- This after effects tutorial shows you how to accomplish an advanced, realistic sky replacement effect in your videos using 3d tracking and blending.

Question:
if you already created a "hole" (the black part) in the first layer of the city, so in the black part you see the layer beneath it, the sky, you done!
why do you need the last layer?
in any case you wont see it cause the sky is above it
Hey man, you’re welcome - it essentially just covers any flaws in the key to make sure the effect comes out clean as possible
How did you do sky removal on a video that has objects like building having same color to sky. I had tried using photoshop blendif and ae extract effect, but the result is it is removing the parts of the objects as well
Having some issues with the KEY CLEANER. Whenever I try to add that Fx After effects keeps on crashing!
this is a great tutorial like i love it! one thing tho, when i 3d track the footage my "Create Camera" button is still grayed out. Any solutions?
Hmmm, this sounds like a logistic error to me or just a bug within adobe. Maybe restarting the software will help bc that’s what I did to fix this same issue in the past. If not, try selecting the clip or the 3d tracker effect to see if that changes it. Other than that, I wouldn’t know unfortunately

Some footage can’t be 3D tracked, especially if there’s a lot of fast motion or jerkiness within the shot

You can either film the sky (or anything that you want to replace your original sky) or you can download a stock sky clip off RUclips or a paid stock footage website

When my Track Camera is done, the Create Camera cannot be activated.. why ????
U have to click 3D on your layer that u want to stand still
I have had this same issue a couple times in the past actually and it was just a bug within the software for me. Restarting AE fixed it on my end
my 3d doesnt work... i press the cube thing and then my clip of the clouds disappear and when i press to off the cube the clouds clip come back, i did the 3d cam and it all worked unntil the cube thing, what do i do???? please help.....???
It’s most likely being placed somewhere in 3D space that you can’t see it, I’d try scaling up the 3D cloud layer to see if it starts to become visible, and mess around with the position property to see if you can find it
