So the fight got Cancelled but up until the Virus got really bad and people were told to shelter in place ,things were moving along just fine for Team Khabib Nurmagomedov at American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose Ca. We were supposed to see Khabib Nurmagomedov face off against Tony Ferguson for the Belt. The Champ was doing amazing in camp, he was ready for everything come fight time. As you can see the whole team is like one big strong family supporting and pushing each other, you can see that AKA definitely is a great environment for team work. Coach Javier Mendez was making sure everyone got the best training possible, and other Champions like Cain Velasquez and Daniel Cormier were showing up too. You had Bam Bam Tai Tuivasa, Umar Nurmagomedov, Islam Makhachev, Arjan Bhullar, and many more. This is what makes AKA so special. khabib really came out the winner of the ufc 249 before it even happened lol...he knew there was no location and dana was pushing his luck in a freaking pandemic. i imagine it would've been very annoying for khabib to be stuck in america right now, given that ramadan is on the way and people need to be with their loved ones in times like this.
@Damian see khabib's live when he spoke about this, he literally laughed and said "it's like a movie". there's more important things happening in the world than a ufc fight we're all waiting for..i'd rather it have been cancelled from the beginning instead of all this hype, and then tony being unavailable later (or even losing and we may not see tony vs khabib then)... dana was really tryna make the impossible happen but reality hit him in the face. khabib was transparent from day 1, and people were saying he shouldn't have been etc...but now it's played out very well for him. there was never gonna be a location even if he flew out.

Khabib the eagle Nurmagomedov. UFC undisputed, undefeated p4p champ! Not only a beast in the octagon, he proved to be very wise out of it. Those that were saying to him fly to America, now they can all 🤫🤫. Alhamdulillah our brother uses his rationale, he was proven correct. Hopefully we’ll see khabib vs tony in August or September now.
