I had a creepy upstairs neighbor. She kept trying to flirt with me. I'm a straight woman, 48 at the time, and she, 65+ yrs old, insisted she "could change that" 🤦🏼♀️. She asked me out several times, and wouldn't take no for an answer. She'd leave food like homemade soup, & strawberries dipped in chocolate, etc. outside my door. I told her please don't, I have specific dietary needs I have to follow (true, but also an convenient excuse). She'd follow me to my car to chat, even after I told her I don't want to socialize a lot. If I went outside, she'd be outside too. Eventually I got stronger in my words, telling her to back off and leave me alone, but she ignored all boundaries. She became angry and started doing things like dumping liquids (no clue what) on my flower garden, killing everything overnight. I saw her do it again out my second story window and yelled down to her to get the hell out of my garden. Next she stole a huge box of cat litter I had just brought in from grocery shopping and hadn't even taken everything upstairs yet. Nobody else could get in our area because of security doors so I know it was her. Only she and I had keys. She stole all the beach glass and a statue from my garden, so I went to police and made a report about the harassment. They came and told her to leave me alone, or I could press charges. She'd ask repeatedly if she could take my small daughter, then 12, camping with her at her beach cottage. 🤷🏼♀️ I told her no, her father and I don't allow her to go anywhere without a family member, and this woman just got creepier by the day. I blocked her on Facebook but she kept sending me friend requests from at least 10 different accounts. Block block block... 😡 Luckily she was way behind in her rent so she got evicted but I also moved to a nicer place. And then I bought my own home, so I have not had contact again in the last 5 years, thank goodness. 😢
Tonight, I am going to relax put on a Playlist of your great stories, with your soothing voice and snuggle down with my cat and listen tell I fall asleep. Thank you for what you do, I would go crazy without your narration to help me sleep.
