I like that John used Olgrun’s ring to defeat him and save the world while Shirley and a construct of Ellie worked together to defeat the Star Shroud long before Jon was able to use Olgrun’s ring to save Shirley by helping her and transforming her into a construct. Overall, this is a great comic and a great conclusion to this maxiseries. I hope we get to see John, Ellie, and Shirley in upcoming Green Lantern books very soon.

While Kyle will always be my fave GL, John Stewart comes in at a clise second. This series was really good and I hope both the writer and artist continue to get assignments from DC. Like you, I do think John's inability to let go of bith his mother and sister will ultimately lead to tragedy.
He also dealt with the ultraviolet ring so it won't be his first time dealing with an evil\twisted ring. If he does go evil and possessed by this old deity, it may feel like Hal Jordan Parallax all over again but at least this time we know about the dark influence. I can see the much higher powers insisting that Stewart gets rid of the ring in some way. One possible way is to toss it at the Source Wall if that still exists.
the amazos managed even to steal the powers of the spectre... that one amazo could trick john steward and touch him. and then it would be over. an amazo would become the host of olgrin XD would like to see something like that in an else world story.
No, the Amazos didn't steal Spectre's power. From the explanation, Waller did something that made it impossible for the Spectre to manifest in Jim Corrigan. She did things that made it impossible for magicians to cast spells not steal their magic. They absorbed certain energies and just blocked others. Tbh, it wasn't really explained well bcuz how exactly do you steal an Atlanteans ability to survive underwater when that's not a superpower for them. Same with Martians. It can be explained how you steal Kryptonian powers bcuz they're powered by thr yellow sun but Martians and Atlanteans aren't powered by an external source. That's their biology. But to think about it too much would ruin the story lol

I missed that. but honestly, i still dont get it. all ur examples do a great job of convincing me to look in a different direction. but... did i not see the amazo use magic to shild himself from harm? and how do they steal the access to the speedforce, the star heart and the emotional sprectrum? and does the superm-amazo need yellow sunlight? and how does superman absorb more energie from the sun then the amount that is hitting his body? is superman secretly also a magic being?
