The term "Domestic partner" has been around for a while. I first heard it when LGBT became prominent. This was also the legal terminology used to add your partner to your insurance plan at work. Not a husband nor wife; rather, a "domestic partner".
My mind read that as "shaking it up", I sat here cracking up at yet another way of saying hooking up... like I had a whole image. Then I realized it was supposed to say "shacking". I'll see myself out.
@@Childfree334 uh when white people say they don't see color, they are still called racist. You know why because the people calling them racist tell them they are lying or ignoring their hardships. So no matter what white people are racist no matter what they say. And people say "the white guy/girl" and no one says anything so who cares. I used to think like that until liberals started telling me I was racist for saying that (such as my former lib friends) former because I don't need that negativity for absolutely nothing. I am not republican either because people like to automatically call me a Trump supporter when I say this.
As a former factory trained employee of a siding company, I can tell you that without a doubt the work is unacceptable! The seams of the panels SHOULD BE STAGGERED! This is so you don’t see a distinct line in one place where the panels overlap. The panels closest to the front of the house should overlap the panels closest to the rear. Wood siding expands and contracts less so the boards are butted and the seams don’t show. Vinyl siding has to be overlapped because it has to be able to move because it expands and contracts more. The object is to make the seams the least noticeable as possible. You NEVER strip the old siding from the house. In fact, you must replace any rotten wood BEFORE installing vinyl siding. The foam insulation is to increase the R-factor of the house and to smooth out the walls so the vinyl siding lays as flat as possible.
Glad to see some one point that out. When i seen the pictures i thought that's looks awful. And where were the pictures of it fixed. It all look awful. He never paid anybody to fix it.
Harvey's question about being "ok" with recovering addicts doing the work...lame. The fact is there are recovering addicts EVERYWHERE in all walks of life, in all socioeconomic classes. There are many insurance companies that cover treatment for those fortunate enough to be covered by such insurance. Whether he's aware of it or not, he's really asking if people are ok with recovering addicts who are not economically stable doing the work. It just shows how often class is a factor and that it's simply not recognized.
@@jazzyg6059 they really are! I'm going to break this down for everyone. I've roofed my entire life. Literally. I'm a 2nd generation roofer. Started helping my dad when I was 8 by cleaning up trash. It's almost a requirement that roofers are either on probation, have baby momma problems, be addicts s/recovering addicts, have a suspended driver's license, have no transportation/very unreliable transportation,a felon and a bad attitude. If you have a combination of any of those you have a great shot at being a roofer. Roofing is hard, hot, unforgiving work that normal people are smart enough to leave alone. Unless your one of the very few who have sense enough to clean up and open their own business it's not worth it in the long run if you plan on living great in old age. It's not. But at the same time a roof is one of the most important things humans need across the world. They may not have power, plumbing, ac/heat, running water or even walls but they always have a roof. Even if it's made out of reeds, mud, ice, shingles, metal or solar panels. Shelter consisting of mainly a roof is vital. At that's left up to people who usually can't get along doing any other work.
Wait -- "literally"?? That must've hurt your mama's V when you came out wearing boots, a tool belt, & carrying roofing nails! Likely you have no younger siblings, huh?😄 Seriously though: respect to you for doing a difficult and sometimes thankless job that almost no sane person wants to do. Props! 🤠
@@oldageisdumb if you can afford one then that's what you should get. Shingles are getting more and more expensive so it's an easier decision these days. Shingles are made from asphalt which is a petroleum product. So if the price oil oil goes up you can just about count on shingle prices to follow. shingle prices don't fluctuate as much as gas prices but the same principle. There are different types of metal roof with a pretty wide range of pricing. The cheapest metal roof you can put on has exposed fasteners (screws). Still a much better roof then shingles. Usually has a lifetime warranty but you will still have to change out the screws every 15 or 20 years because the washers on them dry out. But if you get a standing seam metal roof your literally one and done. No fasteners showing but takes a good bit longer to install and can get pricey. Well worth it if you have the money. I personally would stay away from getting a colored metal roof for 2 reasons mainly. First one is once you choose that color your limited on what you can paint your house in the future to match. The other reason is no matter what they tell you the color always fades over time. I always advise that people just go with standard galvalume color (silver) because it basically stays the same shade and it's cheaper then colored metals. Usually substantially cheaper
@@oldageisdumb yea, it's not as bad as they used to be. These days our roofs are decked in solid with plywood or the metal is installed over the existing roof with a perlin system. Which is essentially 1x4 screwed to the existing roof then the metal screwed to that. In years past if you were in the attic you could see the bottom side of the metal. So when it rained it was similar to beating on a drum. Not much of an issue these days. It's not much different then any other roof these days as far as noise. Definitely do your research on the contractor you choose. That's the most important thing I could advise. It can be the best purchase you've made or an absolute nightmare if you have the wrong people do it. I made a living going behind people fixing what they said they could do. Anytime a roofer has to go behind another it's becomes very expensive.
I was in the roofing industry for nearly 30 years. Worked on a few prisons. One time while we were in there and they ran background checks, three guys wound up not being able to leave because they had active warrants. 🤣

Okay non-carpenters here's the drill: those seams absolutely should be staggered. Her assertion that it is like sewing is laughable. So much for her father's 60 years experience, it obviously didn't flow down to her. The difference in the siding height is due to the bay section probably having been added later. It does not have a foundation under it. It would have been very easy to add a piece of wood and make sure the siding is even. Insulation board is not adequate under vinyl siding (although you can make it work if you make sure you nail in the studs.)
Just to clear it up for anyone who's curious, the seam on the vinyl siding should in fact NOT be in line like that. That's horrible work and the woman who's father has done this his whole life needs to shut up. Just because your the kid of a doctor doesn't mean you can give me medical advice lol

In my country, as well as many others, calling someone a young buck refers to the characteristics of deer; a young man whose got his first antlers, a lot to prove, and not much experience to prove it with. They are usually rather ambitious and a little impulsive, but not ill intentioned. And much like a young deer, they tend to learn best by stumbling a few times into the wrong answer before gaining the humility to calm down and learn from others.
Seams are always suppose to be staggered so water doesn’t get in and freeze in a line
Yep!!!
The defendant's *Laugh* just made my day 🤣🤣man sounds like he funna start up an old chevy
“ Do you have anything other than flapping gums?” - Jude Mulian to Plaintiff 🔥💀💀
My dad did vinyl siding for many years. I worked many jobs with him. The seams where siding comes together should NOT be lined up. The defendant doesn't know what he's doing.
Flapping gums, once the license thing transpired I knew they weren't going to win.
That was so damn funny she caught him lying immediately I laughed like hell!!!!!
Already. Plus ➕ he made JM ask more than once & breaking down..."I know other people are licensed. I wanna know if YOU are licensed...You KNOW YOU'RE NOT LICENSED!!!"
Yep. Not only that but....Do YOU IN YOUR NAME HAVE A LICENSE?...i don't carry it 😶do you have a license in your name that's not a license?no
I knew they weren’t going to when during the intro when the plaintiff said he hired a bunch of drug addicts
The judge was on point with her judgement!!!! Sad how people can be.
The defendant looks like an older, outta shape Terry Crews🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Was just thinking that 💀😂
Lol I was trying to figure our who he reminded me of
When will some litigants ever learn??!! NO PROOF, *NO CASE!!!!*
They all over the place and no evidence.
Im not no siding expert but I can tell you 100% it needs to be staggered. I grew up with a large family and friends that are contractors and my parents have owned many income properties over years.
Siding seams should 100% be staggered…… the fact they even laughed at this was telling. That being said, I have zero issues with hiring ex cons. My Dad hired a lot of men to work his construction site who were deemed unhire-able by other people’s standards and they were almost always grateful for the opportunity and worked their butts off.
The defendants no smile chuckle had me dead!!
The lines are always staggered on siding😂
That introduction for the Plaintiff was amazing 🤩 LMAOOOOOO
There goes the roll of toilet paper and crayon comment can be a contract lol. I was waiting for it. If I don’t learn anything I know that I can make a contract out of toilet paper and crayons
Which confuses me about her sometimes. Because she'll tell you that you can't bring her a receipt from those receipt books you can get from Walmart.
What the hell is a domestic partner? Just a fancy way of saying we been shaking up for a while. 😂😂😂
The term "Domestic partner" has been around for a while. I first heard it when LGBT became prominent. This was also the legal terminology used to add your partner to your insurance plan at work. Not a husband nor wife; rather, a "domestic partner".
Right,,a term used for years which means 'shacking'...😂🤣😅
That's how judge Judy would classify it lmao
My mind read that as "shaking it up", I sat here cracking up at yet another way of saying hooking up... like I had a whole image. Then I realized it was supposed to say "shacking". I'll see myself out.
OMG JM said "so this could just be someone you know from the sober house that you told -hey , do me a solid and come to court with me🤣🤣🤣
🤦🏾♀️😅
shes right tho!
I’m inclined to believe the black guy. He seems to be staying to the facts, presenting very credibly and she supports his apparent honesty.
Could've just said defendant 🙄

I used to think like that until liberals started telling me I was racist for saying that (such as my former lib friends) former because I don't need that negativity for absolutely nothing.
I am not republican either because people like to automatically call me a Trump supporter when I say this.
@@Shaykre19 That was brill 😂
That girl had no idea about siding. I install it professionally, you stagger that shit lmao. Terrible job
Harveys questions are always so stupid and childish
@@jazzyg6059 they really are! For goodness sakes this is someone who makes his living off talking about people in high socioeconomic class( celebrities) who fall off the wagon or check themselves into a 5 million dollars rehab and low and behold he makes all this money off it! And recovering celebrities get multiple chances.
Siding end seams do need staggered to keep water out
Duh.
You stagger the siding for one looks so you don’t see a line at each connection and two to help the structure of the siding so seems don’t pop out and siding fall down from wind.
Kids, the moral of the story is don't use drugs or abused alcohol. The Faulty Thinking is obvious with the Plaintiffs
We are the people but its Judge Milan’s court 😂
He better file bankruptcy to cover that $100k debt cause that addict won't be paying him back

The plaintiff is suing him in a separate case
Rico…Is Hiding! Lol
Damn. It was like pulling teeth getting that dude to admit he does not have a license.....
Likely you have no younger siblings, huh?😄
Seriously though: respect to you for doing a difficult and sometimes thankless job that almost no sane person wants to do. Props! 🤠
What are your thoughts on metal roofs?
@@Blue_Collar_Colonizer_1776 Thank you so much! The only issue I e heard about them is they are very loud.
A person in recovery from alcohol or drugs can do quality work the same as someone that never had to deal with a addiction
They can actually be better workers than others that never had a problem.

By the way, my husband is a third generation Contractor and he always staggers the siding and the wood flooring.
Plaintiff's "witness" got paid in MD 2020, Thunderbird or Boonesfarm wine afterwards. No way did he get $4,300.
How could you have done siding over 30 times but say the seams are supposed to line up in a straight line? Thats absolutely false
Just because your the kid of a doctor doesn't mean you can give me medical advice lol
yeah it looked awful
Why doesn't he hire a licensed contractor instead of hiring drug people the guy next to the older guy looked like a alcoholic

When a couple has been together for more then 5 years they become a domestic partner which means they can make decisions like a wife or husband when needed legally it’s good to have domestic partnership they have more legal benefits
Is that the same as common law?
