The idea of Kronika fear of Liu Kang always on Raiden side kinda on point. Every alternate form Liu Kang has over the years always relate through Raiden's action - Zombie Liu Kang, result when Raiden try to resurrect Liu Kang with ancient necromancer magic. Revenant Liu Kang, while this was Quan Chi's doing, Raiden is the one responsible because he wage the souls of the fallen earthrealm warrior to the sorcerer in desperate attempt to save the earth, and he accidentally kill Liu Kang, resulting Quan Chi obtain Liu Kang soul to be corrupted. Fire God Liu Kang, the ultimate sacrifice which Raiden himself entrust all his god essence to Liu Kang, as an act of redemption for all of his mistake that always lead to Liu Kang's demise. Good or bad, Raiden's action always determined the fate of Liu Kang. The very reason why Kronika fear both of them

This, THIS is how you make your protagonist return from the dark side. The revenant look was kind of cool, yes, but the classic MK story look will never go out of style. Our hero, Liu Kang becomes a God, succeeding Raiden as the Big Good.

Liu Kang's a god now, and that's great but can we appreciate the fact that the generic Shaolin are finally kicking some ass after years of dying!
Well Liu Kang is not a generic human, he was always more than normal human. Remember, Liu Kang was the first one who beat Shinnok back in MK4. The Cage family in MKX are just substitute for Liu Kang's role and a plot device to counter Shinnok because Liu Kang was revenant in that game. And Liu Kang beat Shinnok with his pure strength, no additional magic power like Cage family, nor God power like in MK11.

Kang is actually his surname, Liu is his name. In Asia, surname is put in the front. That is why i named myself as "Kang Liu" instead of "Liu Kang", because "Liu Kang" is just a convenient way to speak in English

The last complaint i heard was "Why did Kang Liu always win, let him lose, i want to see him lose".
Then, when they actually get to Kang Liu lose, they're like "Liu is so useless, he couldn't do anything on his own", completely disregard the Midway storyline, which Liu defeated Shao Kahn in MK2, MK3, and even in MK Trilogy.

But then the ending of Aftermath somewhat fixes it.

If Raiden could fuse with other people, why was this not hinted at before in prior entries? We can ignore MK1-8 because those are a different timeline, but how about MK9 and X? Why didn’t he do this to stop Shao Kahn then and let Liu Kang live? You can’t say cause the Elder Gods wouldn’t be okay with it because he didn’t consult the Elder Gods before he fused with Liu Kang. So again, this was just dumb IMO. Felt like some DBZ shit fr, almost as bad as Cassie Cage fucking up Shinnok.

Loved both MK11 storylines, but Aftermath’s my favorite, but the first is my ultimate favorite. I can’t decide to be honest, I loved both! To this day, I can’t get enough of Liu front flipping to the boat, landing epically with flawless precision.
The look Kronika had on her face when Raiden and Liu Kang merged is priceless.
This story is fucking amazing! Can't wait to play it.

Great job mk11 correcting the mistakes of mkx and more. Finally liu kang takes back his rightful spot. Kitana gets the credit she deserves. Baraka, sheeva and the outworlders are protagonists at last, no longer one dimensional. Amazing game and story 10/10
