- Hi guys, I just wanted to show you exactly what supplies the hospital provided after I gave birth, they sure do help a lot and give you everything you need. Don’t be shy to ask for more if needed!!!

Congrats on your baby! You’ll do great, This is my 3rd child and I’ve received some stuff that they’ve never given me in the past. So if you need anything you ask them including more snacks lol 😂 and thank you so much ☺️ take care❤️
Seems like a great hospital. Just had my 4th a week ago and unfortunately my hospital doesn't provide much. Didnt even have hot water for shower or sink for the peri bottle. Didnt provide any snacks and cafeteria closed at 6pm every night so I would have my husband go get me something at night. No water bottle, no dermaplast. For baby no shirt or gown just receiving blanket, no pacifier, just the bare minimum. I wish I lived closer to better hospitals.
Wow!! I can’t imagine being at the hospital without those necessities!! Im sorry to hear that and I hope if anything you are able to get to a hospital that provides more for you in the future. Take care of yourself & little ones❤️

It’s definitely different for every hospital! I’d ask your hospital what they provide if you aren’t sure what’s provided ahead of time some provide a lot of stuff and some provide almost nothing
Another thing is some hospitals don’t provide clothes and I’ve even seen a lot of hospitals actually rent their receiving blankets and wash and reuse them so you aren’t supposed to take them home it really depends on the hospital so I’d double check ahead of time for your individual hospital! some provide swaddles and sleep sacks but some hospitals don’t :))
Also if you can afford it and you’re on the fence or haven’t heard of it I definitely recommend the Frida mom peri bottle most hospitals provide one like in the video but it doesn’t always reach the area as well and the Frida mom one sprays up instead of down (especially for those of you like me with thicker thighs when you’re on the toilet the ones the hospital provide can be a hassle)
Super helpful! Thank you! I never checked the drawers and was surprised when the nurse instructed me to take the supplies. I’m more aware of which hospital supplies I could take after this next delivery.
If you don’t take the supplies they will throw them away. Hospitals are not allowed to transfer them to the next person. Plus your insurance has already paid for them. Take everything
Tysm for this video! I’m due on Nov. 9th and Im getting anxious 😅 trying to put together a hospital bag and I don’t want to bring stuff I don’t need. Where’d you get the underwear you said you brought that you were wearing? Think I need to add those 😆
There the purple padded underwear (diaper looking) 😅 at Walmart where the pad section is they are so useful!!!!

Yes but Remember always be prepared I already went to the hospital in my area before so I already knew what I needed and didn’t need. Just make sure you take enough 😊
@@emilymariecreative I actually use to work at the hospital I deliver at, I was a patient transporter so I know some things I don’t need for baby but as for mom I didn’t see much of that so I’ll be extra prepared or myself 😆

Hi 😊 it was Lee memorial Hospital they do a great job with labor & delivery. Wow 🤩 in December at least it’s not too hot, and you’ll have a Christmas baby ❤️
Very informative. But Do hospitals provide new clothes for babies
They just provide a long sleeve shirt, hat, socks if you ask and a receiving blankets for clothing. But if you ask they might have clothing donations for babies. It’s always better to ask 😊
So there was no place for your husband or guest to sleep
My husband slept on the couch and they usually only allow one person to stay in the room through the night. Visitors can come in the next morning

Do they provide body wash, shampoo just in case you need to shower?
They probably have tiny travel sizes. but I’ve always taken my own bar soap or travel size items so I don’t have to worry about it

I live in tn and go in for my induction in a couple short days. Just wondering if most hospitals usually provide you with the dermaplast spray? Or should I go buy some
Congrats on your baby 😊👏 ❤️ I believe they provide you with one to two bottles if you ask for an extra one when you need it. But you can always go to Walmart, CVS or Walgreens and purchase one just to have as a backup but I only used mine for a couple days after I got home. Don’t hesitate and ask for extra items in the hospital when you need it and again congrats❤️

Do they charge you for all of this?
Besides charging for the labor and delivery, postpartum room stays and food. I believe that they do have a charge for the basic postpartum aftercare, but all that is paid for by Medicaid if you qualify for it &
if you don’t then whatever insurance you have will pay what they can and you pay the difference. But for heating pads, socks, water, snacks, waistband etc. I’m pretty sure that’s free 🤔 I haven’t received my hospital bill statement yet once I receive it I will make a video about it!

Yes they did charge me for photography 👍 but I’m aware that you can take your own photographer as well. Just ask also with Covid precautions!

What brand are your adult padded underwear?
Hello I used Equate brand but any will do, they’re just more comfy then wearing a pad on the way home etc. at the hospital they do have you wear pads and mesh underwear 👍

The don’t give anything, the charge you everything. Is you want to confirmed look your bill, the thing is that most of the insurance pay for it up to 90% and people believe is the hospital 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
They provide it for you, I didn’t say it was free. Of course they bill you for everything but it’s common sense that people should understand. and if you have Medicaid they do pay for it and if you don’t then obviously you pay the bill. But people should know if they qualify for insurance in the beginning of the pregnancy anyway.

@@emilymariecreativeyeah, I have Medicaid and all my prenatal appointments are free for me, I obviously expect the same when I give birth. I’ve had Medicaid and Aetna for years so I never pay for doctors appointments or hospital visits or medications anyways
