I rate the visor on this helmet very highly. I love the large viewport and detents. I ride with the visor cracked. open very slightly or on the first detents. For me It’s quieter and more comfortable than the Shoei Glamster. I prefer it to most helmets I’ve tried.
Just got mine today in XL size. Always get white as I think it’s more visible and gloss black was impossible to find in stock in the UK. Fits great and really comfortable. Love the clean look and can’t wait to try it out on the road.
Thanks for the addition! That's correct, we've since sorted the pocket, and it really is a nice final touch to the X3000. How have you found the AGV helmet?
@@Championhelmets have the white version and I'm very pleased with it. It's comfortable, light and the linearity of it's design is a big bonus nowadays in my view.
The 70s AGV helmet was my first helmet ever. Visor mechanics are essentially the same, the newer is slighty revamped. In my opinion the "silly" visor position it's still useful during summer times, was the only way to get intake air in the past. The problem with the original helmet is that was foggy during winter. With the new air flow this should passed by. This helmet got a better review than similar japanese retro models and is about 60% the price.
AGV certainly a nice job in crafting a quality retro helmet, which still seems to be quite the challenge. Even when we road tested our top retro helmets, we still found that the X3000 tied for first while still offering an excellent value for money. You can also see how all these helmets compared here: ruclips.net/video/5Lc9nZo6Tek/видео.html Thanks for letting us know how you found the helmet, we always appreciate it! What did you think of the AGV helmets performance out on the road?
@@Championhelmets nowadays in "modernity" times, I'm using a Nolan N9x series helmet. But, in the evenience you want to buy a vintage historical motorbike I think you shouldn't be allowed to drive it without a modern-retro helmet... :D
That is often the case with retro helmets. Since the focus on looks does have an effect on the helmet design, particularly when it comes to ventilation and the visor. Thanks for the comment! How have you found the X3000 out on the road?
nice review, great helmet...I would especially like to mention that you have also tested the helmet in riding mode! Only the fewest do that. And as a little info: so that you don't lose the ventilation cover, there is a small pocket in the lining of the neck roll ;-)
like I said, great helmet. I like the retro look and the quality of AGV is beyond question. This will probably be my next helmet - which I will probably buy at champion helmets :-)
That's a great question! Unfortunately, it is somewhat difficult to gauge between the two since only the Bullitt has been tested by SHARP and both are also very similar as far as what safety features have been built into the helmet. Looking at the SHARP scores though, the Bullitt only received 3 stars while AGV almost always scores 4 or more. So, this would likely be the case with the X3000, though it does still need testing. What's your opinion of the AGV helmet?
@bengy1988 Though AGV generally run a little small, the X3000 does fit true to size so the ML should be correct. Otherwise, the best option is to try the helmet on in a local store (though this may not be possible given the current situation). Thanks for the question! What do you think of the X3000?

Actually there is a special slot inside the helmet where you can place the air vent gasket so you don't loose it

Just as complicated as my old 90's helmets.
Nothing wrong with that.
They've made it basic but safe.

@@Championhelmets really a premium helmet!!!
@@Championhelmets is it the Black matt one a Little delicate? A lot of matt helmets are easily subject to usury
The matte finish on the helmet is of good quality, but, like most matte finishes, it will still be more delicate than other finishes
What is the division between the 3 shell sizes (in terms of helmet sizes) please? Cheers!
The division of shell sizes for the X3000 are the first shell size covers XS - MS, the next is ML - L, and the third is XL - XXL

hello. how's the dark visor fairing during evening rides?
Not too great honestly, but that goes for rpetty much all dark visors. Great during the day but not ideal in the evening.
Thank you is really nice review ☺️
