A true reflection of what the Camino is. I walked it with my wife 2 years ago. A great experience to build a new family in a beautiful landscape, historical places, with good food in an extreme spiritual mood. Most people we met had the same question: what to do with the rest of their lives! People were great. One of the lessons we all learned: No Camino without pain. Harry Lakeman
They made a good choice with the pilgrims, showing the way from perspective of people of different ages and backgrounds. I walked the Camino three times, and next year will likely be back again. This time on Via de la Plata :). Anyone hesitating, just go! You won't regret it.
Be ready for something different. Fascinating, something that can kill you in the middle of summer. I went through my first stage this year ... despite the fact that I love long distances each blister has a big influence whether you get to the next village. After all, July is perfect for me. In 2017 again setting off on VdLP this time from Cañaveral
wow what a beautiful journey to the answers of life... wish I had the opportunity to take my family on the path. probably never will get the chance. but for all those who have, cudos to u.
Those boots at the beginning are mountaineering boots, overkill for the El Camino and will give blisters to a lot of people. I wear trail running shoes even backpacking here in Northern California-no blisters. I am Catholic and plan to do St Jean to Finisterre April/May 2016 for religious reasons.
I have walked the Frances and Portugues Camino's multiple times. Overall I liked this movie. A couple of the pilgrims on it I found a bit tedious and got on my nerves. I won't say which one's, but I'm sure it's obvious. Also at times it seemed too scripted and melodramatic. I never found walking the Camino to be melodramatic at all and I have over 2500 miles of walking on it, lol. Anyway, my best advice to anyone after seeing the movie is go and walk it. It's wonderful.

Pagans also walked it before Christianity arrived. Lovely way to merge Christian religion and local traditions. The pagan pilgrimage followed the milky way until the end of the earth. It's crazy to think that people have been doing this walk for thousands of years :D Note that it's specially important to NOT step on snails or snakes as it's believed that they could be the reincarnation of people who are doing the pilgrimage as penance. Buen camino! ;)

Wow~ love this footage! Now I want to take this camino! =)
I want to do it this summer. I am thinking of taking the de la plata route, because it is longer and less travelled
Saw this in Portland; wonderful perspectives, good information. Inspiring. 2018 will be my turn - I am planning early!

Can someone please tell me name of the song that is played towards the end of the doco? It's an upbeat/contemporary Spanish song. Thanks/Gracias :)
