Great video as always 👍🏼. Watching this makes me appreciate my LG V60 that much more, i would love to see a updated video on the LG V60 on the channel by the way. Keep up the good work.
Bought one as soon as I heard about them to replace my BTR5. The 7 is insane, I think I even dropped the gain from high to low, still loud, more clean.
Bro! U r the reason I got into all LG phones (v20, v30, v40) when they existed and I got the btr3 and btr5 as well. Ur reviews helped a lot at those times. I have seen like a ton of reviews over the past month for building my audio setup and man those reviews are confusing. Too many jargons and words that don’t really mean much. I stumbled on this video and ur channel after like 4-5 years and man I am glad. I am building my setup around the iPhone 15 plus and Apple Lossless audio and I finalised on hd600 which I just received today and now I am buying the btr7 because of this video! Thanks mate u r awesome! Keep up the good work ✌️
I have heard BTR7 and I can say that I'm quite impressed by what I heard. I haven't tried both outputs (maybe until I get myself one, this is out of stock where I lived), but the balanced do output a clean sound and I probably like it more than my current daily driver, Ifi Go Blu. Anyway, the balanced in this kind of product usually do sound slightly different than the single-ended, even at the same loudness. Even if your headphone/iem doesn't need the power from the balanced output, it's always worth a try to hear the differences and sometimes you might like the balanced output more.
Just bought a btr7 and using it wired from a Samsung phone with Tidal into HD 600 headphones. On high gain I'm having the volume between 21 to 26 out of 60, depending on the recording. I don't listen overly loud. The btr7 battery lasted for about 3 hours and sounds excellent. I like this combo better overall than the RME adi-2 dac and LCD-3F headphones I had previously.
Its an absolute pleasure using this. This can drive the Sundara in balanced mode... No problem. The f***ng Sundara. I wasn't very happy with my Atom stack which was driving Sundara, but this thimble sized badass is driving it like a champ...
iBrasso DC03 is an amazing little piece of kit for smartphones also ! i absolutley love it and it just works, and i know exactly whhat you mean regearding the " up a little " and expeiencing not just volume but depth ! Deeeelicious
Thank you for this review. I am also sad that LG is out of smartphone market nevertheless I am very satisfied with 5 good years of using LG V30 as my smartphone and DAP altogether. It worked flawlessly with Mee Audio Pinnacle P1 (50 Ohm). Currently I upgraded phone to S22 Ultra but I am lacking of some good DAC + DAP combo with bluetooth capabilities. I am also an early adopter of FiiO products! I bought my first X3 in 2013 when almost nobody heard about FiiO, then I had X3II X5, UTWS.. I like the company, their products and the sound their devices create so I think about buying FiiO BTR5 or BTR7, but I dont know if BTR7 is worth to pay more. Is BTR7 much better than LG V30? Is BTR5 as good as V30 or better? How do they compare? Cheers, Pawel
I too am morning the loss of LG. I had been using my old G7 as a DAP. Sadly, the battery life has become shorter than what I need to get me through a cross country plane flight. I have am now using a Qudelix 5k. If you like using EQ, it's the way to go. It's got no problem powering my 80 ohm DT 770s. And even gets my modded Fostex T-20 as loud as I need. It does all the CODEX and it's light enough to clip to my collar or shirt pocket to use the mic for phone calls.
Hi, love this video. How does this compare with things like the Ifi Gryphon? And i may have missed this but can you charge and listen at the same time?
As a og btr5 user i am a bit envious. But with the stuff i run, i guess i am ok. Also juan check the moo drop quarks, they are a tenner (about 10 usd). And they are a awesome in ear style earbud and the mic in them is really good! I constantly get about how good their mic is.
I was shocked how loud the BTR7 is compared to the BTR5 I love my BTR5 but the BTR7 has replaced it. A 4.4mm cable on my SE846 really brought the best out in them stronger bass sound clearer
Excellent review. I own Qudelix, Fiio Btr5 2021 and Hip dac. Fiio products are neutral with poor app control. I am planning to buy Ifi go blu. What's your recommendation IFi go blu or Btr7?
The lack of a clip or a lanyard hole is kind of a bummer for me. You either have to choose between using balanced and having no call capability or using the 3.5mm jack with an in-line mic while the device is in your pocket. Even then, I would actually prefer if there was a belt clip for it. It keeps my pockets lean. As much as I like the BTR7, I think I would stick to the BTR5 for now. At this level of audio gear, I start choosing more on other attributes like form-factor, use case and featureset.
Supposedly there is GOING to be a clip to buy separate, but it's so much bigger than the 5, I don't think anyone is looking to clip that to their shirt. The 5 is JUST at that size where it works for me on a button up.
ordered mine tonight, pairing with Shure SE 846 crazy how the regular consumer doesn't know about bluetooth amps and IEM's, they are far more articulate than airpods or beats earbuds
I don't really use my HiFiman headphones away from my office desk and even less given a personal preference for IEM's. On the go, I almost exclusively use IEM's. My favorite setups...for office and on-the-go...either my S12's paired to KZ AZ09 PRO bluetooth earhooks (modded for the B-pin), or my TKZK Waves with KZAZ09 Pro's (C-pin/QDC), or my KZ PR1 HiFi's with CCA BTX BT earhooks. The IEM's all have good sound isolation and the BT earhook's offer good call quality, too (CVC). For the planar's I lose about 15% battery life (5.5hrs down from 6.5 hours) by going into Power Mode (3 successive clicks to left earhook button on either AZ09 Pro or the BTX). Sometimes I switch-up to the BTR5 for its LDAC and usually cable this to either the S12's or Truthear Hexa's for music enjoyment. I use the FiiO BTA30Pro ($125; TX, RX, DAC modes) at the desk to transmit LDAC for the BTR5 or AptX for the BT earhooks. The BTA30Pro is a terrific device and I also use it as a DAC into my desktop vintage receiver w/bookshelf speakers. Although the BTR7 is a better unit and mouth watering...the BTR5 suits me just fine for my IEM needs.
Yeah, I miss LG 😞 So underrated. When they stop phones, the first thing that came to my mind was getting an LG, because I knew it would be the last of its kind. A very good and relatively cheap all in one music player. I still remember reviewers downplaying features that came out on LG first; just to rave about them on other phones later on. I still remember LG being one of the first makers to come out with a wide angle lens on phones. Some reviewers said it was a gimmick, but now every phone rocks one and even brags about it. Thank LG for being ahead of the curve.
Juan love the show brother. Would you believe , I still have my OG Jaybird BT earbuds? To me, they sounded the best of the 3. Battery still great. Also have a pair of Klipsch Neckband (Leather) N 6? I think ...was the name. Still works amazing. Also...If I still had the pair, of all the headphones via Bluetooth I've owned, aside from comfort , the Motorola original Motorola s 9?? They had amazing bass and all. Now I'm more into flat response like the Chinese AZN type. Love mine!!! They are wired. 22 bucks thanks to a vid you made in 2017 I think.
What happens if you plug a DJI Mic receiver into the USB port, and connect the audio jack to a video recording device (cam, or phone with a jack port)?
Can you make a video comparison the regular earbuds vs This kind of music technology because both of these is wireless and portable . this is the future of portable music did you agree with that
EDIT: It somehow magicly works. Just curious if i can use RUclips, Netflix, HBO.... With it. Currently only Tidal, and HiBy player works. ____________ Just got it, but the volume is extremely low while using the USB C from phone to BTR7, and 3.5mm to the headset. Max volume on BTR7, Phone, headset. Using headset built in Bluetooth, 2.4Ghz dongle, or 3.5mm to laptop is waaaaayyyy louder. Tried low gain, high gain, boost, but nothing works. I already updated the firmware, and restarted the BTR7 and Phone multiple times. It also is very low volume with Phone Bluetooth to BTR7 and then 3.5mm to headset. What could this be? Using Audeze Penrose if it matters, but like i said it's louder on the default headset connection ways.
The size is probably the deal breaker for me. The BTR5 is already kind of chonky for my use case. But FiiO makes great stuff. I just wish they didn't jack up the price needlessly by in cluding that scam MQA. You know they pay licensing for that trash, which the consumer gets to pay extra for. I do agree with the part that the amp is the important part, and usually the part that's lacking in both phones and even stuff like true wireless headphones. I mean you have to cram in a separate amplifier into each wireless bud, so you have very little space to work with. So many people confuse the bad sound they get with Bluetooth. Bluetooth LDAC or AptX HD sounds stellar - and a 320K MP3 is also fully transparent, basically no human can hear a difference between that or a FLAC. Hires, meanwhile, is basically again pure scam in my book, 44.1k/16 is more than plenty for human hearing.
OK curious why doesn’t the Apple cable that comes with my iPhone work with this dac? I do have the cable that came with the dac for the iPhone and it does work it’s just very short. Also, I’m just wondering I get this kind of metallic sensation from the FiiO DACs I’m doing something wrong is there a way to lesson that. One other thing the FiiO website does anybody know why it’s so slow and or if there’s another link for the firmware update because the website is almost impossible to access --so slow so very slow… the FiiO app says it’s updated, but the current firmware is V1.85 but I have 1.68.
Can someone please explain what the charging switch is for? I just charge the BTR7 and use it with my wired or wireless headphones. Why wouid you need a charging toggle?
With the increase output in single ended mode, it's now viable for my fidelio x2 hr's, that alone is worth the increase in price imo 🎧👍 And it's not for taking them outside in case anyone wants to comment on that, just wandering around home 🙃
Hey, I just returned ifi XDSD Gryphon because I thought it's not worth it's price also not much better than BTR5 so does BTR7 sound as good as gryphon and is it much better than BTR5 2021?
You need to review Tanchjim Zero, Moondrop Chu, or the Moondrop Dawn. They're killing it in the budget realm. I've seen the measurements of BTR7 and while it's too bad, it definitely isn't a market leader for it's price.
What are your thoughts on the dongles that have the Realtek ALC5686 in them? That chip is capable of 32/384 just like the Quad DAC and to me... sounds about similar
Yeah this thing looks great but if someone wants to spend about the same amount of money they could probably get a grade A refurbished v60! And all the benefits that has outside of audio. Unless you need a balanced connection. Very glad to see this on the market.
Lg v20, v30, v40 have slightly more output through 3.5 mm than v60... If you are used to the previous models you may not like v60. Note: v60 hasnt been tuned by meridian nor B&O
10:24 was that Brisco County?? If so, noice Also, obviously; super review: sometimes you need a specific set of tools, for a "specific set of skills" Also looks surprisingly pocketable
Did you find EQ only works in BT source? was testing it connected with iPhone and lightning adapter. Didn't hear any changes oddly. But do hear changes when connected in BT.
*Update* Found this in FAQ: - 12. Will EQ take effect in USB DAC mode? In UAC2.0 mode, EQ cannot be adjusted. While in Bluetooth and UAC1.0 mode, EQ can be adjusted. -- EQ is not supported in UAC 2.0 mode. In UAC 1.0 mode or Bluetooth mode, EQ is supported.
I am looking for something to brighten up my car stock speakers. I was mainly interested in the BTR7 then the m11 plus and q7 dsd512 caught my attention. Any suggestions which one would be best for my usage? Thanks
I’ve been using my Fiio BTR7 for almost a year now and I love it, it well suites my needs, i do wish it could run off usb power instead of always being on battery power, but after almost a year it hasn't caused an issue, I use it with Sennheiser IE900 In-ear headphones on the go and Beyer Dynamic DT1990 headphones at home, the sound is excellent
Question: Current setup: fiio f12 (NOT A DAC!) Beyerdynamic DT 1770 250 OHM I cant use my apple iphone I use my mac But I need the dac and would love BT possibility Should I keep the FIIO F12 + get a btr3 as dac? Or btr5 as dac and still use my f12 as amp or get the btr7?
Using the BTR5 with my Shure 846s with Fiio cable upgrade, balanced. Happy with the sound for portable audio but always want better of course. Debating on upgrading or just waiting until the 7 comes down in price.
It's been a long time since I have seen a review of you (used to watch (LG) mobile reviews but lost interest in mobiles) Extra power guaranties a good base on all drivers I think, it's not that I always want extra base but when I do want it to be there. P.s. they sell a lose case with clip, I was hoping the one that comes with it had one too.
I'm considering getting this or the V60 used. Both are very close to each other in price. Excluding the whole smartphone thing, and purely considering audio quality when using IEMs will BTR7 be better the V60?
I have had LG Phones for the longest time for their quad DACs I have used V70, G8, G8x ThinQ Switched to BTR5 and its miles better than those LG phones Those LG phones are great, better than any smartphone But the BTR5 is insaaane And then they say BTR7 is even better I would say skip the LG v60 and get this amp
Perhaps I've missed it but I can't exactly find an answer to my question. With the 7 or 5, can I use them to transmit audio to Bluetooth headphones? For example can I use it to transmit audio from my mixer to my Bluetooth headphones. I have audio coming out of my mixer and going out to my headphones and when I'm not doing any serious editing I would love to put down the reference headphones, go wireless and use something more to the size of like airpods or something
V60 owner here. I like the phone and love having the hp jack, but I gotta say.... I think there is something to those griping about the volume problem. No issues at all with my earbuds or full size cans when on calls, but when listening to music, I'm maxing out the volume on the Sennheiser pc38x. Volume wheel cranked and phone volume at or near max. It is just barely loud enough for normal or slightly above normal listening levels. Sound quality is excellent, but the volume headroom is disappointing. Anyway, it's why this new fiio had me curious especially because I'm wanting new headphones and want portable options that can power them.
Does the Bluetooth play nice with Apple products: iPhone 14 max pro, air pods pro, air max over ear? Due to an ear impairment mainly looking at the amp side for increased volume. I’ll mostly be using it with iPhone via BT.
I’ve yet to find buds that don’t hurt my stupid ears so BTR5 with any of my headphones works better. Besides, my Koss KPH30i sound so darn good. Now I’m gonna have to try the BTR7!
I have the BTR5 and the THX Onyx and the BTR5 is superior. Better clarity and separation. From what I've heard, the 7 is a bit better than the 5. Also the Onyx drains your phone battery pretty quick. The BTRs have their own battery and last for hours and can be recharged with your phone battery, if needed; like having a mini portable battery pack.
It mostly depends on what you think you'll need most. Cabled playback, the THX is just easier plug and play. If you want balanced on a platform that offers cabled or wireless, the Fiio is TOUGH to beat.
I've been looking into the BTR5 for my first set of IEMs (KZ ZS10 Pros). I like that it's probable with a belt clip. I only just discovered the BTR7 secured, she now I'm torn. It's $300 AUD vs $200 for the BTR5. I'd mostly use for music while walking, and for my PC gaming, and TV for movies. It'd be great if they had factored in a better way to carry the BTR7, like a clip or case. P.S. What finding phone is that at 10:22?
i had the BTR5 but just ordered the BTR7 from addicted to audio in Melbourne, i use it for movies and PC gaming on my OLED and from what i've heard the BTR7 has more bass and depth which will be better for movies and gaming
I have the KZ ZS10 pro's. I don't go above 33 volume on the btr5. So if you don't plan on using like MASSIVE power hungry headphones then the BTR5 is fantastic and plenty. It's clean, it's clear and it's powerful. If you get into EQ on your devices (Wavelet or Poweramp for android) (Equalizer APO for Windows) (EasyEffects for Linux/SteamOS) it will blow your mind.
I was eyeing the BTR5s as a potential wireless accompaniment for my usual THX Onyx dongle DAC I’ve been using lately to drive my Sundara but seeing this and now I’m not so sure if I should go that or go with the BTR7s now 😅
If you don't mind spending a little extra the BTR7 is worth it. But I promise you, you won't be regretting the BTR5 if you chose to have a lower budget.
@@SomeGadgetGuy Hoping you can help me, I am new to all this audio stuff, but got the THX onyx recently and it blew my mind how much of a difference a dac/amp makes, music has changed forever! The thing I am finding difficult is comparing stats more specifically power output to drive headphones, different spec reporting. Now that I have been hooked, I am planning to eventually get decent headphones like the beyerdynamics DT Pro series and was wondering THX Onyx vs BTR7 power, would there be a benefit getting the BTR7 from that perspective? I am not too fused about the Bluetooth, as realistically there are still wires involved. Also itching to get another dac/amp, don't ask.. But from power perspective IFI go blue vs BTR7, go blue is so much more compact?
Tried X5iii, BTR3 and Q5. If given the choice I would go with portability over audio quality. The Q5 is just too chunky. And X5iii as a PAP is just an extra device with worse hardware and outdated Android. So BTR or UTWS it is for me.
Btr5 owner since original, now a btr7 owner. The headroom is what makes this dollar for dollar a killer. For my music EDM, fusion, world this just made the btr5 sound dull. Best 240 Canadian I've spent. Definitely need a CLIP case... Goddam fiio.
Hi, sir. I pair BTR7 with Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless with the supplied 3.5mm cable. At 40/60, there is not enough sound, compared to wireless mode. At 54/60, there is enough sound but everything sound harsh and broken. The impedance in active and passive mode are 460 ohms and 60 ohms respectively. Here are my questions: 1) Why do I need to turn the volume up to 54 for 60 ohms headphone? I try every other usb dac, I have to turn the volume to max. 2) Why it sounds harsh, with just enough db? There are no such problems with wireless mode-both the volume and harsh sound Thx🙏🏻
Great video as always 👍🏼. Watching this makes me appreciate my LG V60 that much more, i would love to see a updated video on the LG V60 on the channel by the way. Keep up the good work.
same here!

One of the best selling points: it seems to be future-proof.
Especially for us older folks. Possibly more future-proof than we are.

Enjoying the convenience of my EarStudio es100. Will take a listen of these if it conks out.
Can anyone help me recommend a pair of iems for all around listing ?? I am sensitive to shrill notes due to some hearing damage.
The btr5 used to have a bug where you couldn't use EQ with ldac. Is the bug fixed with the btr7?
if connected to an android phone via usb does playback cease when a call is received and does the mic kick in to enable on the fly conversation?
EDIT: It somehow magicly works.
Just curious if i can use RUclips, Netflix, HBO.... With it.
Currently only Tidal, and HiBy player works.

If use usb to phone, can u use TWS ? Did order Btr7 and IEM Z12 but also own Momentum tw3.
I used Fiio since their first headphone amp, and currently use BTR1K ,the downside is poor battery life. 9 hours in not enough.
I have fiio fh5s pro and fiio q3 im using it on my pc only, can i blind buy Fiio BTR7? there will be "wow factor"? "damn ! thats a nice difference" ?
So my 3.5 head and earphones will sound better on the btrk7 than my btrk3 ? ? ?
Can someone please explain what the charging switch is for? I just charge the BTR7 and use it with my wired or wireless headphones. Why wouid you need a charging toggle?
Hey juan. Any update on the btr5 and q3 replacement?
I still use my K3. Dont need Bluetooth but if ITS in why not. Is this New one an Upgrade Soundwise???
With the increase output in single ended mode, it's now viable for my fidelio x2 hr's, that alone is worth the increase in price imo 🎧👍
And it's not for taking them outside in case anyone wants to comment on that, just wandering around home 🙃

Asus ROG Phone 5s Pro has ESS Sabre Pro Quad DAC integrated on their Audio Jack . The reason why i bought it lmao , LG wasn’t the only one got it !
The Dawn is a USB-only adapter-style DAC, it's not even in the same product category as the BRT7. And the other two are earbuds WTF?
@@gospelofrye6881 lol
It's polite to ask rather than to demand.
And if this product isn't a market leader, what is...?
do these really give you a better cleaner, crisper sound?
Ive got the audio technica ath-r70x headphones is the btr7 good with it?
In my area, BTR7 has the same price as ifi Go Blu. Would you recommend this over the Go Blu? Any thoughts anyone? Thanks in advance!
What are your thoughts on the dongles that have the Realtek ALC5686 in them? That chip is capable of 32/384 just like the Quad DAC and to me... sounds about similar
realtek is capable if they want to, just like fiio and edifier
Yeah this thing looks great but if someone wants to spend about the same amount of money they could probably get a grade A refurbished v60! And all the benefits that has outside of audio. Unless you need a balanced connection. Very glad to see this on the market.
Why do you think I threw in the LG comment at the end LOL
@@SomeGadgetGuy Its crazy how some of the remaining NEW LG V60s on Swappa are around $300.00. That's the price of a cheap midranger!
I'm currently using a refurbed V60 after replacing my refurbed V50. All thanks to Juan 😅
Lg v20, v30, v40 have slightly more output through 3.5 mm than v60...
If you are used to the previous models you may not like v60.
Note: v60 hasnt been tuned by meridian nor B&O
@@aatishr9908 oooooh, didn't get to try those tho
10:24 was that Brisco County??
If so, noice
Also, obviously; super review: sometimes you need a specific set of tools, for a "specific set of skills"
Also looks surprisingly pocketable
Did you find EQ only works in BT source? was testing it connected with iPhone and lightning adapter. Didn't hear any changes oddly. But do hear changes when connected in BT.
*Update* Found this in FAQ:
Thanks
did you end up getting anything? im in the same situation
I ended up upgrading the entire system.
Hello man I just read your comments I would like to know do you have enough power for the DT 1990 Pro
Because I would like to buy this amplifier BTR 7 and I'm a little bit curious if it's half enough powerful for the DT 1990
The BTR7 is rated for 300ohms, DT1990 Is 250ohms, BTR 7 has enough power and sounds amazing
@@kristiandawe85 thx
does a sub$20 IEM really want a BTR3K to drive it with a sifnificant change in output? ty
How about a link to the updated btrk5 . . .
Question:
Current setup:
fiio f12 (NOT A DAC!)
Beyerdynamic DT 1770 250 OHM
I cant use my apple iphone
I use my mac
But I need the dac and would love BT possibility
Should I keep the FIIO F12 + get a btr3 as dac? Or btr5 as dac and still use my f12 as amp or get the btr7?
Please do a review of the NextDrive Spectra X!
Using the BTR5 with my Shure 846s with Fiio cable upgrade, balanced. Happy with the sound for portable audio but always want better of course. Debating on upgrading or just waiting until the 7 comes down in price.
I was in the same situation, pull the trigger you will be absolutely happy you did.
What about Audio Technica MSR7b plus BTR7 vs BTR52021 ?
A quick question
Is this gonna give me more volume on iPhone? As the max volume on iPhone is way LOW!!!
It's been a long time since I have seen a review of you (used to watch (LG) mobile reviews but lost interest in mobiles)
Extra power guaranties a good base on all drivers I think, it's not that I always want extra base but when I do want it to be there.
P.s. they sell a lose case with clip, I was hoping the one that comes with it had one too.
I need that clip case. The soft case is useless...
I'm considering getting this or the V60 used. Both are very close to each other in price. Excluding the whole smartphone thing, and purely considering audio quality when using IEMs will BTR7 be better the V60?
I have had LG Phones for the longest time for their quad DACs
I have used V70, G8, G8x ThinQ
Switched to BTR5 and its miles better than those LG phones
Those LG phones are great, better than any smartphone
But the BTR5 is insaaane
And then they say BTR7 is even better
I would say skip the LG v60 and get this amp
@@rishkum536 I actually bought both 😄. The BTR7 is definitely better than the V60 and also the BTR5 (older model) I had before.
This thing is so good it beats the headphone out of my Lynx Hilo which is a $4000 reference DAC. Tested on Hifiman Arya Stealth.
No not to bluetooth headphones it only uses the 3.5mm 2.5mm or 4.4mm jack it won't output to Bluetooth headphones
Is the Quad DAC turned on? i can listen to high impedance headphones at ear piercing volume.
You should trick the lgv60 to high impedance mode to see how it sounds
Can that be used in the car ?
Does the Bluetooth play nice with Apple products: iPhone 14 max pro, air pods pro, air max over ear? Due to an ear impairment mainly looking at the amp side for increased volume. I’ll mostly be using it with iPhone via BT.
You won't get the better codecs for wireless hi-res, but the amp should perform the same.
Btr7 and performers 5 can’t complain best portable dac.
Ugh. I'm using a qudelix 5k and I'm happy but I'm really wanting a 4.4 balanced port. This video is making me open my waller more.
LOL I know. The gear acquisition syndrome is real.
I’ve yet to find buds that don’t hurt my stupid ears so BTR5 with any of my headphones works better. Besides, my Koss KPH30i sound so darn good. Now I’m gonna have to try the BTR7!
What does "balanced" mean when headphones say they use balanced connection
Will this one work as a tabletop?
Considering only the sound quality out of the box, which is better, the BTR7 or THX Onyx? Also love He-man too!
@@drakebrown762 nice! Thanks for that. The BTR7 has compatibility with more devices too. So I'm happy it has better sound quality.
Hope have comparison BTR7 vs BTR15
BTR7 vs Onyx? Which one you prefer and why? I'm trying to decide between both of them.
Wait so the 3.5 jack is trrs??
Does rog phone 6 has the ess dac?
ibasso dc06? fiio ka3? IFI dac 2?
FiiO have confirmed they are working on a case with a clip for the BTR7.
Thank goodness for that.
I was eyeing the BTR5s as a potential wireless accompaniment for my usual THX Onyx dongle DAC I’ve been using lately to drive my Sundara but seeing this and now I’m not so sure if I should go that or go with the BTR7s now 😅
It's a GOOD problem to have 😁
If you don't mind spending a little extra the BTR7 is worth it.
What is the name of the ear buds you're holding on minutes 3:21?
audeze euclid
Tried X5iii, BTR3 and Q5. If given the choice I would go with portability over audio quality. The Q5 is just too chunky. And X5iii as a PAP is just an extra device with worse hardware and outdated Android. So BTR or UTWS it is for me.
I miss LG ..I just can't keep one cos I'm enjoying android 13 and used to the interface can't go back
Will it handle 300 ohms
Btr5 owner since original, now a btr7 owner.
The headroom is what makes this dollar for dollar a killer.
For my music EDM, fusion, world this just made the btr5 sound dull.
Best 240 Canadian I've spent.
Definitely need a CLIP case... Goddam fiio.
RIGHT! That included case is pants on head bad...
The biggest upgrade in the portable space is a new IEM, which an Apple dongle will drive well if you have an iPhone.
is it better than ifi go bar
What About My BTRK3
I haven't upgraded to the BTR7...It would be nice if the included case had a clip.. Luck of the draw I know a Leather Worker!
It really is kind of silly. I'm glad there IS a case, but it's sort of useless.
Here are my questions:
1) Why do I need to turn the volume up to 54 for 60 ohms headphone? I try every other usb dac, I have to turn the volume to max.
2) Why it sounds harsh, with just enough db?
There are no such problems with wireless mode-both the volume and harsh sound
Thx🙏🏻
Can LDAC be used in iPhone with this DAC?
No ios does not support Ldac
What should i get if i have an iPhone and iem headphones? 😢
Something with a good amp. Unfortunately iphones don't support any of the fancy BT codecs.
By the power of Grey Skull... I HAVE THE POWER!!! Do-do-duh-do-da-doo...
What about the A&K mobile DACs?
I haven't listened on their dongle DAC nearly as much as some other solutions but I liked it. Also a bit spendy, but really good.
