Yes! in Mainland China, we say 地铁（dì tiě ）as subway, I remember when I first heard 捷运 this word was when I was watching 康熙来了(kāng xī lái le) this awesome Taiwanese entertainment show, 谢依霖（xiè yī lín）,a Taiwanese reality entertainer/actress mentioned it. And before that, I always thought 捷运 is a bus or something lol. And in 2017, I traveled to Taipei City and experienced the 捷运 myself，I was quite impressed by people's good manner and self-discipline of not eating and drinking at all. And nobody would take the pregnancy or senior seats. That's what we need to do in Mainland as well. I am not trying to shade my home country, it's just we gotta admit truth and learn from good things and be open about it;) Anyway, in Mainland China and Taiwan, the word choices are somehow different in many cases, not only between 地铁 and 捷运。 I'm inspired to make a Chinese teaching video about different word choices between Mainland and Taiwan for my next teaching episode, thanks for the vid again!
