For our very first live show at PodCon 2, we were joined by Elah Feder, the co-host and producer of the podcast Undiscovered! Podcasting on a stage with a live audience meant we really had to bring our A-game, so we swapped stories of famous actors, politicians, and other celebrities who also dabbled in science.

It's nice being reminded of some of the classic episodes. I always forget how funny this podcast has always been since the start!

I did a little more research because I was curious, and I think the Marman clamp got kind of undersold there. They're key components of stage separation on tons of spacecrafts, first used in the Saturn V and the Space Shuttle. So in a small but very real way, Zeppo Marx contributed to people landing on the Moon, the International Space Station, and the Hubble Space Telescope. (Other stage separation mechanisms are probably inspired by it too, because why reinvent the wheel, so probably even more things, but those three accomplishments all certainly used Marman clamps.)
