At 58 now when I was a kid the pieces were large and finger licking good! Now they are overpriced and greasy and don’t taste anything like 45 years ago. Sorry Yum brands but that’s just my opinion since the video asked.
There's no secret about it, heavy on the MSG. The chickens are not fed corn and soy, just cheap processed grains. Stret vendors in Asia serve the best fried chicken and put KFC to shame.
Watch from 13:12 till 13:25 if you think you are Cool and calm. I bet it will make you crazy.. If it didn't...then you deserve an award for the most peaceful human being.
This is an advertisement, rather than an actual documentary. Do prefer making my own, or, if I'm lazy, I'll buy the old classic frozen Banquet box of fried chicken. Trust me, you're not missing anything by not eating at Kentucky Fried Chicken. 🍗
I agree with you 100% since it was sold out to PepsiCo. They have ruined Kentucky fried chicken, cheap ingredients, smaller pieces, list of everything and it taste like crap.😊
didnt they use the slogan "nobody does it better" back in the day ? its funny how in the video they show the already fried chicken wing with 3 feathers still on it. look at 11:50 in the video
Thanks, am hungry as you have no idea, haven’t been able to leave the office, there will be no lunch time for me today and this video looks so damn delicious 😢
The prep process clearly happens at some sort of central kitchen. What I didn't see in this video is how prefried chicken is transported to locations that don't fry on-site because they're in too small a place like say a food court. I assume heated trucks are involved?
☝🏻Precooked and flash frozen then cooked like you would at home in ovens or air fryers or standard fryers that work for fries...I'm a commercial kitchen design consultant for larger restaurants 👍🏻
Its strange that like here in Kenya the prices are waaaay lower than in the US ..... Here in Kenya you can get a full meal for 7 bucks, and the food is all natural .... no GMO product 😀
Captivating topic! It's great to get a behind-the-scenes look at this iconic dish. What do you think makes their cooking process stand out compared to other fried chicken methods?
where I live Costco, kfc, swiss chalet, national grocer and Mary browns,GFS,sysco all get their chicken from the same processing plant, what's even more funny is the halal chicken at Costco and the non halal chicken that sysco gets probably came from the same barn lol
After not eating there for many, many years because the food got incredibly greasy, I decided to try them again. I got reminded real quick why I quit going. I ordered a 3 pc all white meal. I got a thigh and 2 very small wings. Took it back. They screwed it up again. How hard is It to identify chicken parts? Drums, thighs, breasts, wings. Then when they finally got the chicken right, I see they also changed the potatoes and gravy recipe..now nor good. Coleslaw was ok and biscuits got really small. Major disappointment. I will never go there again
If they show the real barn, you'll see that they are packed into those barns much tighter. They never see sunlight or get to run around in the grass. The real barns go thru 3 cycles of chickens before the litter is changed. Then, on to the slaghter house, usually stacked in crates on a tractor trailer, which suck if it's hot or cold outside. And, when they get to that "place" they all know what's coming...They have emotions. They feel pain. They can do tricks. Try plant-based.
Lived 5 years in Iceland, lived and worked in Reykjavík, I am Danish so for me, it wasn't a huge culture difference, but it sure was for the amazing Nature and wildlife., sadly it's very expensive living there. I especially loved to go to "sund" in the evening and enjoy the hot pools outside while snow was falling down...OMG, I have so many good memories from my time there. Hope to go back again soon, One of the thing I remember from a month-long visit to Germany a few years ago was how I was able to find some really, fantastic deals on food at the grocery story. Usually it was stuff that simply had to be sold that day or thrown away, and it was marked down considerably. If you wanted to, you could simply walk to the grocery store every day, buy whatever was on sale, and just make a day's worth of meals out of that.
WHATEVER HAPPENED TO KFC ORIGINAL FRIED CHICKEN>>> TENDERNESS, TASTE VERY YUMMY TODAY'S LIKE VERY ORDINARY SOLD BY ANY EATERY. KFC FAMED NO LONGER IN THE TASTE>>> YAKKY.... WHERE ARE THE KFC ORIGINAL RECIPE... PLEASE BRING IT BACK,,,,, THE YUMMY TASTE
It taste like cardboard. The spices dont exsist anymore. Remember the great taste in the 80’s. But profit is more import at than taste. No more kfc for me.
I love how you structured the content in this video. Everything follows a logical order and is easy to understand. Not only did I learn a lot, but it was also a pleasure to watch the detailed explanations
KFC is literally at the worse the franchise has ever been, they changed the recipe, the portions are utterly minuscule and the prices are outrageous ,Colonel Sanders regretted ever selling it and i understand why.
I as a 55 year old, used to love KFC,but after the "BIG DOG'S",got in it is now the worst food ever,if i can give any advice don't even bother, crap, and if the staff even speak English they are the rudest people i ever met.
Sorry but the KFC is no more It died many years ago Today it's now just salt msg and black pepper. Verified by random independent test labs in the usa Maybe it's still ok outside of the USA, but it's garbage here
Love this chicken but goodness it's starting to cost an arm an an leg and what's up with the little pieces like the birds are melnurished skinny pieces not meaty
Nothing taste like it use to be. Buy your food at a real farmer. Cook it yourself. It will taste better and is healthy. The Soil, the air and even the sun is being spoiled with.
It's absolutely ridiculous garbage. I'm 61 years old and Kentucky fried chicken has been my favorite for forty years or so and I've been around long enough that a twenty piece bucket used to be half white meat and nice and greasy awesome perfect. Now I won't go there anymore because now a 20 piece bucket is just wings and legs and I can do that at home for 8 bucks and not 40 bucks not worth the effort and time to drive 20 minutes to get garbage right.
An that's what I mean cost an arm an leg but I'm keeping both an letting go of that skinny bird its expensive an not enough meat on them pieces thank u.
after seeing all the hands umm and knowing how lazy people i have worked with are i would way way way prefer robots right :) just think yuck and thats mostly because its mass production like street venders and restaurants are different as the employees care about the company more i would think
At 58 now when I was a kid the pieces were large and finger licking good! Now they are overpriced and greasy and don’t taste anything like 45 years ago. Sorry Yum brands but that’s just my opinion since the video asked.

I don't go to KFC anymore as the prices are too high. I eat at home!
Homemade chicken is the best 😋
I only go if I have a coupon
Crazy high,.
They got one good deal. 4 pieces of chicken 2 sides and 2 biscuits for $10
The $5 lunch specials are good value
Thats disgusting listening and watching someone eat chicken really close up. 🤮
So delicious yet not knowing how to appreciate it.
There's no secret about it, heavy on the MSG.
The chickens are not fed corn and soy, just cheap processed grains.
Stret vendors in Asia serve the best fried chicken and put KFC to shame.
☝🏻The ONLY thing decent left at KFC is MAINLY the coleslaw first followed by the mashed potatoes and gravy🤷🏻♀️
Watch from 13:12 till 13:25 if you think you are Cool and calm.
I bet it will make you crazy..
If it didn't...then you deserve an award for the most peaceful human being.
