Adding to your list, as a huge Mercedes fan I'd love to see her get a rematch with Willow since their match at New Japan Resurgence had to end prematurely due to Mercedes broken ankle and I think we missed out on what could have been match of the night The opponent I most want to see Mercedes face is Shida and she's my current favorite AEW wrestler and having her against my all-time favorite would be a dream match. Since Mercedes never got an opportunity to face Meiko in WWE I'd love for her to face off against joshi Legend Emi Sakura Mariah May has spoken about Mercedes as an inspiration of hers when she was starting her training and that's another match up the two of them both would like to have Mercedes as always excelled against powerhouses who provide an excellent base, giving Nia Jax some of her best matches as an example, I would love to see Mercedes go up against the Megasus whenever Megan Bayne returns from Japan.. Lastly, as I know Mercedes loves to work with joshi I think we could have very fun matchups with her versus both Riho and Yuka Sakazaki
rather than face anyone person specifically, a great way to bring her in would be by using her as the catalyst to bring back the AEW OG's vs ex WWE storyline and this time do it the right way by concluding it with blood and guts. in terms of individual opponents, i just wanna see her go on the bryan danielson 2021 run and just wrestle everyone. match after match after match.
Well, I don’t think Mercedes should go to AEW either. Tony may pay them a lot, and give them freedom but he doesn’t know how to book them at all. If he can’t book Shawn Michaels right then idk what he’s gonna do with Mercedes. I think eventually Mercedes and WWE will come to an agreement and she will come back it may happen very soon or in a few months but it will happen. Mercedes does not like places where creative department lacks which was her main reason of leaving. So if she does return to WWE I won’t be surprised especially cause Becky and Charlotte are out rn.
