Pacing. A scene can be great by itself - but really slow down or disconnect the narrative of the show in situ. There is clearly a great and funny scene - but I think it would have started to make the otherwise well-editied, well-paced episode feel flabby. I didn't miss this scene until I saw it - and therefore the show did not need this scene.
I would have said - there are no nuts; Justine would then have a tragic allergic reaction to the peanuts - to which I would shrug and say: you didn't tell me you had a legume problem... ;-) [only kidding, nut allergies are obviously very serious and occasionally life-threatening problems]
honestly as someone with a peanut allergy I've gotten much worse lmao (once told a guy I had a peanut allergy and he went into the kitchen and came back with a jar of peanut butter)
