You need to make contacts with local companies that do construction and renovations. Especially remodeling. They would buy that stuff all day long. I represent a bunch of those type of companies and they would think they'd died and gone to heaven to grab that stuff for less than contractor price at Lowes

Rabbit has semi-trucks unloading his merch now! I was telling another viewer that NO ONE EVER became successful by NOT taking risks, and "thinking big!" I have a very successful booth at a very progressive antique store. I doubled the size of my booth a couple months ago (my wife was not happy with me)...It also doubled my rent! I was averaging around $700 per month in gross sales. The last two months, I'm now averaging $1,300 per month in gross sales. I've almost doubled my gross sales per month! Looking at those pallets, Rabbit will do extremely well!!

My brother is a delivery driver and set up person for Lowe's and he one time got a free stove that this customer didn't end up wanting. The lady said the stove he was delivering didn't match their kitchen and it got a small dent on the bottom corner when they took it out of the truck so his supervisor at the time let my brother keep it since it was just gonna be thrown away even though it worked just fine, it was worth $800-$900. They have it in their new house and still use it.

Back in the day, we had a company which did this. We had exclusive nationwide contracts with all the major stores which resulted in us servicing (incoming) on avg. about 5 trucks a day. There were days when we'd receive over 10. There were just as many trucks (buyers) going out as well.
It was a crazy busy time in my life. One that I hope to never experience again. :-)

In most cases of late deliveries, those which are an hour or two late, it's usually the driver screwing around or the dispatch screwing around that makes them late. I've had times when I am waiting for another driver who is 20 minutes away and he is too busy in the truck stop screwing around to bring it to me. But them not calling back promptly that's entirely on them. The driver probably doesn't even know it's late because they sometimes lie to us and say 'they will take it all day' and really they wanted it a week ago. I show up and get bitched at because i'm late and I don't even know what their talking about.

I think your biggest problem is shipping. Since the postal changes at the end of of June with the other major carriers falling in line, anything bigger than 12x12x12 or equal to it has skyrocketed no matter what the weight is. Good luck with the liquidation. Hopefully you do well.

    • @ResaleRabbit

You hit a bit of a raw nerve here my friend. Don't be whining about freight company services when you pick them on the basis of a few pennies. Post this quote in your wall and refer to it often. "It's true that you sometimes don't get what you pay for, BUT YOU NEVER GET WHAT YOU DON'T PAY FOR". Always remember, the pennies you save don't come out of the bosses pocket, they come out of the pockets of the employees. Don't believe me, ride around with a truck driver for a week. Please don't trash the people on the bottom of the totem pole, they hold the rest of the pole up!

I paid $50 for $10,000 worth of plumbing supplies (brass/copper, etc)at Orchard Hardware. It was very hard selling the stuff online. I ended up keeping $500 worth of brass/copper/valves, sold some things online, and scrapped some for $300. It was a waste of time. I figured I would've got at least $2,000 - $3,000.

If someone would stack stuff here in Sweden as you discribe it the transporting Company would have to pay for it and their repurtation would be so bad (if they continue to do that) that they would go out of business.
And, all of it would be insured so you would not lose anyting if you get the stuff all broken, scratched, waterdamaged etc.
