No. I also err on the side of caution and keep them covered when not in use.

Wouldn't it make sense if a company makes lenses to filter out sun damage?
Do you mean filters to be able to use your nods during the day or to be able to look directly at the sun?

@@EsotericaVirtuoso that would require tinting and/or polarization which is not something you want in a (light) image intensifier.
