Making a Manta Ray out of Paper Mache

I had a recycled materials challenge for school, and I always wanted to make a life-sized manta ray because I LOVE then ocean and ocean animals.
I used cardboard boxes, packaging material, an old balloon, and used homework paper from 3 weeks of homeschooling!
We used a 5:1 water:flour solution (heated on the stove with a pinch of salt) as our paper mache solution, and also tried a bit of Sta-Flo we had in the house. We used tempera paints that we had lying around.
