Rigg isn't good because of his goal against 'Boro (especially given that Jobe was seen by many as the Man of the Match - See SAFC's Jobe - All the touches video or the game analysis by 'AltEnding'), Rigg is good because since his first senior start (aged 15) he has shown a consistent high level of performance whether it be his runs, his one touch give and goes, his interplay with Roberts and Hume, and plenty more. Go back a couple of weeks and watch the game against Sheffield Wednesday when he exhibited all the mentioned plays and still had time to boss and neutralise Barry Bannan for the full 90 minutes. The fear is that if England does come calling, the attributes that set him aside will be coached out of him while wearing the country's shirt. England aren't a high press. high energy team.

Makes no sense to tip Corberan's departure mid season unless You have a specific team with interest already in mind. The amount of damage him leaving would do to the baggies far exceeds any benefit any team would get from him in the short term. In the summer b4 next season sure, he probably gets snatched away. But a manager needs that preseason for him to make a significant difference.

Championship? Chris Rigg is the best youngster in the country. I'm yet to see him make a mistake. On the ball, off the ball. The boy is fluid.

Corberan has started to build his own squad with the right players & that doesn't mean a club has to spend millions in doing so. Also why would Carlos go elsewhere & wait another 2 seasons to build his own squad again & with PSR & FFP it's extremely hard to be able to buy so many players as West Brom did during the window. Carlos is already over 2 seasons into his project & it makes no sense him leaving.
Another thing with the likes of Southgate, Potter & Moyes all out of work & free to hire would a club pay at least £4m to get Carlos out of Albion? Now I'm not saying that we won't lose for 1 reason & that is it's the championship & everyone loses games like Luton did against Plymouth.
Now if one of the top 4 teams in England sniffed around he may be tempted or possibly Spain but a bottom 8 prem team I doubt it.

Boys, Chris Rigg is old compared to what we have coming through at Ewood. Watch this space, Igor Tyjon is gonna be massive! And he is 16 and already played for Rovers as our third youngest player. Well done Igor! We signed him from Rochdale. Watch this space!

Apart from leeds, there arent many teams with depth of squad really to use it as an argument. Just watched luton lose to Plymouth 3-1 and they definitely dont have that depth. One could say they missed out on a couple of signings to even have the required xi to launch a campaign for a promotion. Burnley have created very little so far and they have a negative number, -0,8 in the combined xG and xG against (xGD) table. Leeds top the league with a respectable +7,5 xGD.
That's barely winning games from Burnley; Being efficient, or lucky, compared to +5,2 of wba and Sunderland 4,1 + xGD respectively after 6 rounds. Sunderland has also had a tough schedule so far, and yet they are winning games comfortably on the eye test, just like WBA have done. Don't see any depth in quality anywhere, and the promotion race this season might come down to injuries.

jobe isn't quick across the ground, he's not cart horse slow, just a bit frankie lampard. it's no coincidence that jobe's form has taken an up tick as he's got deeper in the team, where his pace is, in many respects, covered up and accounted for. looks like he's going to be a top player though, something's he does, and he's doing them more often now, are amaze balls.

    • @johnfurness2346

He doesnt need electric pace, the number of times I see him just turn and leave multiple players is an amazing skill to have, and he does it all the time, very good footballer, if he had pace, that would be scary
