Hi! If you're going to (pre) order a DELAY 1 from Perfect Circuit (US) you could do so by following this affiliate link. It helps me out a bit. link.perfectcircuit.com/t/v1/8-12626-287984-9759?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.perfectcircuit.com%2Fjoranalogue-delay-1.html
Joranalogue are doing some pretty interesting modules. The main downside is, that it isn't designed in stereo (in!) so you need two for stereo setups. And you are doing well will these "explicit" videos as well, because they give the people the opportunity to make good decisions before buying a module. Subscribed.
@@trymarud For the first part of the video I forgot to mute the mic channel on my mixer (where the output of my modular is recorded through) so the noise is coming from that involuntary recording of my room. DELAY 1 is clean as a whistle.
@@trymarudI have and love Sarajewo, but it would accomplish VERY different things from Delay 1. It’s designed for long echoes, and I’m pretty sure the shortest delay possible is around 30ms
Hi@@jessehardy7332 , thank you for the info, yep I red it in manuals, it is different, but still on the fence :), for long (even short) delay I have DLD and/or Versio and FXAid, but I was lately thinking about getting / explore more "traditional" bbd delay. Do you think the Sarajewo is worth it when I have those dsp delays? Will it add alot to sound possibilities / timbres? My idea is that analog one will sound different then those dsps, but sometimes it can be realy just about individual "perception" without big difference in the end/reality.
Delay 1 is great for synthesis and effects based on time domain manipulation (karplus strong, chorus, flanger, ...). If you really need a delay for doing delays (echos) it's not as suited as a non bbd or digital delay.
This isn't an all rounder for sure. It's great but not a typical delay. Basil is incredible. All rounder delay but with a ton of options, clock sync, built in filters, forward AND reverse feedback It's lovely. Mimeophon is great too but I prefer Basil for the feedback movement options.

As always perfect demonstration and awesome sounds BRiES. After your video another Joranalogue on my list
Good luck in your new place to live. thanks for video!
Thank you Manfred!
What is the source of the background noise? Could be heard troughout the video, most noticable 3:40 - 6:00
Aaah I am just reading it is normal with BBD delays ( I never used bbd ), so I suppose it is coming from delay 1

@@briesmodular thanks for the info :).
Checking ES Black BBD and Xaoc Sarajewo... On a fence between Sarajewo and Delay1 atm.

whenever i hear a joranalogue module i find it hard to justify buying anything else
Hmmm, Delay 1,Bastl Basil or MN Mimeophon ? I need an allrounder delay module !
