Glad to know I wasn't the only one that noticed. Or maybe he's just losing his mind because of screaming all day long after getting hit by items.

First Bowser’s Castle I ever played in Mario Kart. A scary and memorable track for me!
Bowser's Castle and Rainbow Road are my favorite courses in this game. So much nostalgia.

Mario was done dirty too. Best thing you can do on this track is get 3 red shells or a string of banana peels and just hang onto them for when someone gets close enough to throw them up and over the wall.
So much nostalgia for this level.
This makes a perfect Halloween themed level.

Why did Toad say "Yahoo!" when he got hit by Bowser's red shell (around 0:41)? Good god, sometimes this game cracked me up from stuff like that.

The Thwomps in this game are complete trolls. It’s more of hitting them and spinning out rather than getting crushed by them. They aren’t as bad in the Mario Kart Wii on this same course(which appears as a retro track).

This track is kinda spooky. Something about the lighting, the lava, the sky and the music make me uncomfortable. But those are reasons I like this track.
who ever designed this track hated me and wanted me in a hospital from getting a fucking coronary.
Very creepy level for a mario game. Even the wii version i played as a kid was creepy too.

If I need a reminder of how unfair this game is, I always turn to this track. Cheating AI, nearly impossible to dodge obstacles, spinning out at literally nothing, all of it is here in this one infuriating track.
That being said the music is a banger
Lots of places to totally screw your Opponents with on this level. A red shell or banana peel can easily be the difference between a win or loss here, and getting the timing for the thomps down right.
Between this track and banshee boardwalk on 150cc or the bonus reverse levels it’s easily the hardest.
good thing its alot easier to drift since in mkw they introduced inside drift with bikes

Marty the thwomp was green here in Mario Kart 64, but why is Marty not green in the Mario Kart Wii reappearance of the N64 Bowser’s Castle?
Does it seem that getting through the course is easier in Mario Kart Wii(where this course reappears as a retro track) than in this game? In the Mario Kart Wii, you don’t spin out if you hit a Thwomp(not getting crushed) but in Mario Kart 64, you do spin out if you hit a Thwomp.
This track is literally everything wrong with "Mario Kart 64" all rolled up into one.

You ain't gonna finish this track at 2 minutes and 13 seconds in the Mario Kart Wii version of this track without glitching or action replay codes

no se porque la versión que tengo del juego (en un emulador) Las rocas picudas cambian de texturas por cada vuelta, una vez vi que tenian la textura de las ruedas de los autos de toad's turnpike, y otra vez los vi con la textura del pasto XD
