Right he going Show em just watch my Pels did good with out em they going be even better wait till he work himself back into rotation and they build there chemistry
Good job Pels and Zion. That playoff run with out ZION made him realize that they did not need him. That gave him the motivation and incentive to come back and sign and the Pels the leverage to sign him to a (not quite) Max deal. He deserves to be paid but he should not get the max guaranteed. Now, he needs to get in there with the Pels and become the number 1 option like a Shaq type of player while BI becomes more of the orchestrator like Kobe ( see the discussion they had face to face in suits when Kobe talked about seeing what the Pistons were doing but not being able to adjust.) and CJ is the veteran that keeps them steady. This is a good young team that should scare the crap outta the league very shortly -ALL DUE TO THE LAKERS.
you talk contradiction like all zion haterz. a team that made playoffs without him and dont need him but they throw all the money at him. he didnt play last year and they aint sure he can stay out of injury. and thats a good thing. yall more wacko than jacko
he didnt sign yet. should ask for sign and trade. too many ballhoggers on that team. peliclowns now put all they little money on a player that they say is injury prone so it doesnt make any sense.
I'm so happy for Zion and the Pelicans. Finally, someone is loyal to the team regardless of the amount of money. With Ingram, McCollum and now healthy Zion Williamson, they are going to the ECF next year and I guarantee this. When you're new to NBA or you don't have a team to cheer for (Sonics fans), the Pelicans are the ones. Absolutely.
National media gonna be mad. Zion staying in Nola💪🏾💪🏾. Lol🤣🤣🤣. The Pelicans bout to Fly High. If team stay healthy? Minimum top 4 seed in Western Conference. Book it!
Let’s not act like we are surprised about this. They would rather trade him than to lose him for nothing…. Now that Pelicans don’t suck anymore, Zion wants to stay…. Let’s see how he fits with Ingram and CJ…. He’s not going to NYK. This would be going backwards for him…
A lot of money to shell out for a guy that played in 85 games in 3 seasons. They should learned something from GS on how they handled Curry. His ankle was a big question mark and because of that, he got a decent extension. When he proved that he could stay relatively healthy, he became one of the most underpaid players in the league. It also gave the Warriors the cap space to go out and sign a bunch of good players to be bench players.
The Warriors have built a contender dating back for a decade now. New Orleans isn't there yet & has never been an NBA All-star player destination, so they needed to sign their very young once in a generational talent long-term in the midst of a budding young team.
@@Titanbrotha00 when they re-signed Curry, they were a 20 win team. Why give that much money to a player that may not contribute in the wins column because he’s injury prone?
@@Shakester71 The Warriors still had their cornerstones & were an established brand, period! The Pelicans ARE NOT!. Zion is still a young, generational talent with good going pieces being built around him. They scraped by to get into the playoffs & with his talents could potentially get them to the next level. You don't give up on a talent like that so quickly especially for a small market team trying to earn it's keep in the NBA after relinquishing Anthony Davis
@@Titanbrotha00 actually the Warriors weren’t an established brand at that time. Remember Lacob and Gruber didn’t own the team until their first championship. Cohan did. They had their We Believe years with Baron Davis but that only lasted 2 years. For a long time, they were horrible.
@@BrandonClark-StocksPassports maybe they'll the money, can't say I know how much NBA teams gross, but this can only benefit him. If he stays healthy and keeps growing the way he was on the court he might be league MVP level good in 2027.
Idk about this one. The young man has only played in like 85 games in 3 years. Not saying he isn’t very talent but his issues stem from his weight, and have caused constant nagging injuries that prevent him from playing. If they were to pay him, I would have definitely put something in the contact regarding is weight. Either way congrats to that young man
This is just unfrickinbelievable!!! No way in hell he deserves this. Wow!!! You guys are gonna be so sorry you gave him this money. He’s been hurt since you drafted him! What the hell are ya’ll thinking. Damn!!!
