Scrap men actually do a good job. They help keep our back lanes clear of scrap metal. Washers and household scrap have been thrown out by people who do not care what our streets look like. We have three scrap men that pick up around where I live. They start as early as 7am and work all day. their pickups are always full, it amazes me where it all comes from. There are a few dishonest scrap men who will take things that aren't scrap but most are good. I put seven radiators out where they could be seen and within a very short time, they were gone. That saved me from going to the tip myself and probably getting charged by the council when I got there.
A truck which has appropriate straps to carry said vehicle, and is driven by someone more competent, competent enough to take in to account the height of their vehicle. Plus it is being taken somewhere off the road, and not continued to drive around all day, putting thousands more at risk than there would be by just taking it to the yard.
The romanians around our way don’t get stopped and checked. They haven’t even got a scrap carrier license they get away with murder round here they do what they like, it is a different story for the normal Leicester lad though.
I like that you said you'd try to be kind on the price for your friend, and again your professionalism kicks in when you tell him to belt up. Deffo well to be off the road too!
@@stevecampbell7589 I had a vision of arriving at the scrap yard, just with a set of wheels securely strapped down, the rest having fallen off en-route.
Here's a question - if it's an unsafe load in the back of the scrappy van, isn't it also an unsafe load on the back of the recovery vehicle? Or is it just that the van was so shonky?
what actually made him think he could drive a van like that in that condition. Plus no wonder he got pulled over with a load like that and with no front reg plate asking for trouble. Hope sense will be there next time and not do a silly thing like that again and risk the lifes of other road users just for an extra few quid. not worth it.
Yo Yo, really! Sounds about right 😂 dont get me wrong this transit was a death trap really. But most of the time they search and dig for anything! See it everyday at vosa check site near me! P.S thanks for the sub! GDB
Its funny you said let me put a strap on before you get out of the truck because of the brakes obviously because of the slope it was on. But you put the strap on pulling it backwards the opposite to what it needed.
Got to be special stupid to get a van done by DVLA up the drive for having no tax. Doesn’t exactly cost anything to SORN a vehicle does it? Police could have put him out of business for that pickup, insecure load, probably over weight too ply’s no number plate. Never mind the general state of the thing. Insecure load is supposed to be a £1000 fine in its own plus points on the licence. Does he actually have a waste carrier licence?
Awesome video! Can you share what insurance you use for your recovery truck?? I'm thinking abut buying a recovery truck as well, but i'm not sure what insurances to look into.
Well driven in that tight road. I drive trucks( mostly to big places with plenty of room 😅) and amazed how the public parkes up their small residential roads and then still EXPECTS EMERGENCY SERVICES WITH BUG VEHICLES TO SAVE THEM FROM DEATH 😅
Police are just on a power trip with that, unsafe load but its fine on a flatbed & they didnt tell him to take anything off, absolute plumbs 🤦♂️ my opinion but staffordshire & Cheshire police have something stuck up their rear ends, whenever im travelling in that area i get pulled over for my subaru "possibly being to loud" & "unroadworthy" because i rebuilt it & the front ends blue. Its happened 7times in the past 2years, not had an issue anywhere else in the country!
@@cliveramsbotty6077 I am left alone so why should I change it? It's just those 2 areas that iv ever been pulled over, no other police force bats an eyelid! I had to go pick up my friends car from Stafford the same day mine passed its mot & they pulled me for "being unroadworthy" and insisted on checking it out 🤦♂️
That load is nothing to wat I see loaded around my area don't mind the travelers it's the none British people are worse in there heaps of vans ready for the scrap them self but that mate of yours van looks like a death trap and if he brakes the law and keeps doing it they will keep having him and could get big fines and he's driving licence will get taken off him simple if the vehicle or the load they don't like the police will have him 😂🤣
Dude needs to get a proper job and stop begging for metal and you should of been pulled for unsafe load aswell, that's a load of bollox you could recover that without the load being sorted and why weren't the old bill there to prove you actually recovered it and he didnt drive on? Sketchy that is
14:40 , Dont leave it here! (HAHAHAHA) SOOOOO.... Just stuffing the whole Load onto a Tow Truck makes it SAFE?(Really? No tarps needed? OMG) (Just for luck to the scrappers, Ive posted 8 LOL's)
9:11 That transit is an absolute deathtrap 🤣
One of many roaming around the streets, why go looking for scrap when they're sat on it 😂

Love it how the answer to an over height vehicle is to put it on the back of a truck, oh the wisdom of modern day coppers.

well, i agree with the rozzers on that one, bloody deathtrap, now gone...
Unsafe load but its safe if its on a flatbed 🤣🤣
Yeah…. Didn’t quite get that
@@robbiesmith1541 its the van thats unsafe
Very good point😂
😵💫🤔
POLICE TREVOR HARRIS
That’s my bonnet on the back of the transit 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
The police saved them from that van being there coffin ⚰ 😳
They were scrapping the van anyway. I'd never have driven that in the first place though.
Fair play Shane for seeing the funny side great video

Front number plate & cover. Oh wait! Probably one of the best recovery services you'll ever come across. Trent lads love ya
shouldve offered him 50 quid then scrapped it
Un safe load well that's an understatement I wonder where all the scrap came from so much theft
That reg comes back to a Peugeot boxer in white not a ford transit tipper
DFD not DPD
Dam cops in the comments too. Foxtrot oscar lol

exactly!! c'mon. There is no such thing as a legit and honest scrap man

I sold him a little Peugeot he towed it from Stoke to Woodseaves on about 18 inch of rope!!
As usual great to watch
So he was pulled over for an unsafe load? Yet it’s exactly the same load on the back of your truck
not really, the wheels of the transit aint likely to fall off when its on the flatbed
@@stevecampbell7589 I had a vision of arriving at the scrap yard, just with a set of wheels securely strapped down, the rest having fallen off en-route.
Nope as the big recovery truck can carry a much larger weight you dumb fool
Go on Shane !!! Still got his blue punto
MOT on that wow u got a number for that guy 🤣😂🤣
Who ever done it was smart advised all the rot just said it wasn’t seriously weakened 😂
I was thinking it doesn't look to bad but then you showed us how bad it really was😳😁

Don't come to Kansas then. Our farm trucks make that look like a show room new vehicle.
What risk? Transits are body on chassis, the cab is not structural it doesn't even have a safety cell.
should be jailed for this . they get away with murder
SO you give the gold members everything we see and all the editing room shite lol
I love your videos all the time and I inject it
Totally illegal to raise that 😂😂😂 no covers
Where does he go for mot haha a could do with a few pm me
I got it as a Peugeot Partner nit a Ford transit too
Surprised the Cops didnt Seize it and get their own Contract Firm to move it
Why the random capitalisation?
I had a transit a few years ago less rotten and they pulled me into Tesco car park then called for a trained officer to examine it

I just reg checked that old transit how it got an MOT in that state last year I don’t know

Love how that transits got over 200 days mot on it with how rotten it was loool
