My top two saves would be Le Male Le Parfum & Versace Pour Homme Le Male smells FANTASTIC to me, I just wish it projected more (Le Male Elixir? 😂) but it makes up for it with its EXTREME longevity. The first designer fragrance I ever purchased and could never go without it in my collection. Perfect for winter & nighttime. Versace Pour Homme is so unbelievably versatile, smells very fresh, and I can spray as much as I want and not worry about cloying (which I spray a lot since the longevity is not the best). Love this stuff. Perfect for summer & daytime.
However, I did just purchase Afnan 9pm two days ago (decided against another torso in the lineup) and so far, this stuff is amazing. Might become a new favorite of mine…

I think that Dior Sauvage Elixir will be a classic and iconic in the next 10 year, such as Dior Homme Intense. There will be someone to love it and someone to hate it... I am someone to love it rsrs.
OG Is the best choice in versatility and class, if you don't still know your position on vetiver but you like the DNA, Givree Is fantastic (though It Is way less versatile, especially in cold weather)

Ironically a lot of these were my first pickups but out of all of them the one I would tell you to sample first before buying is Dior homme intense it’s a very divisive you either love it or hate it I was really off put by it the first time I smelled it early on I’m like why would you want to smell like lipstick? Now that I’m into the hobby and while I do like the smell it’s not something I would personally ever wear so I’m happy I didn’t blind buy

I love the dreamer, especially at the price. It had to grow on me and I thought it had a resemblance to Uden Overdose from Xerjoff. Funny how you find Hermes indestructible. Years ago my whole shelf just broke and all my perfumes felt on the floor. Many cheapies back then. And which one was the only broken one? 😢 Hermes… which was at that time my most expensive perfume. Funny how time passes and my view on expensive frags changed completely.

Any recommendations for a spring summer fragrance that can be worn in clubs? I really like YSL L'homme and YSL Bleu electrique. I would like a similar fragrance like the ones mentioned, but with better projection and performance (clubbing).I looked at YSL Y EDP and intense, Valenino Uomo Born in Rome and Brioni edp intense. I just received Brioni edp intense, but it's not what i expected. Would really appreciate some recommendations :)
my go to for going out to a pub depends on the season, if warm it's usually adg profumo or ysl y le parfum. colder weather i usually opt for valentino uomo intense or tom ford noir extreme as all last a solid 6 hours and project except the tom ford but the girlfriend loves it so have to wear it quite a bit more than what i want to 😂
Not a rec, but I just tried the most ridiculous but awesome clubbing combo, (I got the 10ml sizes) of ATH Hard Candy and Hard Candy Elixir. They’re meant to be worn together and they are insane. If I was still clubbing and I wanted to go nuclear, that is what I’d wear 😂. My down to earth rec would be Azzaro the Most Wanted.

I have a 2013 polo red that in a million years nobody would guess was polo red it smells so niche. It’s macerated into a really deep warm spicy smell and has lost all of its aromatic and bright components. Wore it when i went shopping so I could compare it to a fresh bottle and it was nothing alike. Seems like the best ingredients get prioritized in early batches

I'm in my 50's and have been enjoying classic fragrances for over 30 years but Sauvage Elixir is just about the most foul smelling fragrance I have ever tried. How anyone could like this is incomprehensible in my opinion. The three figure price tag is laughable!
I had the Dreamer as my first fragrance as a collector. Stuff was terrible. I may need to get it again just to see if my taste has changed or if it really is just that bad.

Honestly when we’re talking about jgp ultra male , afnan 9pm is the actual way to go , i have them both and let me tell you that for the exact precise same absolute scent , 9pm has a better performance believe it or not and that performance is nuclear 10+ hours easily no kidding . So i would get it instead

Totally safe blind buy and for 125 ML bottle can't go wrong. I've been debating for my next designer bottle if I'm going givenchy prive or Le Male Parfum. Would certainly say it's on another level than Ultra Male and easily top 10 designer fragrances readily available

The dreamer is too feminine in my opinion. The iris is overwhelming.

Any recommendations for a spring summer fragrance that can be worn in clubs? I really like YSL L'homme and YSL Bleu electrique. I would like a similar fragrance like the ones mentioned, but with better projection and performance (clubbing).I looked at YSL Y EDP and intense, Valenino Uomo Born in Rome and Brioni edp intense. I just received Brioni edp intense, but it's not what i expected. Would really appreciate some recommendations :)
Just get eros edt and you'll be all set. May not be new but still works regardless
my go to for going out to a pub depends on the season, if warm it's usually adg profumo or ysl y le parfum.
colder weather i usually opt for valentino uomo intense or tom ford noir extreme as all last a solid 6 hours and project except the tom ford but the girlfriend loves it so have to wear it quite a bit more than what i want to 😂
Not a rec, but I just tried the most ridiculous but awesome clubbing combo, (I got the 10ml sizes) of ATH Hard Candy and Hard Candy Elixir. They’re meant to be worn together and they are insane. If I was still clubbing and I wanted to go nuclear, that is what I’d wear 😂. My down to earth rec would be Azzaro the Most Wanted.

Batch code for my Dior Intense is 4U02. July 2014. 100ml bottle is half full. Special occasions only. One of the advantages of having a 100 plus collection. I have discontinued scents and desirable batches
I have a 2013 polo red that in a million years nobody would guess was polo red it smells so niche. It’s macerated into a really deep warm spicy smell and has lost all of its aromatic and bright components. Wore it when i went shopping so I could compare it to a fresh bottle and it was nothing alike. Seems like the best ingredients get prioritized in early batches
Great list here Ash . . . . . apart from one. I'm in my 50's and have been enjoying classic fragrances for over 30 years but Sauvage Elixir is just about the most foul smelling fragrance I have ever tried. How anyone could like this is incomprehensible in my opinion. The three figure price tag is laughable!

I had the Dreamer as my first fragrance as a collector. Stuff was terrible. I may need to get it again just to see if my taste has changed or if it really is just that bad.

Honestly when we’re talking about jgp ultra male , afnan 9pm is the actual way to go , i have them both and let me tell you that for the exact precise same absolute scent , 9pm has a better performance believe it or not and that performance is nuclear 10+ hours easily no kidding .

@@DiskoKDiskoL It's really nice. Safe blind buy in my humble opinion. I have the Eau de Toilette version and have owned Ultra Male. Ive smelt the parfum version and love it. Totally safe blind buy and for 125 ML bottle can't go wrong. I've been debating for my next designer bottle if I'm going givenchy prive or Le Male Parfum. Would certainly say it's on another level than Ultra Male and easily top 10 designer fragrances readily available
