After watching all that Star Fox series you showed at the end, I can totally see them making a Star Fox racing game and I totally picture it in my head. If they took the game engine they used for the Wii U Star Fox game and took a lot of the elements and models they created then, they could transform it into another whole game. I think it's smart for them to reuse assets they've created now to more quickly put out new games. I don't think a game has to be built from the group up for it to be an amazing game!!
It's doubtful that they'll be re-using the assets or engine (unless they're using Unreal) from SF Zero, since two completely different dev studios worked on either game. Retro Studios have proven themselves time and time again, so I'm excited to see what they've been crafting all this time.

Fire Emblem as a franchise has a bit of a precedent of announcing and releasing in a very short time span. The -announcement- wasn't so much an announcement, more so a confirmation of a title being produced. Intelligent system's really aren't about keeping people waiting on the edge of their seat for an eternity. In fact the only real reason they announced the Switch game was to cover their butts like pokemon did this past week, they announced let's go a more casual game, followed by a meaty one for 2019. A bunch of Fire Emblem fans like myself were super excited to hear about a potential switch game, which just wasn't the focus. They were wrapping up the third and final 3DS one, which did prove to be a great game actually. A lot of fans consider Echoes to be the best of the 3DS Fire Emblem games. However this was somewhat disappointing cause fans had the expectation that the series would make the jump ASAP, but by announcing the Switch one so early they reassured their fans it wouldn't be too terribly long. I honestly expect a meaty reveal, including a name drop, scenes from the story, and a decent amount of game play, accompanied by a release date for sometime later this year. Possibly in December as that early December slot did Xenoblade 2 a lot of good in 2017. This would be followed by some really meaty coverage in the tree house really digging into the new game. I expect this to be the biggest fire emblem reveal ever. As Fire Emblem Heros made over 300 million dollars on mobile. It's time to take some big risks. Big risks I fully expect to pay off. For instance, the only thing the director of the game has said thus far is the following. "The Switch game will have unbelievably beautiful graphics" That's all that was said, and yet i'm hype to see that pan out as we'll be jumping from a 240p handheld to crisp console graphics. Not to be a jerk or anything, but am I missing something with the Yoshi games? I've tried Yoshi's Island (and its sequels), didn't pull me in. Same with Yoshi's Story. Haven't tried Wooly World but it looks like more of the same. I have the same problem with it as I do with most of the Kirby series, it's more just walking forward than actually engaging in the game. I'm sure there are great ones (most people love Yoshi's Island for example, just like Kirby Super Star is legendary), but I just haven't seen it yet. Any suggestions for getting into the series?

And I mean, by that logic, you wouldn’t enjoy many 2D platformers, including the likes of Mario. Yoshi games are mainly about going through lengthy levels and trying to find all the secrets/collectibles. However, you interact with the levels a lot, and have fun gameplay moments with things like transformations. The games aren’t for everyone, but as someone who loves going for collectibles, Yoshi games are a dream come true!

Intelligent Systems make Paper Mario and Intelligent Systems haven't even revealed the new Fire Emblem for Switch yet which is what they're working on. Paper Mario is FAR away unless they port over TTYD. But honestly the Switch hacking scene will probably get that done faster and not for an unreasonable price.

Nah, i don't think that Smash will take a lot of time. We thought so too with Super Mario Odyssey. Last year, when Nintendo revealed their e3 plans, it said exactly the same as Smash this year. I think, that the major stuff of Smash will be Treehouse. After all, Nintendo will start Treehouse with Smash like they did with Odyssey.
ziggy schroder Exactly, why would they spend a hole chunk of their presentation on Smash when it'll be playable at booths, have it's own treehouse most likely, and have an invitational event? Smash just needs one simple coherent trailer lasting 2-3 minutes in order to gain traction. If they want to spend 10 minutes on Smash or more, they'll do a Smash Direct later on. After all the past Smash directs were received well (besides the DLC ones)

JUST YOSHI?! Let me remind you that we’re talking about the *best* Nintendo character here! Not to mention that he’s one of the best Nintendo franchises. Anyways, I do think it will come this year, and if I had to guess, probably in August. It just feels like the right release date to me.
Not to be a jerk or anything, but am I missing something with the Yoshi games? I've tried Yoshi's Island (and its sequels), didn't pull me in. Same with Yoshi's Story. Haven't tried Wooly World but it looks like more of the same. I have the same problem with it as I do with most of the Kirby series, it's more just walking forward than actually engaging in the game. I'm sure there are great ones (most people love Yoshi's Island for example, just like Kirby Super Star is legendary), but I just haven't seen it yet. Any suggestions for getting into the series?

ChrisMDB A bit confused on what you mean by, “engaging with the game.” Are talking about like how you interact with the environment in games such as Doneky Kong Country Tropical Freeze? And I mean, by that logic, you wouldn’t enjoy many 2D platformers, including the likes of Mario. Yoshi games are mainly about going through lengthy levels and trying to find all the secrets/collectibles. However, you interact with the levels a lot, and have fun gameplay moments with things like transformations. The games aren’t for everyone, but as someone who loves going for collectibles, Yoshi games are a dream come true!

Good video, one minor detail though. The console and mobile versions of fortnite are developed fully by epic games. The mobile version doesn't have the PVE mode, though, mostly because it would take so much more storage. Minor thing, but thought I would mention it

Intelligent Systems make Paper Mario and Intelligent Systems haven't even revealed the new Fire Emblem for Switch yet which is what they're working on. Paper Mario is FAR away unless they port over TTYD. But honestly the Switch hacking scene will probably get that done faster and not for an unreasonable price.
I'd love a proper sequel to TTYD. Hell even just a remaster would be good!

Sayr that makes sense. I always know that I’m asking for too much with another paper Mario game at the same level of TTYD, but honestly it’s the only game I even play anymore that’s worth it. It was just such a good series! And I would prefer an official release over a hacked version, but anything is worth it.

MK8D DLC probably isn't worth investing in if they are planning to make a MK9 for the Switch at some point.

Nah, i don't think that Smash will take a lot of time. We thought so too with Super Mario Odyssey. Last year, when Nintendo revealed their e3 plans, it said exactly the same as Smash this year. I think, that the major stuff of Smash will be Treehouse. After all, Nintendo will start Treehouse with Smash like they did with Odyssey.
ziggy schroder Exactly, why would they spend a hole chunk of their presentation on Smash when it'll be playable at booths, have it's own treehouse most likely, and have an invitational event? Smash just needs one simple coherent trailer lasting 2-3 minutes in order to gain traction. If they want to spend 10 minutes on Smash or more, they'll do a Smash Direct later on. After all the past Smash directs were received well (besides the DLC ones)
