From experience, not worth it. Too many variables (risky). Best leave it to bloggers, they make money from it while you have to spend it. Besides, everywhere people go through the same experiences like you, ie fear, struggle, marry, children, work etc etc. So be safe at home rather.

I must admit, the salespeople there are persistent but very friendly (which may be a sales tactic, but much more pleasant than other salespeople)

I've been to Bangcock and Cambodia before and it was amazing there! Such interesting and cultures! The food was the bomb as well! Glad to see it getting a bit more attention thanks to you! One of the more underrated holiday destinations imo.

I went to Thailand 2.5 months ago (i live in the usa)
It was amazing except for the weather. The people were so nice. I was on a Tuktuk & my hat blew off, & some random motorcyclist stopped, picked up the hat, & gave it back (the tuktuk driver stopped)
It’s amazing how calm the drivers here are even though traffic is horrible
Imma definitely put Thailand on my bucket travel list, along with Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.

I've stayed in a hotel there for 2 days in 2007 waiting for a flight from bangkok to Chiang Mai, we were staying in a little town near, Chiang Rai. You should definitely travel up north, and go to the mountains, abd also visit the White and Golden temple, it's very impressive! When my moms friend traveled with me back to Bangkok (they stayed longer) he went back up north by motorbike instead of a flight!
Ow and whenever you want to buy clothes, ask for "Falang size" 😉 (It means big white people from the west, nobody from the west will fit their tiny sizes 😅)
Ow and whenever you smoke cigarettes, try "Krong thip"
They're sweet and you can't compare it to our tabacco. It tastes weirdly great 😂

Welcome to our s**t hole country, bro. I really enjoy your vlog a lot. Love seeing you get excited about all sorts of things. If you had come earlier, like around April, you would have enjoyed the Songkran festival. It's one of the best festivals in the entire world, bro, no lies. I hope you move here long term because it's a good place to live, way better than Western first-world countries like Canada and the US, lol. Top tier food and very cheap, people here are very chill and friendly, no mandatory tipping, great healthcare and so on. Wish i could go back to Bangkok. I'm stuck in Nara, Japan. Man, FML. But i did enjoy Songkran in Beppu, Japan. Different vibe but man, that was fun.

Thailand i would visit one day
The motorbike taxis are usually quicker and cheaper if you have the balls for it. They can be scary tho as they drive kinda crazy. Also if you are getting car taxis make sure it's a proper taxi and not just a random dude selling car rides. The yellow n green taxis are reasonably priced if they use the meter, some will try to just give you a fixed price tho. Just tell them use the meter or walk away n find another.
