Honestly this is one of the best TRUE sequels i've ever played. The plot is pushed forward, new gameplay adaptations are put in that emphasize the original's and it can pass as a stand alone title. Needs more ZoE
I am one of those players who enjoy challenge, I usually go for hard difficulty in a game the first time I play it and believe me, this game is amazing at been difficult and this fight is no exception, I enjoyed fighting leo and hits Vic viper , oh man it was just like fighting Viola at the end of Zoe 1, loved it to the very end!
I love the cross over of The Vic Viper from The Gradius series in That Game! Because the LEV is actually the ship from the famous Shoot'em up! I say Excellent reference in such great game! :3

I always thought he was cool and thought Dingo was for immature people who can somehow excuse him constantly bitching at literally everyone including his own allies because he's [mary sue action hero guy].
I can't decide if I like Leo or Dingo better. Dingo is obviously more of a badass, and is much more mature, with problems in his past he always has to deal with. He's a very human character, with lots of flaws, yet he still tries to do what is right. Leo, on the other hand, is younger and more innocent, and doesn't have the best control over his emotions. But both are awesome pilots and characters in general. I might have a slight bias towards Leo, since we share the same name. :)

If Kojima makes a 3rd one I think it'd be cool with a new Jehuty Pilot. Maybe some cameo appearences from old pilots but having a cool new story line would be awesome.

It's challenging, yes, but if you know what to do, you'll only die about... let's say three times. Try blocking his sword and countering when he's in mech mode. While he's in flight mode, dodge him and fire missiles at him at the same time. You'll also have the opportunity to use a burst attack while he's hovering still in flight mode. If you ask me, this fight was awesome and intense, and I had a hell of a time fighting the first pilot of Jehuty.
@Rundasice The Vic Viper's a LEV because it's built on Earth military technology (as opposed to Martian, metatron-based orbital frame technology), not because of it's combat potential.
For anyone that actually WATCHES anime, you'd understand how much of a stereotype dingo actually is. sure leo is the whiny unsure shonen with high responsibility placed on him. But dingo is the maverick, the hot shot pilot caricature, a lot more desirable than the shonen for mature western audiences...but by no means any less of a stereotype.
Never played those games to know. But upon reflection, I should've said "Treated" since the Konami I know today is different. One thing I really liked about them was how they include so many references to their older games (which was the case for MGS4).
Theres a difference between not being a cliche and not being original, you can always take existing molds for characters and take them in wildly different places, the characters in Zone of the Enders are hardly that varied and interesting, but the world and story around them more than make up for it, just thought it was something to consider since so many people act like Dingo is a much more interesting and original character than Leo.

More interesting, but not original. Leo spent 95% of ZOE bitching about how somebody needed him to save the damn colony. Dingo was hooked to Jehuty for no good reason, and he didn't even bitch about it as much as most people would.
