippines is good. The foods in the Philippines are affordable. Enjoy your life in the Philippines. We love to watch your vlogs. Take care and Sherlyn. God bless.❤❤❤
Hi Finn, I spent like 50k to 60k a month with 6 people in the house. Well, rent excluded because we have our own house but we do have 1 helper for 7,500/ mo.,electricity 8 to 13k a mo.depending on the usage, WiFi 2k, water 500 to 750(depending on the usage again), Netflix 300, signal 300, fuel variable for 3 cars maybe 6k to 8k (depending on usage again) and the rest is food. Food / groceries really aren’t cheap say 7,500/ week for food. Just look for a cheapest rent but descent and you will save a lot more. Basically, rent close to commercial area are extremely high. Rustan’s is a high end store, go to SM or Robinson’s or Foodarama their prices are reasonable or more likely if you’re a cowboy try wet market, I myself prefer wet market because it’s fresh and cheap no frozen foods but my son likes a comfortable area to shop.( He is hard to please.) By the way, my kids lives in Talamban, cebu city. ( studying yet) Sorry, though this was a year ago and just watch it! I’m here in the US.
Hi Finn, this is big sister lorie. Below, you said, you're curious to know the cost of living abroad - in my case, America. I have title to your video, I called: BUDGETING, FORECASTING and PROJECTION. I went to school in the Philippines and took accounting classes but never paid much attention it's importance until I arrived in America. In America, you need to know how much your gross income, how much your net pay after deductions. Most Filipinos in America work two to three jobs so they can cope with the necessities and essentials. Biggest monthly expenditure is the mortgages if you own your house, monthly payment go by the thousands, monthly car payment - if you borrow money to obtain the car, monthly insurances - both car and house, if you have kids "very expensive" utility bills, food, yearly property taxes - go by the thousands, car maintenance, credit card debt and allocation for unintended expenses - eating out or gift buying. In every household that I know, it needs two earners to cover the projected expenses. With my explanation, you can pretty much get the picture the kind of life we're having in America. If we do not work in America, we do not have roof on our heads and that's the scary part. My sister and niece are renting one bedroom apartment for $1800 a month. They live far from where I live because of their job location. Mother and daughter have to split-up expenses so they can save at least. You have an advantage over us in so many ways because you are not pressured to go to work daily, you can create your own schedules. You are not under micro managed, most of us are. I envy your lifestyle. I wish I can reverse my lifestyle, but I have to be contented to what I've got because it was my choice to come to America. I work in the accounting department and I am responsible for reconciling the money that comes in on a daily bases so management would get an idea if we made money that day or not. Every end of the month, my head spins like crazy because we have to make sure that everything is done properly so the management can come up with solutions if the sales projection was not met. What you need to know is your EXPENSES against Receivables/income on a monthly basis. If your expenses is higher than your receivable/income, you're in trouble and that's where you make your adjustments in lifestyle. If you know how to create Spreadsheet, you can record your daily expenses against your cash in the bank. Based from you explanation, you will be staying in Cebu because of the convenience that serves you - that is your prerogative. I do not go to the gym, I'd rather take a walk everyday and do my Pilates. I just don't understand why people have to pay to exercise - amazed me! Gym is not a clean area, everybody is sweating. I have a little idea how to handle money and I am sharing it with you. If you look for financial planner, those people are expensive. Know your income so you can balance your lifestyle.
That was really very helpful. At least you give me an idea when I'll be retiring soon. By the way, I like your sensitivity, honesty, and authenticity. There were several episodes in your vlogs that tell me you're really a nice person at heart.
What !!! Finn !!! ... You're never going to get OLD and look back over your vids ... no way mate. Surethe rest if us do but you're so youthful ... Sherlyns fault ... haha. You live well but you work hard so lyou need to. Cost you heaps more than that elsewhere my friend. Thanks for the update on your costs. Have an awedome weekend guys. Bushyboy Oz.
It is very true,we must priority our health through good exercises & healthy foods.Being fit or healthy, you can works &earn for your needs and fullfill your goals & plans in life for your future.God keep you safe&healthy.take care Finnlyn
In Guam my essential expenses are probably around $2.3k a month... maybe a bit more. I pay $900 a month rent for a studio apartment here (but I do have ocean view :) ) My electric runs about $150-$160 a month. Home Phone/Mobile/Internet is $140. I also have a car payment, groceries, fuel for vehicle, insurance, and miscellaneous stuff. If I ever make it home I need to try and clear out my storage. I pay $190 a month for that! When I was living in the Philippines my costs were very similar to yours. I would usually shoot for no more than about P25-30k a month for a roof over my head when I was looking at where I would go next. Generally I was in a studio apartment or something similar because I never committed more than a month at a time. That was how I could stay 3 months in Subic diving the wrecks, or a month in Malapascua (one of my favorites dive destinations) or 6 weeks in Puerto Galera (another favorite). When I went places that I spent less time than a month I would often opt for a fan room with no a/c to save money. I didn't own a car or a motorbike in the Philippines but I did dive on a regular basis and that was one of my larger expenses where I could easily spend as much on diving as I did on rent :) In Guam I dive practically for free. Almost all my diving is shore diving and when I want to go I just load my gear in the car and 15 or 20 minutes later I'm gearing up :) For the diving at least I do save money here... it's just the diving there is really a lot better :)) Now throw in the occasional trip off island while I still have rent, car payment, insurance, etc.. to pay and is it any wonder I've not been to the US in 2 years :)) For me to fly from Guam to Houston will always be above $1500... from Manila I can find tickets for less than half that! When I lived there I made it home a couple times a year. You know I'd not really compared everything before you asked the question... Now that I'm looking at all the numbers I'm starting to ask myself why I don't move back :))
Finn go find a house in Valencia which is a town close to dumaguete cause the electric is much cheaper because they have they’re own power source. Check on that.
Antonieta Abiera really when and who is the owner po I’ll ask my daughter kasi taga Bais City ako and I’m here in Omaha NE and I ask my daughter to look for s house there. She never told about the electric.
@@MakoyUnggoy yah I like it there but it's been 15 yrs since I last saw it. It's free entrance I guess Pa Rin. Are the dancing inmates still doing their shows?
@@FinnSnowVlogs I remember it being a bit of a pain to find but once you've gone up the hill it's so quiet as you're not aloud to beep your horn because of the Temple!
Finn its better to buy a house than renting, coz if you own a house your monthly cost is low, the monthly cost of leaving in Quezon City is 250$ a month but I bought a house because it’s cheaper like that than renting. Enjoy your time in the Philippines, your a good person with big heart with the pilipinos
You're more than welcome to stay here in Duma with Sherlyn, Finn, you might not get all the wonderful high-end grocery products from Rustans, but everything else more than makes up for it, especially since you do a lot of traveling anyway
Antonieta Abiera As what Finn said, Cebu is the best place to base yourself because you’re so close to both life’s convenience and travel options because Cebu seaports are connected to virtually all cities or islands in all Visayas and Mindanao islands. Cebu airport is connected to many key Asian destinations as well as most domestic destinations. The limited sea and air connections from Dumaguete makes it hard for travelers like Finn because he has to go to either Cebu or Manila before finally getting to his final destination.
Hey guys, I'm curious to know your essentials cost and where you are living, in Philippines or abroad!?
hi finn, i live in angeles city and i spend a little bit more than you, 35k for my rent (nice condo with parking gym and pool), internet/cable 1750, electricity 1500, food (never cook at home, restaurant lunch and diner every day) probably around 25k, gasoline and tolls ( one 400cc scooter+big 900cc Kawasaki bike) around 5k...total of 70k per month on my own...whereas you live with sherlyn! before angeles city i've been living in makati for 4 years and my rent was around 50-55k a month so it's a lot cheaper for me here and very convenient with clark intl airport at 15mns from my place as i commute to europe every 6 weeks via doha with qatar airways or via dubai with emirates, i absolutely love it here!
cheers mate.

Living in the 🇵🇭, it cost me about 200$ a month. Inclusive for house rent, food and bills. Exclusive of travel and leisure needs.
Life in Canada is expensive. Just essentials like rent/food/transportation/fuel is difficult and the cause of much stress. It’s definitely more fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭 and I can’t wait to go back. Great job Finn.
What's your monthly expenses?
Stephen I have known some retired, pendioners US that they have business in the ph( using their pension funds )& their satisfied they got their pensions doubled!!!

Finn, last year in February, I was in Cebu, 1/2 block from Ayala mall at Avalon Condos for 10 days and did my groceries shopping at the same supermarket. That is good budget for you guys. Have a nice weekend.
Thnk you Finn for sharing us your journey.. Your correct Finn our cost of living is depend upon how you manage it.. Peace!!
CORRECT!
You are living your best life. Keep being you. I always like to see the cost breakdown but it seems when i go on trips, the costs will always vary.
A blessed Saturday afternoon Mr. Finn Snow and Sherlyn Doloriel, GOD bless ur day!
God had nothing to do with it
Is it expensive to live in the Philippines?
Michaels Paper Dolls Healthcare over there is bad. Can eat up your money if you get sick. Labs procedures doctors etc.
Yes ! Living in Manila isn’t that cheap. In fact im from France and my wife and I spend much more here that in Europe.
Harvest Moon i work and live in the US but I do my lab works in the Philippines every year because it’s way cheaper despite having my health insurance.
?? Your cannot own land unless your a Filipino?
I stay in Manila even though my wife has a home in province. Takes a hour to get real butter in the country. Plus it gets boring . The city is just more convenient. I stay in tondo it has a bad reputation but honestly I don't know why I have not had any more issues here than other places. I actually had more problems with people In Province
Vacationing next year with my siblings @ Cebu.. Gonna be looking for spots and activities to do and visit from your vlogs..😃
I just subcribe yesterday. And this is my 2nd video ive watch. Love it!

I'm returning in January and I I'm already counting the days I just can't wait. I've been following you and your lady for a while now and appreciate all your info. God bless take care in all your travels
The cost of living in PI depends greatly on what kind of lifestyle one desires, as well as location.
Long live Finn Snow !
these videos can be the bedtime story vlogs of the future little ones : D
It’s still by far cheaper in the Philippines than most places in the USA. I spend like $600 a month just for myself in food. My cell phone bill is almost $60. I need unlimited data so I don’t miss any Finn and Sherlyn videos.
I am Filipina who live in the US, foods here are way cheaper than Philippines believe me, I cooked everyday so, $600 were enought for 4 adults in my household a month.
Food can be cheaper in America for sure
$600?! Is that from take out? I'm from NYC and my groceries barely reaches $300 a month.
@@Moss_piglets how many adults for your $300? She said her $600 is for4 adults.
Data? It's mega slow?
Finn, I have not seen your channel for a while. Are you still in the Philippines in Jan. 2021?
Big RESPECT for staying TRUE to YOURSELF and not to “ENTERTAIN” for the VIEWS and $

city life is always expensive, if you have a budget then it's OK but for me i prefer province but near to the main city which will cost you almost half of that 50k

@@michaeljaysonbanua4870 Exchange rate is about 49Php per 1$ right now. you should have received about 7,500 Php for 170$ USD minus charges

Happy for you Finn... your soul is so rich now with all the travels you have done in the Philippines.... God bless you....
i like this info about the cost of living , it helps a lot of us on budgeting and financial literacy. thanks finn....

Anyway, you should get and Landers card for grocery. haha

You are right, commodities prices are going up.
Just FYI.

Yes, life should be about making memories! Way to go Finn and all vloggers out there!

This is pretty accurate for the most part.
I have been living in the Philippines for the past three years with my Filipina wife. It is very safe here and immigration is very easy. I live on Mactan Island near Cebu City. I would say I’m living very comfortably but not extravagantly.

Internet (slowish) $40
Cell phone $20
Immigration visa extension $75 (average and varies) can extend tourist visa up to 3 years the SRRV is not necessary imo.
Miscellaneous (medical, short trips, taxis, clothes) $200

Glad to see you have some Australian products also. We are going to the Phil's in August.
Waiting your recent upload take care always don't get sick in philippine good morning it's Saturday
Very expensive gym.In LA Fitness in California or other gym.The monthly fee is only $27 to $31 a month.
Hi Finn🤗 I can see your heart through clear glass and I like😊😍. God Bless You and Sherlyn. Mabuhay 😍

solar energy for the gadgets and rain water catchments maybe it could save you a lot of water :-)
I didn't own a car or a motorbike in the Philippines but I did dive on a regular basis and that was one of my larger expenses where I could easily spend as much on diving as I did on rent :)
In Guam I dive practically for free. Almost all my diving is shore diving and when I want to go I just load my gear in the car and 15 or 20 minutes later I'm gearing up :) For the diving at least I do save money here... it's just the diving there is really a lot better :))
Now throw in the occasional trip off island while I still have rent, car payment, insurance, etc.. to pay and is it any wonder I've not been to the US in 2 years :)) For me to fly from Guam to Houston will always be above $1500... from Manila I can find tickets for less than half that! When I lived there I made it home a couple times a year.
You know I'd not really compared everything before you asked the question... Now that I'm looking at all the numbers I'm starting to ask myself why I don't move back :))
you should make a video about Difference cost of living "City vs Province"
Finn go find a house in Valencia which is a town close to dumaguete cause the electric is much cheaper because they have they’re own power source. Check on that.

@@travellinronzky It's been 5 years since I've been, I didn't see any dancing show when I visited, it must have been everyone's day off!
Enjoy your time in the Philippines, your a good person with big heart with the pilipinos
i love this info finn about cost of living
I Love you both soooooo much I keep watching the same videos I saw already over and over again and then over again.
its true... its not worth anymore to eat at Jollibee or McDo... very small the Portions now compare from before....
