this is art. people seem to think recorded music, non-avant gadre, is placed on it's own philosophical platform below other art. this is just as beautiful and masterful as any Michelangelo, as clean as any minimalism, as introspective as any modern, and as expressive and epic as any symphony.
really. i never expected these track to be my favorite from their live performance. when that first chord of love like a sunset plays i felt a chill from my spine to my fingertips
favorite off the album. this song reminds me of when I used to be a teenager running around my neighborhood. the build up is immaculate, & created a sense of urgency within me to get moving (that I can’t quite explain.) in my own world kind of feeling. stuck in time, even if I was in motion.
It's amazing that their description of the imagery they put into the song is exactly what I was picturing in my mind since I first heard it. I don't really go to live shows, but Phoenix is one band I'd be willing to pay to see.
Amazing song. Usually I don't like really long instrumental songs, but this one is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. The words at the end, love them. I really like phoenix's words. When you experience them, it makes you a lot.
Found this song sometime early last year and I love playing it right when we wake up in the morning. Good vibes, great music. I heard it for the first time in a movie I think was called (somewhere). I thought the sound that it begins with was a high performance car engine Recorded and played on the keyboard. It really does sound that way to me. Thank you for creating and sharing a great song. My kids love it too.
Super
This track has slight elements of a tangerine dream song... Maybe 'love on a real train' mixed with like Radiohead and Kraftwork- But Phoenix on thier own are outstanding. Of course- ✌🏻
these guys are pure poetry.
